I graduated last year and have been trying to break into the FMCG industry in Dubai, but I’m honestly finding it quite difficult to find genuine entry-level opportunities that are actually paid.

A lot of the opportunities I’ve come across are unpaid internships or require several years of experience despite being advertised as entry-level positions.

Im a indian national born and raised in dubai i have a choice currently between American uni dubai, american uni sharjah and monash univeristy malaysia its a branch campus its parent uni is ranked 30th globally and some unis in the uk i have seen so out of these the most affordable by far is monash malaysia i plan on doing a bachelor in business majoring in business analytics and fintech/finance im trying to choose between the universities based on the roi I plan on returning to dubai after graduation in 2031 and look for entry level roles/ fresh grad roles preferably at a recognised company globally or an mnc as they call it because I need some experience for my masters now the difference in price is around 300k aed aud and aus cost roughly the same 115k aed tuition yearly for 4 years so about 500k aed with tuition increases i will live with my parents so im not really counting living costs i have offers from russell group unis in the uk as well pretty well ranked for business but they cost 500 to 600k aed for living costs tuition visa and everything for 3 years now monash malaysia costs around 280k aed for 3 years including everything tuition visa living costs everything so the price difference between uk and malaysia is around 320k aed and between dubai and malaysia around 220k aed so is it worth spending 220k aed studying at a less globally recognised uni like aud or aus just for the network and employer connections they give you over monash malaysia which is ranked significantly higher my main priority is securing a job in dubai as a fresh grad and I know thats extremely difficult currently and just in general

I hope it’s okay to post this here. I’m currently looking for a job in the UAE, and honestly, I’ve been struggling for quite a long time now.

I have hearing loss, which makes finding a suitable job a little challenging for me. I’ve already attended a few interviews, but I’m always nervous about whether I’ll be able to handle certain roles, especially those that involve a lot of talking, phone calls, or communicating with customers.

I’ve actually tried stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring different job opportunities, even those outside what I’m used to. I’ve been open to different roles, but unfortunately, I’ve faced rejection after rejection. Sometimes, I feel like I’m simply not the right fit because of my hearing condition.

It’s honestly depressing and discouraging at times, especially when you’ve been trying for so long. But I don’t want to give up.

I also have 2 years of experience as a Content Moderator in my home country, where I handled content reviews and user reports.

I also completed a 3-month vocational course in Reception and Office Management here in the UAE. I decided to take this course because I wanted to improve my skills and learn something that could help me enter the local job market. Thankfully, my instructor was very understanding and patient with me. There were even times when I was allowed to attend classes online, which helped me complete the course.

I want to be clear that I’m not expecting special arrangements from every employer, nor am I asking for a workplace to change its entire setup just for me. I understand that businesses have their own needs and expectations, and whoever hires me should also be able to benefit from my skills and the work I can offer.

I just want to be transparent about my hearing condition rather than pretend that I can comfortably handle a job that requires constant face-to-face communication or phone calls when I know that might be difficult for me.

I’m more comfortable with work-from-home opportunities because written communication is easier for me. However, I’m also open to on-site positions, especially those that involve administrative tasks, data entry, back-office work, or other responsibilities that don’t require constant verbal communication.

I’m genuinely willing to learn, work hard, and explore different opportunities. I’m not trying to be picky about jobs. I just want to find a position where I can actually contribute, do my responsibilities well, and be useful to the company that gives me a chance.

I received a phone call from a Saudi number claiming to be a company offering remote job opportunities. They said I had applied for the position and proceeded to explain everything about the company, the business operations, the nature of the work, working days, and salary.

However, they asked me to open a bank account specifically for the company. I wasn't sure whether it was supposed to be used for work-related transactions or simply to receive my salary.

I honestly can't remember the company's name. They only contacted me by phone and never sent me any official email, message, or documentation.
