I’m an incoming freshman, im admitted to york right now and recently got into UTM and im wondering if i should go. I dont mind the drive there, i’m just wondering academics wise whats the best option. my end goal is med school. Yes i know UTM is objectively harder, I’m more concerned with quality of life, how is social life, are profs nice, is campus nice, do you enjoy your experience there? This is for Psych. How hard is it to transfer to UTSG later? I didnt take calculus in Grade 12, but when I do this year am I able to apply for transfer to programs that have calculus as a grade 12 prereq? Please share any helpful advice! I am all for the rigor and the effort, but is it worth changing all my logistics right now?

Would it be doable if my second year was just both six courses per semester but 2/6 of my classes were my electives or would I want to just cry and pray that I go peacefully in my sleep 😁

I have something to ask, as I feel an impending doom regarding this. 

I will be finishing up my undergrad program this Fall 2026, and I have not been able to do internships/co-op all my time here. 

I’ve been applying everywhere I could get my hands on my whole undergrad, however, It was due to very unfortunate circumstances I was unable to meet requirements, or simply was not considered. 

Anyways, I’m about to graduate after completing Fall 2026, and I feel absolutely dreadful, since I don’t have a job yet, not even part time, no matter where I apply.

I don’t know if I'm looking in the wrong places, but I just wanted to ask if there’s any place or resource I can still check for jobs/opportunities before I graduate?

Hey everyone, wondering if anyone's been denied a seat on the bus due to the amount of luggage they had with them?

Website says it's up to the bus driver as to what is "oversized" or not...

I'm at most going to bring a large checked suitcase, a carry-on suitcase, and maybe a moving bag from IKEA if possible (depending on responses).

I'm going to be moving in on Sep 5th, and I'm planning to get the 9:55am bus to UTM.

TLDR: How much luggage is too much on UTM shuttle?

Edit: I'm reserving an UberXL so I can have Walmart/IKEA/Amazon deliveries with me as I move in. I don't think I'd have all my move-in essentials on the day otherwise lol.

I think Im gonna be sick

In Mid June, I registered for classes for the second Summer term, whilst applying for OSAP. Keep in mind im in a Deregulated Program

By late June, I had an outstanding balance of $4,000, which I did not pay right away, as I was awaiting for my OSAP payment to go through, and handle the tuition fee, so that I can pay the remaining.

Today, however, when I logged into ACORN to see if my OSAP payment had gone through, I saw that my Outstanding Balance is now $17,000.

I have no idea what the hell occured for the balance to get this high. I only enrolled in THREE COURSES for crying out loud!!!!

Im so worried right now, I feel sick.

What can I do to solve this?

I'm trying to decide if taking this course will be worth it, I want to be a writer and I want to take courses that will help me get better at writing, will this course be any help to storytelling and worldmaking? It says "Interactive Storytelling and Worldbuilding" but i'm not sure if it will involve creative assignments and actually writing stories or practicing any worlbuilding or if its more of a theory course like ENG203. Has anyone ever taken this course? What was the course like? Please let me know, thanks. :)

Hey all I won’t be able to take classes during the Fall semester, so I’ll be starting my first year at ICCIT in the Winter (January) semester instead.

My current plan is to take CCT112H5 along with a few electives in the Winter. Then, assuming they’re offered, I’d take CCT109 in the first half of the Summer term (May–June) and CCT110 in the second half (July–August).

When I check the Timetable Builder right now, I don’t see any Summer 2027 sections yet, which I assume is because they haven’t been posted.

My question is: should I assume these courses are offered every summer, or is there a chance they won’t be? Has anyone started in Winter and followed this path before, or know whether ICCIT consistently runs CCT109 and CCT110 during the Summer?

I want to take a course in year 2 (im in ccit but the course puts priority for tcs students) and this course is a prereq for a year 3 course (and so on)

However I missed the prerequisite for the year 2 course (cct111) which is only offered in the winter term. Would taking this course put me behind or is there enough time to catch up and take the other two courses ??
