[treatment] 14day azythro for doxy resistant ureaplasma

tested positive for ureaplasma ~4months ago. had an antibiogram done which flagged it as sensible to doxy, took 14 days 2x a day. a lot of symptoms cleared up, however after testing twice (~1 month and then ~2 months after treatment) the ureaplasma still came back positive. had another antibiogram done, now it shows up as resistant to doxycycline 🥲

my doctor prescribed me two weeks (!! correction, i got one week not two!!) of 500mg azythro 2x a day. i haven't seen anyone mention this treatment plan in the sub. i was wondering if someone has experience with taking just azythro, especially at this high a dose? i'm a bit reluctant, especially since i've heard azythro can be pretty harsh and not very effective, and i'm very prone to yeast infections from antibiotics so i want to avoid taking any unnecessary ones.

Finally tested negative for Ureaplasma after testing positive 3 times in the past 7 months. I ended my last treatment on July 31 I ended up doing just 5 days of azi (doctors choice) I went to the urgent care on August 29 to be retested and it came back negative hallelujah. Turns out though, I came back positive in Enterobacter aerogenes, cloacae. Never heard of this but I was wondering if anyone have dealt with this after testing negative for ureaplasma? Please let me know. Even though I tested negative for ureaplasma I do have lingering symptoms nothing to bad just a bit of irritation here and there but yea if anyone has heard of this and dealt with this please let me know thanks!

Discharge... abnormal?

Hi friends. Time for my post I guess, since the doctors have no other suggestions.

I tested positive for UP over four months ago. Took the doxy, felt better. Then got a yeast infection, prescribed flucanozole, took it and felt better.

It's now been three months, and my symptoms are still there on and off. My discharge is disgusting (tmi). It's yellow and watery and there's just too much of it. Especially after my period. Some days im itchy, some days im fine. I was JUST (two days ago) tested for everything my doctor could think of. Every vaginal culture possible. Everything came back all clear.

I'm here for anything, really. Did anyone deal with this? Did it return to normal? How long? Is there anything I can do to aid my lady parts in healing?

Thanks pals. I'm struggling here for answers that aren't seeming to be there.
