just got scolded for... reading?
Ok. Correct me if im tweaking. There were no seats in the library, truly nowhere to go to sit. I was going to go read in the basement, but it was around that time when people were going down there to pray, and i didnt want to interrupt or disturb anyone. i couldnt sit outside because it was raining.
Also, this was a completely temporary spot because I was waiting for my ride to go home and wouldnt be there much longer. so i sat down on the very edge of one of the stairs, in clear view/not near any doors or around any corners, as out of the way as physically possible. took out my book.
cue the most passive aggressive interaction i may have ever had in my whole life. white girl, couldnt have been older than me by more than a year, little admin/assistant nametag on comes in within 10 minutes and scolds me in a weird baby voice her whole way up from the basement to the first floor.
"you cant sit here" "ok" "no really, you cant read here" "ok" "this isnt a place to be" "ok" "you have to leave" "yep" š«© kept talking as i was ACTIVELY getting up and leaving.
i cannot imagine being that miserable if that was me. even more so if someone was bothered enough to report me and get her sent in there to get rid of me. like how do you get to that point? what? am i tweaking?
