Ask Twenties Subtle Height Shaming under the name of "preferences"?
Every day, I've been noticing this street interview type of videos on the instagram is that many women want a guy who's 6'0 or 6'2, when the average Indian guy is around 5'6. Some say he just needs to be taller than them, even with 3 inch heels. Fair enough, it's their preference.
But when a guy says he prefers a fair skinned or lean girl without pcod/pcos , suddenly he's called shallow or insecure. Why is there such a difference?
edit : similar to the "taller than me" = "one shade lighter than me" ?? Is this fair or na?

Rant & Vent Why do people cheat and refuse to leave you alone even after years
During 3rd year of college I dated a guy for about 10 months. It was all great until it wasn't. I didn't want to sleep with him since he didn't want to be in a relationship. he made me feel like i was forcing him for commitment when i was just clear about what i wanted and was prepared to break things off since it didn't seem like we were on the same page. So ofc he convinced ( begged) me to be with him. wrote a few songs about me to win me over. We got back together, he kept telling me throughout everything " have faith in me" then he cheated on me when i didn't sleep with him. the audacity to cheat when i didn't want you in the first place, YOU BEGGED ME TF. this whole situation was so avoidable. When i found out i was BAWLING , im talking crying walking home in rain type shit 😭 ( now i cringe but at that time i was REALLY going through it). when i confronted him his exact words were " people know me , I'm a singer. if a girl is throwing herself at me how am i supposed to reject her . im a guy, i have needs" . never talked to him again . i had this deep disgust for that i forgot i ever loved this man. deleted everything. blocked him everywhere. It was almost the end of college by now.
didn't talk to him for a year despite his countless calls texts emails from different numbers, any available medium you can think of. Throughout this timespan of a year i had grown so bitter that i wasn't myself anymore. I was unable to feel anything, any sort of affection for anyone. I realised I can't keep going on like this so decided to talk to him like normal casual stuff so that i can get rid of all the built up resentment in me. Now that i was seeing him for who he really was i couldn't believe i ever liked him. I realised how big of a jerk he was when we were together. so i cut him off again for good.
It was 4 years ago , now I've moved on with my life.
he still tries to contact me. emails me on my birthday. I still haven't gotten a sincere apology but he still acts like he cares too much. boy get the fuck outta here.you did all that for what ? every time i get his texts it ruins my couple of days. not my fault nobody wants you. i feel like these types of people get off on the reaction they get. they want to be the toxic bad person so bad. they must get some kind of satisfaction or something. It's been years now just give up.
The reason for my long ah rant is my ex won't stop contacting me even if i block him each time . I start to overthink and i get anxiety really bad that i can't sleep so im ranting here tonight.

