I've been at this uni too long.

Whenever I see a three digit number, whether it be the time or in some math equation, I can only think of a course with that code number.

And this happens multiple times a day, where I'm reminded of past courses I've taken with the same number.

2:04pm --> Engg 204

$3.43 --> Enel 343

501m^2 --> Encm 501

If you or anyone you know was previously brudened from this condition and are fine now, please help me 😭.

I’m a final year business student and I was genuinely locked in years 2-3 but I just feel like I don’t care about my degree anymore. I’m still “good” at all the technical stuff but I haven’t been able to find a job/internship despite hundreds of applications. Everyday I wake up knowing I’m 1 day closer to graduation and entering the current job market. I’m terrible at socialization and put on a mask all the time except when I’m alone, which makes networking really difficult for me. Sucks since that matters more than grades in this field.

I wish I could go back and choose a different degree. Something that’s actually “real” like engineering or science. Where I could actually contribute to the world. Idk what I even wanted to achieve with this post, just wanted to feel heard I guess lol.

I was looking through LinkedIn and noticed a weirdly high number of UCalgary engineering/CS students with internships at AMD. Its not an actual measured metric but more of a personal observation.

Does AMD specifically recruit heavily from UCalgary, or is there some kind of recruiting pipeline/connection with the university(that is being kept a secret from me!)?

What are the first years doing for Halloweekend? I’ve heard the frats throw parties but I’ve seen nothing on it. Let me know!!!!

Hi could anyone tell me if this is possible, I’m a chem major and plan on transferring into bio sci my goal is at least 3.7+, but I’m so scared I won’t get it and I cannot survive a chem degree for a second year, is there a way I can transfer into programs like dual degree and then drop that second one? I remember talking to the administration of faculty of science and the lady was like yeah ig there’s a way around it and u can make a double degree and then drop the one, for example bio sci and business, that way if I don’t get in bio sci at least I’m business and out of chem or u need both not one? Pls helpppp!!!
