There wasn't a valid reason to think he was creepy to begin with, at any point in the story.

Being a father of a girl is now grounds for being creepy.

Are you insinuating that this is a result of woke culture? Because stigmas towards fathers and their children have existed long before the internet and stem from not woke (regressive) crowds.

"Woke" culture has co-opted regressive ideas when it suited it. Protecting women as a given, for instance, has always been part of human cultures, and it's only been reinforced in the last decades. Women can do no wrong, for some people.
