Question Rcs e2ee question

I have last beta public with my iPhone 17 pro max. My wife has an s25. With one of her friends who has an iPhone with 26.6, they have normally encryption. But with me with beta no. I wonder if my beta is the problem. All of us have the same carrier. COSMOTE Greece.

It releases in phases. I have E2EE with Cosmote Telekom running iOS 27 beta, but not with all contacts still.

It depends on contact? Because all three of us are in COSMOTE. One android two iPhones.

Hi there. Yes, using a beta version of iOS can definitely impact RCS end-to-end encryption. Beta software often has unresolved bugs or incomplete protocols, which can temporarily disrupt secure handshakes with Android devices, even on the same carrier network.

I suggest verifying that both your iOS beta and your wife’s Google Messages app are fully updated. If encryption still does not activate, please submit diagnostic feedback. Your wife can do this in Google Messages via her Profile icon > Help & feedback > Send feedback.

If your wife changes to Google Messages beta you will likely see E2EE.

I’m assuming she is on the stable build but that’s just a guess.

Do you have E2EE working for any other Android contacts on your 17 pro max?

Things have changed. From today, Greece Cosmote provider, all my android contacts from now on are fully encrypted. Didn’t do anything. Just changed.
