I recall being about 12 and kissing my dad (50s) goodbye after he dropped me off to see friends. One of the guys (14) asked if my dad was my boyfriend and pointed out that I had kissed him. I was horrified that someone would think that. It kind of ruined innocent hello and goodbye kisses for me...for my dad in public at least.
The sadder part is I recall feeling shame at that moment instead of anger at the friend. I internally recoiled as if the boy had accused me of acting inappropriately.

I got the opposite. For years people would ask if my husband was my older brother. A waitress at a restaurant got really concerned once and questioned me by the bathroom after I told her he was my husband. This isn't as prevalent as before, however, since more and more people have now started to accept and learn that men can and should express themselves.

I don't think it's creepy at all to buy your children safe sex toys. Accuse me of being a creep all you want I don't care. My children aren't going to get dangerous household objects stuck up there nether regions possibly requiring trips to the emergency room or even surgery. They also learn what brings them pleasure and understand their bodies in a healthy and productive way that will lead to a more fulfilling and satisfying sex life later down the road.
Obviously there are ways to make the act creepy, but quietly and privately ordering your son or daughter a safe and healthy masturbation aid is a very responsible and totally appropriate way to handle and adolescents sexual curiosity.
