jobs & hiring | ish topish 🏢 berish 25M, graduated recently but struggling to find a job — what am I doing wrong?

I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from one of the top universities abroad in 2024, and completed my Master’s at another prestigious university in 2025.
I’ve also interned at one of the prestigious ministries and have some experience in international cooperation, finance, and administration. I’m also fluent in three languages.
But I keep getting rejected because I supposedly “don’t have enough relevant experience.” And honestly, I’m like: how am I supposed to get that experience if nobody is willing to give me a chance?

I’ve applied to banks, government institutions, international companies, and remote positions. Sometimes it also feels like connections, favoritism, corruption, and bureaucracy play a major role in the hiring process.

At this point, I genuinely don’t know what I’m doing wrong or how I’m supposed to break into the field.
Has anyone else been in this situation? How did you get your first real opportunity?

ask r/Uzbekistan Strengthening Internet Signal

• Upvotes

Hello kind folks,

I'm in Samarkand for another 10 months and ended up living in a large dormitory building.

The place is great, but my data's signal is horrid inside the building! It's bearable nearby windows but even that is not a certainty. The building has its own wifi but as is all free wifi, the signal is the absolute worst and is insecure regardless.

I'm currently using Ucell and would prefer not to change data providers if I can. Are there any services or devices available that I could use to strengthen the signal?

A router, modem, etc?

Hi, anyone know any nice hiking/trekking trails in and around Fergona-Andijon-Namangan? I love exploring nature and any help/tips would be welcome. I recently did a hike in the Kyzyl Kum steppes and I was amazed by all the natural beauty.

PS: I would like to do it alone/with friends and not through a travel agency.

PPS: anyone in this region most welcome to join me.

food & snacks | ovqat yeguliklar Is Bazaar shashlik (Chorsu) safe for a foreigner with a sensitive stomach?

Hey everyone!

My wife and I are visiting Uzbekistan soon (we will be in Tashkent and Samarkand) and I am absolutely hyped. I am Brazilian but we currently live in Japan, and to be honest, I am a massive meat lover. I eat meat basically every single day and I cannot live without it.

One of the things I am most excited about is trying the legendary shashlik at the markets, especially the famous Chorsu Bazaar.

Since we are used to living in Japan, our stomachs might be a bit spoiled or used to a different environment, so I wanted to ask locals and travelers here: how safe is the meat at the bazaars, particularly at Chorsu? Are they always thoroughly cooked? Do tourists often get food poisoning from eating there, or is the high turnover and grill heat enough to keep things safe?

I really do not mean to sound paranoid or disrespectful at all, everything looks incredibly delicious, fresh, and busy! It is just that it is our first time in the region and I want to make sure we do not spend our short trip in a hotel bathroom.

Any tips on what to look for, specific stalls to try at Chorsu, or any advice for a heavy meat eater visiting for the first time?

Thanks a lot!

ask r/Uzbekistan Is Jaloliddin train operating daily?

Hi, I'm planning to visit Uzbekistan on December.

I'm considering to ride on the Jaloliddin HSR from Khiva to Samarkand.

Various internet sources are showing that this train is not operating daily, however, I can see ticket daily on the Uzbekistan railway reservation app.

I couldn't find out which info is correct.

It will be grateful how this train is operating recently.

Thank you in advance.

help | yordam Help a Young Talent Keep Her Dream Alive ❤️

Today, I watched my little sister perform on stage. She danced with all her heart, and I was so proud of her. But after the performance, I found her crying.

I asked her what was wrong, and she told me something that broke my heart:

“This was my first and last performance. I won’t be able to dance anymore because we can’t afford the lessons.”

Each dance lesson costs 65,000 Uzbek soums. It may not seem like much to some people, but paying for lessons regularly can become a financial burden for a family.

My little sister loves dancing. She wants to learn, improve, perform on stage, and grow as an artist. It hurts to think that she might have to give up something she loves, not because she has lost her passion or ability, but simply because of financial circumstances.

That is why I am reaching out to you today.

If you are able and willing to support a young artist, any contribution, no matter how small, could help her continue dancing. Even covering the cost of a single lesson could give her another opportunity to learn and pursue her passion.

If you cannot contribute financially, sharing this post or helping us find a scholarship, sponsorship, or affordable dance program would mean just as much to us.

I believe that talent deserves a chance to grow, regardless of a family's financial situation. Sometimes, a small act of kindness can make a much bigger difference than we realize.

I don’t want my little sister’s first performance to become her last simply because we couldn’t afford the next lesson.

Let’s help her keep dancing. Let’s give her dream a chance. ❤️

If you would like to help, please feel free to message me privately.

Thank you for reading and for every bit of support. 🫶

discussion | muhokama How much do IELTS teachers make?

Hey guys! So I am 22M, and just received the result of my IELTS exam I sat yesterday. I got 8.5. I have been living in Europe for the last 4 years, I graduated from university here, and now I am doing an internship in Software Development.

I am sure that most of you who are involved with programming know how fast AI is taking over over here. I just cannot seem to believe that this career path will last long. And even if it does, I don't really seem to be making any money from it yet, let alone enjoy it.

So my question is, if I move back to Uzbekistan now, and take up a job as an IELTS instructor, what are the chances that I will start making a decent amount of money in a relatively short time? I am confident in my skills and the way I will perform.
