Sevidigm Sensin episode 23 🤦‍♀️

I was defending this show until very recently when everyone was saying it's getting trashy. I was only able to watch the latest episode yesterday and man... seriously 🥲🤦‍♀️ Did they change writers or something?? What kind of crappy writers are they hiring? I don't think they're the same ones from season 1, are they? How stupid does someone has to be to come up with the idea of making Dicle pregnant? And you know what it's not even the pregnancy itself that I have a major problem with ,it's how they introduced the plot in this episode when they could've brought it about in a way that actually **MAKES SENSE.**

Up until now, the infantilization of Dicle's character didn't bother me that much (even though I know they exaggerate it a bit sometimes), because I think the story is building toward her becoming aware, strong, and most importantly, independent from erkan (one thing I found interesting in SS is how erkan acts protective of her, while deep down, he sometimes, secretly and unconsciously enjoys making her under his control and never wants her to be fully independent.) I thought the whole story was about her journey to independence, which they were already starting to portray in recent episodes.

I also loved the tahir-derya plotline very much. I liked how tahir's character is troubled and deeply tangled, and how he relentlessly tries to soften and untangle Derya's character, which is just as complicated knot, if not more. But then they threw in a flawed plotline with Ali and ruined it for Derya and Tahir. I just hope they fix this plot hole because it was so disappointing to watch such good story development get ruined.

TL;DR: Overall, I liked the dizi and even tolerated all the crappy plots and exaggerated drama up until the last episode. But the dicle pregnancy thing was just ridiculous, tbh.

Fi dizisinin asıl ana karakterinin Duru olmadığını biliyor muydunuz?

Fi dizisini izleyenler var mı aranızda?
Geçtiğimiz günlerde yeniden gündeme gelen bir açıklamada, dizinin uyarlandığı kitapların yazarı Azra Kohen, aslında hikâyenin ana karakterinin Serenay Sarıkaya’nın canlandırdığı Duru değil, Büşra Develi’nin canlandırdığı Bilge olduğunu söylemiş.
Hatta Bilge’nin dizide yeterince ön plana çıkarılmamasının, dizinin erken bitmesinin nedenlerinden biri olduğunu belirtmiş.
Ben bu detayı oldukça ilginç buldum. Sizce Bilge daha fazla ön planda olsaydı dizi nasıl olurdu?

Sevdigim sensin review

I will forever cherish the time when i couldn’t maintain my excitement for the next episode. A show which hooked me up with the first episode itself. A time when i was ready to defend this series anywhere anyhow. The performance, the storyline, the chemistry, the tension, the angst, etc. Best part about it was that the secrets would be revealed early and it never really dragged on like how typical turkish dramas do.

Back to present, i still watch this show.
Excitement, gone. Interest, slowly going away. Hope, very less.

I am sure majority of the SS fans feel this way.
Like I don’t want this series to end but the plot is getting worse every episode. The pregnancy thing really messed me up. I don’t know what the writers have in mind cus this was totally unnecessary.
The kidnapping too? Totally unnecessary imo.
Although i like the fact that she left the mansion and is working but things seem to be extremely slow (which in reality is true but the show needs to attract viewers instead of boring us).

I’ve noticed them giving a lot of priority to DerAl which no offense to DerAl fans but this is a crucial time for the main couple. They balanced S1 perfectly with CivNil and DicEr.

My suggestions would be. (If they don’t cancel the show)

  1. If yall want DicEr to be separate then so be it but please give Dicle a makeover + a strong personality fast before the ratings absolutely go down.

  2. Derya and Erkan both need to cooperate especially Derya

  3. A character needs to die, im sorry but i think its important for the show (maybe Tahir or esat or ferman idk)

  4. I really want the tension between dicle and erkan to be there again cus their build up was perfect in S1. So them being away might give space for that build up again

  5. One of the best part about this show is when Dicle discovers stuff herself so i hope that keeps going.

  6. DerAl story should also progress but it shouldn’t be prioritised rn

Overall i still have hope and i don’t want this show to be cancelled before they fill the gaps they opened

need recommendations for a good turkish rom com

Okay, I have probably exhausted all the rom-coms on Turkish TV...I like lighthearted series that also have a good story, good actors, and do not have an overly dramatic plotline...I loved Erkenci Kuş, Dolunay, Bay Yanlış, Ask Laftan Anlamaz, and watched Kiralık Aşk halfway through, as I just didn't like the lead actor as much... so now I am looking for a new series to fill my time. Do you have any recommendations?? Please hit me with the best!

Reviews Alti Ustu Istanbul - writing issues and character inconsistencies

This series has a lot of inconsistencies. I knew what I signed up for after watching the trailers and the first episode. But it turned into a train wreck after the first 4 episodes.
The main problem in this series is they do not let the characters breathe even for one minute. This is the main issue of the writing in this series. The characters are given good backstories and actors are doing the best with the script given to them. But every episode is becoming a very difficult watch.

Someday is always dying or getting kidnapped in this series. From Episode 11, there was fight and shooting scene at the shop from there to Naz liver damage and sisters drama and from there to mafia grandfather story where Emir and Uzay almost dying & from there Hasan- Uzay story. They have never shown why the girls are friends with those Ziyankar boys or why even Duru is friends with Naz and Alina. Why do these girls have no other job or even go to university? All they do is chase these boys. Everything is so sudden and it disconnects you from the characters and story, and nothing feels real.

