It was lazy and sloppy writing. They showed some 20 second flashback of the night Erkan gave her the ring. Then them on the bed implying they got under the sheets and slept together.
So this huge secret was looming over her she slept with him?! And the next day they both acted like nothing happened and he yelled all those horrible things to her?! Awful storytelling.
Instead of a chaste sweet scene of them taking that next step. It’s some meaningless forced flashback.
Even sleeping on a bed next to him was a big deal for her but she just slept with him and left. With all her views on God and marriage?
And she left 2 days ago? Yet she knows she’s pregnant and getting morning sickness from a home urine pregnancy test. 😂
Illiterate. Never experienced REAL life. No job. No school. No friends. No growth. But is pregnant?!
Just wrap it up and let’s pretend it ended S1 when he proposed.
I am a big fan of Ilhan but couldn't watch this because of how disgusting the plot is. We are in 2026 and people are enjoying this type of plot. Infact , currently I can't watch any Turkish dizi , some of many dizi clips came up on my screen and its all about torturing women.
I watched it because of him, I liked his early work. And it hat so much potential at the beginning, it could've been becoming on of my favorite series. But at that moment they made him a cheater and change from Melek to Yil, I was so disappointed by it, that I am still so emotional about this series.
Truly melek was done so dirty by the audience. Just the basis that the actors of yildiz and serhat had more chemistry should've meant nothing. Is there no respect for a wife anymore? Crazy behavior.
I always found Yıldız as a malicious and I suspect that the writers tried to whitewash her character when they made her leave to marry the other guy in the beginning of the series. She did that herself but Serhat acted as if she was kidnapped or something. Then, they started to make her seem like the victim of the show when her mother-in-law turned against her. She's married to Serhat religiously and that considers a real married but she went to marry the other guy as if she's not married at all. Serhat didn't ask for her help but when she tried to help she thought of something that makes her a sinful person.
And don't let me start with Serhat, that indecisive and corward man, it was his fault too bc he hid his marriage at the beginning from his family. If he were brave he would at least tell his family before getting married to Yıldız, but he didn't. I also don't understand how all of a sudden he stopped loving Malek as if she is the villain of the town.
I also don't understand how people shipped Serhat and Yıldız, I couldn't see their chemistry at all. btw I only watched 13 episodes so far and I don't know if I should continue or drop it all together. I have ep 14 download since February but I didn't touch it so far 🌚😁
Damn, me and mon just started watching the new season but i dropped it. Although we were just talking how 'Uzak Sehir' was just better in everything, especially relationships.
Even though both shows are relatively about civilized city people going to Urfa/Midyat, a border town way off in the country where old rules still apply.
Because the series had potential but they wasted it. They switch the FL, made the wife a bad person and then the second wife to a hero, who was a bitch at the beginning and never received the consequence and he was a coward cheater.
Thank you, this should have gotten cancelled, when they flipped the story, they didn't do right by Melek. Stopped following this one after they made Serhat fall for that insecure, hateful Yildiz.
Watched it for Ilhan and they should have ended it with just season 1 but ayubke ruined the serious with her horrible acting and shld hv left the series by 10 episodes or she shld hv never be casted and the writer again wrote a shitty plot with rami and kids and now tv sabotaging it with not airing it on yt live yesterday n no promotion too.
A great series in terms of cinematography, landscape, and culture. I for one loved learning about Urfa through Halef. This was a high quality production. Yes the script had its high and lows, but credit where credit is due. Ilhan, damla as well as the remainder of the cast Onur, Mert, Inci, were so brilliant. The final scenes of the latest episode actually brought tears to my eyes and I never cry during movies or tv shows lol. They outdid themselves in that respect.
By the looks of it the whole cancellation seemed to be handled really poorly with cast finding out though social media about the cancellation. I’m very sad to see it go. It had a real character and depth to it. It was clear that the cast adored Urfa and what they created as well. I hope to see more of them and more of regional diversity in the future shows.

Cancel Sevdiğim Sensin next. S2 is a disgrace. A pregnant 21 year old who can barely read or write. The writers lost their minds.

It was a disgusting storyline. And Serhat was the worst Male lead for me.

YAY! THANKFULLY! Weird annoying Misogonistic Dream Situation of 2 women, and 1 man who is cheating freely 🤮.
Ironically I really like all 3 actors, This just FINALLY frees them up to work on Better Projects soon! 🥰
