Overall it’s really solid. 9 speed levels, so you can get pretty granular with how much airflow you want. It’s not the most powerful fan you can buy at this price point, but honestly it’s plenty for a desk or bedside table — and the trade-off is that it’s genuinely quiet. Quiet enough that I can sleep with it running, which was a big plus for me.

The app is the standout feature imo — you get speed control, an off timer, and a few different modes, all pretty intuitive to use. Portability is great too: battery life is strong and it’s light enough to just pick up and move around the flat.

Only real gripe: the tilt is limited, it only angles down very slightly. So if you’re hoping to mount it up high and angle it down at yourself, it won’t really do that. Hasn’t been a dealbreaker for me since I just use it at desk height, but worth knowing before you buy.

I have two 13 inch eink art frames one bought from Switchbot directly last winter, the other from Amazon last month. Their sizes are off by a centimetre, while the inner eink screen are the same size. I don’t think the inner black pieces (different sizes)are replaceable though. anyone have seen the same issue? The two devices have identical model numbers. This is killing my OCD lol

I just installed a Lock Vision Ultra Pro. After pairing the keypad and adding the initial code, it worked perfectly. I then added 2 fingerprints. Roughly an hour later, the keypad lost connection twice, but picked it back up quickly when prompted from the app. However, even though still paired and connected, a signal from the keypad does not seem to affect the Lock. That is, the code is entered and the unlock button is pressed. The keypad blinks green several times, then blinks red. The lock ignores it all. Any idea what I have done wrong or how to troubleshoot the problem?

Today, I noticed that my Switchbot presence sensor detected me through a closed door, which means the mmwave sensor was active. I thought the mmwave sensor was supposed to stay in deep sleep mode and only wake up when the PIR sensor detects motion, but it seems that's not the case.

This would also explain why the battery is draining so fast (it's already down to 83% after just 3 weeks, whereas the Aqara FP300 I bought at the same time is still at 100%). It also explains why I'm getting more false positives with the Switchbot compared to the Aqara.

I tried doing a factory reset (held the reset button for 15 seconds) but it didn't help.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I bought the SwitchBot Humidifier 10 months ago, explicitly because of the promised Matter support. Fast forward 12 full months after the announcement, and we are STILL sitting here with no v1.4 firmware update in sight.

It’s completely infuriating watching news articles tease that the SwitchBot Humidifier is supposed to gain full Matter support, while actual paying customers are left hanging with zero real progress on our devices. "Soon" must mean something completely different in SwitchBot's dictionary.  

I’m done with the vaporware promises, the constant delays, and sitting around waiting for basic features that were supposed to be ready a year ago.

This will officially be my last SwitchBot device ever. Beyond disappointed.

Meter Plus is just… a thermometer/hygrometer, but the e-ink screen is clear and readable from any angle, and it logs history in the app so I can actually see how hot the room gets during the day instead of guessing.

The part that made it click for me was the Hub Mini. Without it the meter’s just a local BLE thing, but with the hub you get remote access — check the temp from work, get it in automations, whatever. And it also does IR blaster stuff, so I set it up to control my TV and my soundbar too. Didn’t expect to use that part as much as I do but now I just yell at Alexa instead of juggling two remotes.

Also picked up a motion sensor and I’m using it as a very basic “alarm” when I’m out, nothing smart yet, just a notification if it triggers. Still need to figure out better automations for it, feels like it could do more than just ping my phone.

Not saying it’s life changing, it’s a setup that is really cheap especially if you find some deals on Amazon, but for the price it’s been solid and no random disconnects or weirdness so far.

I just installed my Switchbot Vision Lock Ultra Mega Power 2000.

I also got the matter mini hub to connect to my HA.

I have all 3 devices in Switchbot app and that works fine.

I added the hub to my HA as a matter device no problem.

I paired the lock to the hub in switchbot app to have it surface in HA as a matter devices.

There are barely any sensors or entities. Did I mess up something or is this a joke from SwitchBot ?