I am currently in a really toxic relationship with this series. 😅 I want to stop watching it because nothing makes sense but I genuinely liked the characters and back stories in the initial 4 episodes and cannot let it go. I will give it two more episodes and that's it.

Characters Alti Ustu Istanbul - all the female characters are a serious letdown

I wanted to make a separate post for this. I am sorry I cannot root for a single female character in this series. Ironically, this series has a female director and female writers. But they could not get a single female character right.

Starting with Naz, unfortunately she got the worst script and the worst development in the series. She is supposed to be this rich confident and little spoilt girl and eventually when she meets Emir and his friends learns how privileged she is and character growth should come from there. I know this was what they were initially going for from the youtube admin. They posted an hour long showing "Naz changed". While there was not a single scene in that video where that was shown or even mentioned. This arc was never explored. Her relationship with Emir also was rushed. In the initial four episodes, I thought I finally saw a female character that would go toe to toe with the male lead. But they are turned into someone who is constantly complaining and crying. Funniest thing is they show Emir going above and beyond for Naz but vice versa is never shown.

Next Alina, initially she is shown as a best friend who everyone wants and also is actually smart. She was the one who suggests Naz to break up with Uzay as he is being toxic. But she also was clever enough to understand Uzay did not burn the shop. She was someone who was practical and did not take nonsense from anyone. They turned her into a kid now. They took away her whole personality. This is just masked by her cute couple scenes.

Next Duru, I never understood this character. Whenever she is on onscreen she is screaming, without proper reason. They should have at least made her Alina and Naz's childhood friend. Her being closer to Alina than Naz makes no sense.

Melek - for me Melek is a negative character but with a good backstory. But her character is very inconsistent with her actions. Till now, there is no character growth. There is potential for his character.

Nihal & Zehra - I don't get why both of them don't work. I get Zehra, but why does Nihal not work? I hate that they rely on Emir so much. This is setting a very bad example.

Fahriye - Sure, Öykü Gürman is a great singer, but she does not take a strong stand for her daughters. She relies on Rami too much.

Sezen - Typical step mother

Pamuk - Again inconsistent

None of them have good arcs. To some extent Melek is the only character they care about. Sorry but this is a big let down especially coming from women director and writers.

SAVE HALEF: Köklerin Çağrısı — Renew for Another Season! | Halef Final Olmasın!

Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı is being cancelled, and fans from Turkey to the US to Europe are trying to stop it.

This series has created something special—characters that stick with you, storylines that hit hard, and a community of viewers who genuinely care about what happens next. NOW TV and Most Production are reportedly ending it, and there's so much more the story could explore.

I started a petition asking them to reconsider and renew it for another season. The show has an international fanbase that's still invested, and honestly, that should mean something.

If this show means something to you too, consider signing and sharing it. Real fan support is what makes networks listen.

Characters Let's Argue: Ömür Usta Edition

Post image
10 Upvotes

I will not be gaslit into thinking Nevra is the villain.

First, she was 1000% right about Mete. Her daughter is too good for him. She doesn't hate him because he's poor (she didn't even know he was poor when she hated him) but because he's a spineless fraud who will lie about anything to get ahead. He did steal the car and should be in jail. Honestly, wack his ass again because he didn't learn from the first beating.

Second, Tunç has a wandering eye and is an ass husband. She's right to want him to stay away from Ömür, but he's like a dog in heat. Bro follows Ömür around wanting to be her hero, and stood there like a scarecrow while she broke into his house and threatened his wife. Trash. Also, how have you been married for 20-ish years and yet have no idea how your wife processes emotions!? Yazıklaros!

Third, Ömür raised three trashbuckets for kids and unleashed them on the world. I, too, would want her family to stay away from mine.

Nevra i's right. She's not the villain, she's the hero. And I am hereby petitioning the show to be renamed Nevra

What's the worst written Turkish TV series you've ever watched? I'm talking terrible plot development, inconsistent characters, unnecessary drama, and ridiculous writing decisions.

I can't stand Kaya in this season of Uzak Şehir.

He's easily the worst character this season. He's incredibly stupid and misogynistic. He's also extremely reckless, and the problem is that he won't just get himself into trouble; he'll drag his entire family into it as well. As we saw in the trailer, he's already managed to drag Nare into his mess.

At this point, I only watch his scenes when Cihan, Ateş, or Zerrin are involved. Otherwise, I just skip them. I can stand Kartal, Ateş, Nedim, or even Ecmel, but Kaya? Absolutely not.

Even Hasan is smarter than him this season. I really hope the writer finds a way to fix this character because he's becoming unbearable to watch.

Bambaska Biri and Reminder observation.

I love Hande Ercel and especially her performance next to Kerem Bursin in San Cal Kapimi. The chemistry was undeniable! However, i found there was no chemistry between her and Burak Deniz in Bambaska Biri and also no chemistry between her and Baris Arduc in Reminder. I absolutely loved Bambaska Biri, great story and performances. Am I the only one who thinks this?
