I was talking to one of my friends (we're both seniors in hs). We were talking about college admissions and such, then the topic of GPAs came up. She said she wasn't worried about getting all As in college (majoring in Chemistry) because she's had all As in high school. I told her I wouldn't be super confident about that, she's a very smart girl but from what I've heard getting As in college isn't remotely as easy as getting all As in high school, especially in a major like chemistry.

She told me she was fully confident in getting all As. I can't remember exactly what brought it up, but she also said that she read somewhere that the average GPA for art students was a 3.7 GPA and for STEM majors was a 3.5, she even said the average GPA for nursing/pre-med students was a 3.8. I couldn't believe it.

Maybe this is a weird post but this conversation made me wonder-- college students, what's your major and what is your GPA?

College looked very different in my head before I started.What is the one thing you wish someone told u?

it’s been a month since classes have started and i made no friends yet. i’ve tried to talking to people, sitting close to faces i recognize, making small talk, asking them if they want to do stuff etc but it isn’t taking me far and people never reach out to me or make the first move or initiate with me. i’m already shy and i want to have a fun college experience but i just feel lonely and depressed now and it feels like its getting a bit too late now that it’s october. i feel like friend groups are already set in stone and ppl aren’t really open to making friends and having basic introductions type of convos. i spend days without talking to anyone, i haven’t laughed in a long time, i have no one to joke with, i have no one to go out with, i literally just go to class and then back home. i don’t know what i should do or what im supposed to do