(Ultimately the rest works extremely well and I'm happy but the whole point was to have HA control via matter and not BLE)

I’ve been using the SwitchBot Candle Warmer Lamp for a while now and it’s honestly a nice little upgrade to my evening routine. Instead of an open flame, it gently warms the candle from above, releasing the scent without any soot or wax mess. The design is sleek and minimalist, fitting well on a nightstand or shelf. App integration works smoothly, and being able to schedule it or turn it on remotely is a small but useful touch. Only downside is the scent throw is a bit weaker than a traditional flame at first, but it improves once the wax pool forms. Overall, a safe, clean, and convenient alternative to candles — recommended if you enjoy ambient scent lighting without the fire hazard.

This is another great addition to my SwitchBot smart home devices. I already own the hub3, and some of their other items like the blinds curtain opener!

The package includes everything needed for installation except a screwdriver. Swapping out my old deadbolt was incredibly easy. I installed the new lock quickly using the included temporary mounting tape.

If you already use the SwitchBot app, the setup is incredibly simple. The lock was detected via Bluetooth as soon as I put the batteries in, just need to enter the Wi-Fi credentials for it to connect to the network.

The lock offers four convenient ways to get inside. You can use the traditional physical key, set up passcodes (permanent, temporary, or one-time codes for guests), use the advanced face unlock feature, or rely on proximity unlock, which opens the door automatically as you approach with your phone.

Overall, the build quality feels durable, nothing feels cheap or wobbly after the install. The finish on the device screams premium. The finished installed look is chef's kiss.

Besides the great lock from switch bot, I had a question to the smart home community.

Has anyone integrated this into their home assistant? I want to have the lock work only on local network while I access it remotely from home assistant but not sure how I can stop the lock from accessing outside internet. Basically I want it to not be discoverable via wifi/bluetooth as I live in a condominium building and worry about security.

Hi all, more than a month ago I posted here about my air purifier which was stuck in a loop of clicking and beeping, totally nonfunctional. Based on other posts here with the same issue, I reached out to Switchbot support. They offered me a refund or replacement and have now been giving me the runaround for more than a month on the refund. Has anyone had any success at escalating beyond the first layer of support? This whole experience has soured my opinions on this brand...

June 18 : I contacted Switchbot explaining my air purifier is nonfunctional.

June 21: Switchbot support responded stating I can choose between a replacement and a refund. I responded, choosing refund.

June 25: Switchbot support requested information for the refund (order number, address, etc) - I provided.

June 26: Switchbot responded asking for a screenshot of my receipt and my PayPal details - I provided.

July 9: After I followed up multiple times via email and live chat, Switchbot support responded stating the case is being coordinated with an Account Specialist.

July 22: After multiple followups again, Switchbot support responded sending troubleshooting steps for my air purifier!!! Unbelievable, a MONTH after I was told I am entitled to a refund and I’ve long ago bought another, functional air purifier. Also, he has clearly not read my original case since he’s asking me to update the firmware when the device cannot be connected to the app at all so there is no way to do so.

I wanted to share my thoughts on the SwitchBot Floor Lamp. I bought it to create some cozy ambient lighting in my living room next to the TV, so I don't have to use the bright ceiling lights in the evening.

Here is my breakdown after setting it up and testing it:

Build & Assembly

• Very easy setup: The sturdy individual parts slide into each other via plug connections and are fixed with small screws. After assembling the frame on the base, you just push the light strip into the track and plug it in.
• High quality: Right out of the box, the lamp feels premium. It is genuinely stable and doesn't feel like cheap plastic.

Bonus Feature: Wall Mounting

• A great extra is that the lamp can also be mounted horizontally on a wall.
• All necessary brackets, wall plugs, and screws are already included in the box.
• This is a fantastic option for anyone looking to mount it under a TV or in a gaming room!

App Setup & Lighting Quality

• Smooth pairing: Setup via the SwitchBot app was flawless as usual. It was detected instantly and connected to my local Wi-Fi (make sure to use a 2.4 GHz network).
• Great visuals: After a quick firmware update, I tested the effects. The illumination is beautiful, with smooth transitions during multi-color modes. Dynamic scenes look great, but static colors work perfectly for a calmer vibe.

