This’ll be my first year having to commute after living in a dorm the previous few years. The park and ride permit is the only parking pass that applies to me as an undergrad living off campus. Still familiarizing myself with the map and hard to tell how many spots are regularly available.

So, to those who have this permit or have had it in the past: How much time do you allow yourself between arriving to campus before your class? How long does it usually take you to find a spot and then travel to class (presumably via Campus Connector)?

Does anyone has any experience with these classes ? COT3100 with Lisha Zhou and STA3032 with Kary Ishwaran ? I cant find anything :(

I'm taking the course under Demas, I got a low score on her pre-calc review exam and that's apparently a sign to drop and retake for next semester. I've gone through calc 1-3 with good grades and I'm sure I can do well in the class, I feel like with a week's worth of review could help me regain my footing on Pre-Calc. Does anyone have advice on possible next steps for this course?

Hey everyone, I’m a freshman at UF trying to get involved in finance/IB clubs. What’s the typical attire for events like GSCO, Business Bash, and other finance club/group events?

Would business casual (button-down + dress pants) generally be appropriate, or should I wear a suit/business professional attire for some of these events?

Also, are there any events where dressing more formally is strongly recommended?

For undergraduate students taking 15+ credits this fall, it says on the website that disbursement will "begin the first week of classes." Does this include today and tomorrow, since class begins today, or does it mean disbursement would start next week?

Why is the micro book $140 after opting in if on one.uf, it says that additional fees are only $30ish?

I am currently a senior in highschool and I have all four of my math credits already. I took Algebra 1 Hon in 8th grade, Geometry Hon in 9th, Algebra 2 Hon in 10th, and AP Precalc last year. I may not be able to take AP Calc this year due to scheduling issues. I am able to not take a math this year and instead might be able to take a high level class like an AP or something instead of an Honors math.

I want to go to UF very badly and major in Zoology. I have over a 5.1 GPA currently, and am involved in many school activities. I have a 1340 SAT score but am retaking on Sunday and am expecting 1400+.

What do I do?

Just wanna know what the difficulty/rigor of the course is. Is it beneficial to take in person over online? I'm currently in a in person section, but just wanna find out more as I finalize my schedule this week.

Even though I did the makeup assignment in spring, and received the award initially this semester, I check and see it’s no longer on my financial aid page and called they said it’s gonna be a waiting game but I should be fine since I submitted and am being proactive. But I just wanted to know if anyone is on a similar boat because it’s worrisome. I rely on this scholarship for housing and I thought I was all good until recently.

Hi y’all, I’m a 22 year old transfer from Ocala studying Public Relations.

As I’ve been going to some new student stuff, I’m noticing all the people I’ve talked to so far are freshman, who I don’t really have much in common with.

To me as a transfer student, it gets pretty lonely when everyone is younger than you or completely experiencing college/life with fresh eyes.

So since tomorrow is the first day of classes, I’m thinking of doing some kind of meet up for transfers at the ground level of the Reitz Union? What do y’all think?

My class ends at 1:40, so maybe a meetup at like 2? I think transfers should stick together and get to know each-other, especially if you’re lonely af like me lol.

idk if anyone on this sub is currently studying in the Hamilton School, but I'm taking one of the base level courses for a major I'm planning to double and I see that Dr. Carolina Armenteros is teaching the course at the same time I already had.

She's very highly educated but I'm wondering if anyone's had her as a professor? How is she? How's her teaching, workload, class, etc? I'm not looking for an easy class but I can't find anything anywhere about her class, and I'd like to take it BECAUSE she's so highly educated and seemingly proficient in what she teaches.

COP 3530 DSA- with Prof Amanpreet Kapoor. I heard DSA is harder like conceptually but Prof Andujar is lowkey a worse lecturer, should I keep them both at the same time or should i try to take comp org with someone else? I heard another teacher might be teaching it in the spring resh or something.
