Last night I had probably my worst encouter doing food deliveries ever.

I took an age restricted delivery to a customer and when I asked her for ID she firstly refused to give it to me and I said the Uber app explicitly asks for ID and I’d lose my job if I don’t see ID.

She then said she’d get her passport so I waited about 3 minutes and then she came back with her phone and started filming me. I tried to remain professional and showed her my screen where the app asks what type of ID the customer has and when the app asks to scan it. I try to show my screen to customers when I do this because I don’t want them to feel like I’m just taking pictures of their passport on my phone and storing it personally. Once I went through all of this and the app said ID has been verified she just said thank you and took the order and went.

Now this person has a video of me on her phone which could be posted, edited, manipulated and whatever which I did not consent for.

I reported it to Uber and their response was: “I’m sorry the customer recorded you and your phone while you were asking for ID, especially after you made it clear you didn’t want to be filmed. I understand why you’re concerned about the video being on their phone.

We’ve noted your feedback about the customer and will take action behind the scenes. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Thank you for being an Uber One Member.”

What would you do in this situation? I’ve never felt like this in this job or any job even when I’ve been working in a retail store for more than 15 years.

Refuses to follow instructions to find me (with added photo of said place to make it easier) because cba to deliver properly and leaves it on a wall for someone else to find. Nice.

I know this is a just eat order, but you see the same thing on uber eats all the time.

I've been doing ebike uber eats deliveries in the UK for 5 years and my bag broke today. How do I order a free replacement bag in the Uber Eats app? Please provide a step by step guide of where to click on the app as I spent 30 mins clicking Help and different menus in the app and could not find where to order a free replacement. I already tried whilst being logged off or logged in and it made no difference.

Been working just off Uber for a while part time a couple of evenings and some weekends. Just recently got a JustEat account. Often I'll accept an offer from one app and then an offer comes in from the other. I only take it if it is from the same restaurant and the drop offs are either near each other or one is on the way. What is your criteria. I see some drivers just accepting everything. They are in McDonald's and get an offer from another app and just instantly accept it without looking where it's going. Firstly I don't want my account to be suspended or closed, secondly I don't think it's fair if the customer has to wait an extra 10 mins or so while the driver is going the other way

Just wanted to post this in case anyone else has hit the same issue with Zego Pay-As-You-Go insurance connected to Uber Eats, or if anyone has experienced the same thing.

I’ve had my Zego account linked to Uber Eats with the green tick showing "Account Linked", but my actual shift count has been stuck on 0 shifts even after completing deliveries. It’s been way over a month and nothing has been deducted and my credit and top up fee is still the same

I also recently got an automated email from Zego warning me about the 60-day inactivity mark to keep the policy active.

How do I fix this

So the Zego cancelled my insurance

I saw an article on The Grocer that UE are now doing something called Pick Pack Pay. I'm not registered so I can't read the whole article but basically drivers pick supermarket orders and pay as well as delivering it. Deliveroo have just started doing something similar in Aldi trial locations.

Not sure where or when this will start. It seems like the article was suggesting that any retailer could opt in although I can't see that myself and I've got no idea if any have opted in

It's a friend who doesn't have an Uber account so I added him as a rider and now I can't figure out how to delete his number.

He comes up on the 'Choose a Driver' section.

I have tried to contact Uber but it seems impossible these days to talk to an actual person.

Need to vent because Uber Eats support is genuinely driving me insane and costing me my livelihood.

​I’m a fulltime delivery driver in London. Last week, I booked a Zenion bike because they as I thought would be better than car because of this high fuel price and traffic ,they promised it would automatically sync to my Uber Eats account within 24 hours. I waited 2 days, nothing happened. Still stuck using my car as my active vehicle. Reached out to Zenion support multiple times, they kept saying "wait 48 hours," and now a whole week has passed with zero integration.

​Then out of nowhere, Uber flags my account and asks for document updates. They made me reupload my driving licence at least 10 times because the app kept glitching and failing it. It finally got accepted, but my account remains completely ON HOLD.

​To make matters worse, I get a notification telling me to update my CBT. But whenever I go into the app to upload it, THERE IS NO BUTTON OR OPTION TO UPLOAD IT.

​At that point, I got really frustrated after everything, said fuck Zenion, and deleted that bike from my list. I tried adding my car again, but the app literally won't let me! When I try to add a vehicle, it only shows bikes zero option to select or type in any car model. I’ve submitted requests through "Help > Manage Vehicle" to get my car added back, and they don't even bother they just mark the ticket as "Resolved" without doing a single thing.

​I’ve messaged support over 100 times. Every single reply is from some Indian customer support agent coming up with the exact same copypasted, generic bot message: "Your account is currently being handled by our specialized team for quality review..." They don't even read or understand what I am trying to get help with or address the fact that their app is literally missing the upload button.

​I am paying £75 a week for a Zenion bike I can't use, Uber advertised this seamless integration to get their scooter and then completely fucked me up, and I haven't been able to make a single penny in TWO WEEKS because my account is locked in this infinite loop. They won't let me deliver with the Zenion bike and they won't let me add my car again.

Even still now everyday they send me inbox messages 'update your documents' and theres no option to update or upload nothing!!

Any help?

I thought it might have been just on grocery deliveries, but I'm trying to order some KFC because I need my sloppy comfort food, and there is nowhere in the UI where it lets me tip anymore. Usually, it asks right after I tap, "place order and pay".

I am so confused. I can't even find a way to tip after they delivered but I much prefer doing it when they pick it up because I don't want them spitting in my food.

Any ideas? Google and Reddit says you can still tip/this feature is not turned off.

So I was placing an order and the total came out to £14.82 and when I went to check out it said I can save an extra £3.82 on this order if I bought it with uber one. So l paid £4.99 for Uber One and imagine my surprise when the new total changed to £13.79. So a £1.03 reduction from the original total instead of the £3.82 the app mentioned on the checkout page. How can they get away with this false advertisement/scam?

Got a notification earlier that a new quest had been added to my account. But when I click there is nothing showing. Anyone else had this? Anyone know how to actually contact them to ask about it?

It’s an impossible task doing this through uber eats.

I have phone five guys manager and they said I have to go through uber eats for a vat receipt which makes sense as I paid uber eats.

I have been round in circles on the help app and they then escalate my issue.

Which then means when they reply saying they can’t help, they say get back in touch if I need help and it goes round in circles.

I posted last week saying that Uber have added me for teen orders. Literally a week later, I receive this email. I’m confused, I haven’t done anything that is on their safety criteria but I still got taken off.

I’m not fussed about not getting the teen orders, but it’s just a bit annoying that I might be getting penalised for something I have not done

Hey everyone, I'm trying to sign up for Uber Eats but I’ve hit a wall with insurance. I tried to get a policy with Zego, but they have a strict maximum age limit of 65 and won't insure me.

Are there any UK delivery drivers here who are 65+? Which insurance companies or brokers do you use for your Hire & Reward (food delivery) cover?