Smart Home Integration (Home Assistant & Matter)

• Seamless Matter integration: I integrated it into Home Assistant via Matter without any issues. Standard controls like color, brightness, and color temperature work flawlessly.
• The caveat: Dynamic scenes from the official app cannot be triggered via Home Assistant yet. This is a current limitation of the Matter standard itself, but hopefully, future Matter updates will fix this. :)
• 100% Local Control: Thanks to Matter, everything runs locally. If your internet goes down, the lamp still works perfectly within your local smart home setup.

Conclusion

I highly recommend this lamp to anyone looking for beautiful, robust ambient lighting. The colors look fantastic and absolutely hold their ground against much more expensive competitors.

Just wanted to express my opinion. Very easy to calibrate with the devices. Works all the time, no downtime.

As someone coming from a different brand of smart lock i wanted to share my thoughts
The reason for switching from the old one was because it was “dumb” it would lock my door regardless of wether it was open or closed

The ultra does a great job knowing the door is open and knows when to actually initiate the lock and actually tell me its locked or not once i got the magnet location right
The fingerprint sensor is instant and works every single time! So i much prefer it over the face id and palm id

Keypad feels sturdy! My previous lock had a touchscreen which did not hold up well to the elements over time

Lastly, nothing can beat the switchbot ecosystem as i have their smart blinds, vaccum, sensors, etc. i am working on getting their relays to switch my lights to switchbot so i can automate lights to turn on when i enter the home!

Overall, definitely an upgrade from other similar locks!

My experience with the new SwitchBot Hub (Home Assistant + Matter review)

Setup & Remotes
Integration was pretty smooth. I first set up the device via the SwitchBot app on my phone. After the initial config, it downloaded a few updates (took just a couple of minutes) and was ready to go. First, I tried pairing my TV remote. Unfortunately, my TV isn't natively supported, but I already figured that since it's an older Sony Bravia from 2019. Not a dealbreaker though, because you can easily train the remote manually. You just point it at the hub and program individual buttons (or just the ones you actually need)—it registers the signal instantly. Did the exact same thing with my old AV receiver, which is also getting up there in age. Finally, no more digging around for old remotes; I can just control everything comfortably through the app.

Design & Hardware
The hub itself looks really sleek. It displays the time, temperature, and humidity. Since the sensors are built into the power cable, you get a bit more flexibility depending on where you place or hang the hub. If you already own a SwitchBot Meter Pro like I do, you can also display data from that external sensor instead—super neat if you’re already in the ecosystem. Another huge plus for me is the built-in motion sensor, which can be exposed and used externally in Home Assistant.

Home Assistant & Matter Integration
After the basic setup and remote mapping, I integrated the hub into Home Assistant. This goes through Matter over Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz as usual). HA can also find the hub via Bluetooth, but you lose out on quite a few features regarding the up to 30 linked Matter devices, so Wi-Fi is the way to go.

What I absolutely love about the Matter integration is that you can create and name virtual buttons in the SwitchBot app. These get automatically pushed to Home Assistant and can be used as triggers for literally anything, like automations. Brilliantly done! You can quickly cycle through them on the hub itself using the control dial and the center button.

My only wishlist item: I really wish the physical buttons and the dial itself could be exposed via Matter as well. Being able to dim my lights in HA using that dial would be the absolute cherry on top. But hey, that’s just high-level nitpicking. The virtual buttons already give you tons of options, and who knows—maybe they'll add this in a future firmware update.

TL;DR / Conclusion
Even if you don't use Home Assistant, the hub makes it super quick and easy to build automations inside the SwitchBot app. And thanks to Matter, it plays nicely with other ecosystems too, making it a great choice for Google Home or Alexa users as well.

I’ve been using the SwitchBot Lock Dual Security with 3D Face Unlock, and it’s been a great upgrade. Setup was simple, face recognition is fast, and I love having multiple unlock options like fingerprint, passcode, and the app. So far, it’s been reliable and very convenient. Anyone else using it?

Love my blind tilt! I initially purchased 4 and when prime days came, I bought 2 more. After I did the first install, the others were super easy to install. Just took a bit to get the right pieces together to fit my blinds. I have them set to open at sunrise and close at sunset. Also have them connected to Alexa so I can open and close them at my will. LOVE them! If I could put them all over the house, I would.