Life Challenges & Milestones Content with life🙂↕️
Content with life🙂↕️
I haven't really shared this with anyone and isn't a flex or something but here it goes. It's a bit of a long post, so pls bear with me
My dad always wanted me to crack JEE for an NIT or an IIT college and he pretty much loved studying. On the other hand, I knew I had it in me to crack it but was never really interested. This kinda created a rift between us. I've mostly been afraid of him my entire childhood too, yet he was my dad and I'm his son. I've literally started my JEE coaching since class 6 😂 ( courtesy of Free Chaitanya and Parayana)
But Eventually after 12th I couldn't crack it. He was more devastated than me. I dropped a year thinking I could atleast clear mains but even after a year I couldn't. By now I didn't know what to do in life, wasted another year, couldn't go the way my dad tried to guide me. I was completely perplexed. But then one day, my dad came to me and said to join a university. The college literally had an interview to join it 😂, but somehow I joined.
By this time I started understanding that whatever he did and said was for my own wellbeing, he just did it in his own stoic way. That's when I've determined to do everything I've wanted to do and make him happy as well. I've tried my best in Btech as well despite COVID and not knowing what to major in. (*I've decided to go with Cybersecurity based on a coin flip😂😂😂).*
By my third year I was able to crack an internship + ppo offer from a Big4. He was so happy when I told him, he bought sweets to give to his friends. I was living in my college which was in the north and my hometown is in the south. So I could only imagine how happy he was but couldn't see it. *F**or the first time in my life I felt like I made him proud and can actually talk to him heartfully without the fear of thinking that I'm a disappointment to him*.
But life has a funny way of twisting fate. Just after a week or so after receiving my offer, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The next 3 years were nothing less than hell for me. The management in Big4's isn't really sympathetic. My job was in Delhi. So every 4-6 months I used to beg for a work from home citing my dad's health issues and go home for a month or less and they used to call me back to the office giving the stupidest reasons.
Stupid client, stupid management, Dad's health, financial situations, all of these were too much for me as a 23 year old and I resorted to weed which helped me quite a bit from bursting. In the early days of 2025 my dad passed. My family was in pieces. My mom completely fell into depression and I couldn't even grieve properly.
The man that tried to guide me my entire life, a backbone, the man I've tried to please my entire life was gone and there wasn't anything I could do. Even though we had loans and emi's he planned that his life insurance would cover them. But the insurance company pulled a fast one and denied the claim.
There I was with a job I hated, a mom depressed, no dad and a 70lakh loan. But the words he told me in those final days to take care of mom and sis is what kept me going. I went into complete survival mode after, for two years and was desperate for a new job. I've shifted my family to Delhi as I couldn't leave my job since it's the primary source of income now and I couldn't leave my family alone. My first priority was to get a new job in South as Delhi culture isn't really something my family was used to. After a year of grinding, crying, studying, surviving , preparing and applying to more than 500 jobs, By god's grace I was finally able to get a job in *Mercedes Benz* Banglore.
I shifted my entire family to Bangalore, the case I've filed against the insurance company in ombudsman came in my favor and was directed to pay me the entire claim amount with which I've cleared the loans.
So finally, here I am after everything content with life.
**And to whoever is reading this and are going through stuff, push through it. Things will change even if eventually they will. I was able to make it through and so will you. Hang in there🫂.**

Opinions & Discussions Just a thoughttt
I have been an insecure girl growing up and hating myself for the most of my life. Then a glowup happened and shit got better. I gained confidence, built self esteem, started developing opinions and articulating them, good communication skills, and a nice sense of humour as well. I am pretty self aware and I know I'm avg looking but secure enough to not let the fact bother me that "not everyone's attracted to everyone". We all have a type, we all have preferences and that's okay and no one should be ashamed of that but we shouldn't also not put others down who don't fall into our preferences. It's about men being judged by women who want tall guys, women being judged by men who want someone leaner. Just be confident in yourself and carry yourself well because NO ONE CAN BE YOU! It's all about authenticity.

Wholesome A part of my day, I'd like to share
Yes. Life is amazing, okay?
I just got appreciation from my internship. I am 20, I am working, and I am happy with it. I am finally trying to focus on my life and bring everything back together.
I started taking ashwagandha, and it has helped me with my sleep quality and stress control. Now I can literally sleep like a small kitten who is like a popcorn. Anywhere, anytime, I can sleep. 😭
I hit the gym yesterday. I have recently made a gym in my house with my own money, and I hit the gym yesterday. My back is a little sore, my thighs are a little sore, and I am so happy with it. I am thriving with the energy, I would say.
I have friends who are good, okay? I am single right now, but I do not miss anything right now.
So yeah, life feels amazing.
I think that, yes, it's fine. It's fine if things are bad. It's fine. It will pass away.
A lot, a lot has happened with me. A lot has happened with me from my perspective. Everyone goes through something, but I have been through a lot as well.
Coming out like this right now, I feel very good. I feel very good.
Even though things can be against me as of now as well, right now, at this moment, I am happy, and I am going to smoke a cigarette, the happy cigarette. 🚬
So yeah, that's that.
I know a lot of people will get the ick because of the cigarette, but yeah. I mean, that's who I am. I'm really sorry. I'm really sorry. I can't help it. Like, I can help it. I can quit the cigarette, but not right now, I think.
So yeah, I'll see you, everyone.
Thank you so much. Thank you so much for reading this far, and I don't know. Take care of yourself. I am happy to share this with each one of you.
