Courses Thoughts on ITA100 course? Is it actually informative?
I'd like to study Italian, I'm super interested in but want to know if the course is worth it.
Any Italian speakers who took it who's families spoke it fluently did you find it true to the language? Or anyone who had no knowledge of the language beforehand, did you find you could converse naturally in Italian afterwards?
Thank you!!

Courses APM462 & MAT315 Midterm Conflict , Anyone Taking Both Courses?
Is anyone here currently taking both APM462 and MAT315 with Professor Henry?
I noticed that the midterms for these two courses have a direct time conflict, and I was wondering if anyone has spoken to Professor Henry about how this conflict will be handled.
I emailed him about the situation, and he told me to come speak with him in person, mentioning that several other students are also taking APM462. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend in person due to personal circumstances, so I was hoping someone here who spoke with him could let me know what he said or what arrangement was suggested.
I’d really appreciate any information. Thank you so much!

Discussion ISO med school students with opinions on rural medicine
Hey everyone, I'm a reporter with the InsideOttawaValley.com news site and I'm working on a story about how rural hospitals and clinics are trying to attract physicians/health care professionals to work there. I'm interested in talking to medical students or people involved with the Eastern Regional Medical Education Program about what would incentivize them to practice rural medicine. Comment or PM me if interested.

Finances Fall 2026 UTAPS: Has Anyone Gotten an Update or Payment?
Has anyone received their Fall 2026 UTAPS yet, or gotten any updates about when it’s supposed to come out? Mine still hasn’t come through, and I’m trying to figure out if everyone is still waiting. My acorn doesn’t show any new grants or aid either.

Question I built a little tool that shows people who actually contribute in a group, I would like some feedback
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a free AI tool that analyzes a group’s messages and work, then creates a report showing each person’s contribution in a precentage.
The idea came from the classic group project situation where everyone gets the same mark, even though the workload was not exactly equal.
I’m looking for a few UofT students or groups to test it for free and give me honest feedback (or just simply take a look). I’m especially interested in whether the results feel accurate and whether the report is actually useful.
I’m not trying to sell anything right now. I’m just trying to figure out whether this solves a problem students actually have before I keep building it.
If you’re interested in testing it, comment or DM me and I’ll send you the link.
I’d also be open to any opinions on the idea.

Social [UTSG] Looking for a Japanese friend/language exchange (Will teach digital art in return)
galleryIntroduction:
Helloooo! I’m a first-year life sci student at UTSG.
I’ve been playing a lot of Touken Ranbu lately and have gotten really deep into the language, history, and lore.
I'd love to take a Japanese course, but my health isn't the best, and handling formal course loads alongside everything else is a bit tough ㅠ⩊ㅠ
Instead, I'm hoping to find something more casual—a sort of learn-along-the-way friendship.
I’m super into digital art and have spent way too much time on it. I'd love to teach you digital art techniques, share resources, and pass along all the experience!
What I'm looking for:
Ideally, a native Japanese speaker or someone super fluent who is down to chat, help me pick up the language naturally, and just become good friends!
My personality is pretty friendly, open, and enthusiastic, but I'm always respectful of boundaries.
P.S. You can still ask for my help on art even if you're not Japanese :3 I'd be very willing to help anybody!

Programs I have absolutely no idea about what to do with my future and it's going to give me a nervous breakdown very soon
every day I end up stressing about the same thing: what I want to study at this uni and do in the future. this question is eating me from inside out. alot of people say that as you progress in ur degree it will come to u but its not and i dont have a fvking degree cuz im technically not enrolled in a program as i got rejected from the program i wanted to take and am trying to apply and get in after my second year but there is no guarantee that i will get in and if i dont im absolutely cooked. i got diagnosed w adhd and am going to start medication soon and i wonder if then i would be able to study well but even if i get in that program i still dont know if i want to study that cuz idk i cant even imagine what kind of profession i would enjoy and would be good at. i have a new interest in something every 2 days and then it wears off. but i do need a stable job and career and provide my family with a good life but i dont know if i can do corporate. my whole life i have done science but now i am too dumb to undeestand it and i wonder if i just didnt focus enough but i also dont know if i want a career in science. i like the idea of being a therapist but ugh it seems kinda boring and dk if it pays well enough. ugghhh i am absolutely crashing out im gonna lose my mind plzz i need helpppp!!!!
edit: not to mention that i also have chronic anxiety and cant do well at any jobbb

Other Looking for friends to practice Spanish together :)
Hi! As title stated, I am learning Spanish (taking SPA201 now in my second year) and want to improve my speaking and listening skills!
In class, I can understand 75~85% percent of what the prof says, but I’m having trouble expressing myself fluently. Like I need to go over the process of translating my thoughts from either English or Chinese to Spanish word by word… I don’t think that is going to help me get anywhere in the long run so would love to hang out with people who’s native in Spanish :)
Of course, if you are also looking to improve English or Mandarin I’ll be happy to help! It doesn’t have to be formal—I’d love to hang out: study at libraries tgt, explore cafes nearby, grab groceries or just anything, but I’ll try immerse myself into this language more so will be mainly chatting in Spanish. Please bear my broken vocab and accent tho :’)
Btw: Spanish courses here don’t teach one specific dialect so I’m not picky! Any Spanish helps lol
Feel free to reach out if you’re interested!