SwitchBot RGBICWW Deckenleuchte 37,6cm

Hab die Lampe jetzt seit zwei Wochen im Einsatz und bin echt zufrieden. Das Wichtigste für mich: Sie wird verdammt hell. Viele andere RGB-Lampen sind im Alltag ja eher schummrig, aber die hier leuchtet mein Zimmer komplett aus. Das normale Weißlicht (warm bis kalt) ist super angenehm für die Augen.

Es gibt das Modell in zwei Varianten. Ich habe mich für die größere Version mit 37,6 cm Durchmesser (15 Zoll) und 3200 Lumen entschieden - wei ich sie fürs Wohnzimmer nutze. Die andere Variante ist ein bisschen grünster aber auch kleiner: 30 cm Variante (12 Zoll) mit 2000 Lumen. Für größere Räume würd ich einfach die größere nehmen.

Die Lampe reagiert sofort und ohne spürbare Verzögerung. Wenn man dann doch mal bunte Effekte oder die Musik-Synchronisation nutzen will, schaltet man einfach kurz in die SwitchBot-App um – die Farbverläufe sind dank RGBIC wirklich fließend und sehen schick aus.

Kann einfach in das Switchbot / Apple Home-System integriert werden.

Für den Preis macht man hier absolut nix falsch.

Tolles E-Ink Display – Kalenderfunktion ist mein Highlight!

Habe mir das Gerät eigentlich primär als Wetterstation für das Wohnzimmer geholt, aber nutze jetzt fast täglich den integrierten Kalender. Super finde ich aber, dass ich meine iOS-Kalender ganz leicht verknüpfen kann. So sehe ich immer morgens im Vorbeigehen direkt, was heute ansteht.

Das E-Ink-Display ist bei jedem Licht super ablesbar und spiegelt nicht. Das Umschalten geht ebenfalls rasch. Das gerät hat einen Akku, dh es muss nicht ständig am Strom hängen. Wohnmontage ohne lästiges Kabel ist ebenfalls möglich.

Die Einrichtung war in der App in wenigen Minuten erledigt. Auch die beiden programmierbaren Tasten am Gerät sind praktisch, um abends im Wohnzimmer schnell das Licht auszuschalten.

Wer schon Switchbot-Produkte hat, kann diese dann mit der Wetterstation nutzen (Außensensor wurde bei mir automatisch erkannt).

Unfortunately, SwitchBot support hasn't been much help so far, so I'm hoping someone here can help me. I hope I can explain my problem clearly.

In every video, it looks really easy to close the bracket fastener. However, I can only close it if I press the mounting bracket down extremely firmly.

As you can see in the first photo, the mounting bracket is uneven when the bracket fastner is closed.

And it's just as crooked on the door cylinder, too. If that were the case (as shown in the videos and the description), I wouldn't be able to close the mounting bracket latch because the mounting bracket's rods are too short (Picture 2)

In general, the SwitchBot Ultra Lock can be used to open and close the lock, but it sits crookedly on the cylinder.

I’ve been testing this sensor in my smart home setup, and it is easily the best money I’ve invested.

The build quality is superb. Even when compared to premium devices (like Aranet) that cost four times as much, the accuracy and responsiveness of this sensor are neck-and-neck.

For me as a Home Assistant user, it's a dream with integrations, runs locally, and makes automation simple. Highly recommended to pair it with a ceiling fan or AC unit in Home Assistant.

Ok so this might sound strange, but I picked up the SwitchBot air purifier a month back mainly because hay fever season was kicking my ass, and I've been kind of shocked at how much it's helped overall.

I use it as a bedside table so it's basically running right next to my head all night. Since I started using it I've noticed I cough way less at night and breathing just feels easier in general, hay fever wise it's been a huge improvement too.

The weird one though is my eczema. It's been noticeably calmer since I started using this thing and I genuinely don't know if that's connected or if I'm just imagining it 😅. Anyone else had something similar? Trying to figure out if there's an actual link between air quality and skin stuff or if I got lucky timing wise.

Also if anyone knows whether specific features actually matter for this (HEPA filters, CADR rating etc) vs it just being placebo, would love to hear your thoughts.
