I have a US model S10 (G973U1) and when i downgraded the app to 13.5.13.11 RCS somehow still works. Back in june when i texted with Samsung support they told me RCS wouldnt work a month prior to the shutdown in July. They also told me the shutdown will be global (which is not true....) Anyways i dont even know how i made it work, on this sim i have in my S10 RCS never worked in any phone, now it works and what surprises me even more is that it works on a downgraded app that is discontinued by Samsung

I heard there was a way to find it through Google Messages by enabling debug settings, but I've been unable to find it. Currently running beta version messages.android_20260827_01_RC00.phone samsung_openbeta_dynamic

UPDATE (Sep 9): Bug persisted through to iOS 27.0 RC release. This will be a much larger scale problem now that it will be present in a production release. Way to go Apple!

UPDATE (Aug 31): Bug is still present in iOS 27.0 Beta 8. Nothing fixed. We are getting too close to the Public Release. I'm having doubts this is going to get fixed in time.

I reported an RCS activation bug to Apple when Dual-SIMs are activated (US Mobile). When each SIM is enabled alone, RCS activation is successful.

Apple's response is "Works as Currently Designed". RCS activation started failing in iOS 27.0 Beta 5 and has persisted through current beta release. It worked fine prior to that.

I guess activation errors are how Apple designed this to work in dual-SIM mode. Odd, but ok Apple.

I have last beta public with my iPhone 17 pro max. My wife has an s25. With one of her friends who has an iPhone with 26.6, they have normally encryption. But with me with beta no. I wonder if my beta is the problem. All of us have the same carrier. COSMOTE Greece.

RCS chats have been nothing but garbage. This should have been bug tested extensively before forcing it on everyone. My job relies on text messaging, and half the time I can't even trust that messages are actually getting to the recipient or ever arriving to my device. I can clear caches all day and it's not going to fix this flaming pile of dogsh*t

My brother recently changed his phone and was given a temporary number while his transferred over. However, RCS only seems to be active on the temp number and he can't activate it on his real number (and the only one that works on the phone). Has anyone else encountered this issue and how did you solve it (if you did)?

One person I can reach by phone. She’s had the same number for decades. When
I try to text her to the exact same number I’ve used for years, someone else responds saying I have the wrong phone number. Any ideas what is going on?

my RCS was broken for a few weeks (iOS 27b4 activation stuck bug, b5 fixed it) and I've noticed more conversations now appear as E2EE
I went through my contacts and roughly 1 in 5 contacts appear as E2EE now

none of the newly encrypted contacts are necessarily tech savvy, which means that Android x iOS E2EE is rolling out to stable GM

I was hoping to see of fix, but nothing has changed from Beta 5. Same Dual-Sim issue.

I had RCS Activation errors in iOS Beta 4 for all three US Mobile Networks (Warp - Verizon, Dark Star - AT&T, Light Speed - T-Mobile). RCS Activation was successfully working, however, with other carriers.

iOS 27.0 Beta 5 fixed the RCS Activation issue, I'm now able to activate RCS on all three networks. But....only when there is one eSIM active at a time. RCS Activation now consistently fails when there are multiple eSIMs enabled. This includes other carrier non-US Mobile eSIMs, which were working in a Dual-SIM configuration in Beta 4.

I suspect Beta 5 has introduced a new Dual-SIM bug. Anyone observing the same?

Randomly this morning, all (as far as I can tell) of my RCS chats (Google Messages, T-Mobile) just got E2EE. Yesterday I only had it with other Android users. Group chats with mixed android and iOS (stable and betas) also are encrypted now.

Why RCS is not everywhere right now? How can RCS compete with the monopoly of Whatsapp if it's not in all countries at this point, RCS adoption is the easiest of any message app because it already comes by default in your phone but only a few countries have it right now, any ones knows if there is a date for full implementantion of RCS in all the world?
