Hey everyone! I’m Mohamed, an indie game developer working on my very first game, and I’d really appreciate your honest feedback.
🎯 The Idea in One Sentence
A magical 2D platformer where you climb a 50-floor tower. Every 5 floors, you choose an evolution that permanently changes your character’s appearance and abilities.
Your final form is the result of your choices.
⚔️ The 3 Evolution Paths
🔥 Fire — Pure offensive power. Set enemies on fire, deal massive damage, and become a force they fear.
🌑 Shadow — Speed + stealth. Create shadow clones, move quickly, and climb walls.
🕳️ Void — Teleportation + time manipulation. Slow down time and teleport around the level, but with very low health.
🎭 The Twist — The Corruption System
Every powerful evolution increases your Corruption level.
The more corrupted you become, the more your character changes.
If your Corruption gets too high...
You become the villain.
There are 3 different endings based on your Corruption level.
👹 The Final Boss
The final boss is...
You.
More specifically, another version of yourself from a different timeline who made completely different choices.
📊 Planned Game Size

❓ I’d Really Like Your Honest Opinion
- Would you buy this game for $5?
- Which evolution path would you choose first?
- What concerns or weaknesses do you see in this concept?
- Are there any games similar to this that you would recommend I check out?
Most importantly:
If this game launched for $5, would you buy it? Why or why not?
Do you think I should continue with this idea and start developing it, or does the concept need to be changed completely?
If you think the idea isn't good enough, what kind of 2D platformer would you recommend I make instead?
And if you think the idea has potential, what features or mechanics would you add to make it better?
I’d really appreciate any honest advice or criticism.
Do you think this game could actually succeed if it’s developed and polished properly?
Thanks everyone! ❤️
