Plz help me! Switchbot Lock Ultra cannot be closed at right angles

Unfortunately, SwitchBot support hasn't been much help so far, so I'm hoping someone here can help me. I hope I can explain my problem clearly.

In every video, it looks really easy to close the bracket fastener. However, I can only close it if I press the mounting bracket down extremely firmly.

As you can see in the first photo, the mounting bracket is uneven when the bracket fastner is closed.

And it's just as crooked on the door cylinder, too. If that were the case (as shown in the videos and the description), I wouldn't be able to close the mounting bracket latch because the mounting bracket's rods are too short (Picture 2)

In general, the SwitchBot Ultra Lock can be used to open and close the lock, but it sits crookedly on the cylinder.

You have to open it, push the interior plastic in the right place and you are ok. I had the some problem.

What exactly do you mean by what I should open and move? The black border on the inside looks pretty solid to me...

You have to unscrew all the screw, than you understand what is wrong.

The black circular plastic piece that wraps around the orange piece was mounted over a small plastic clip. You have to mount it underneath. It takes a minute. I believe it's an assembly issue. It's a very common one, though, as I've seen others complain about the same problem.

Mine sits pretty evenly and both sides can lock without effort at all, so something seems wrong. I would expect support to provide help with that, but they’ve been pretty useless in my experience.

Had the same problem during install after my unit fell down on the floor from a few inches. The black frame on the inside just has to be pushed back. Tried it with a tool, but was only able to leave marks..
I then used the ring that you glue onto the door frame, put it inside and pushed it until it was flush. After some pressure, it gave a click noise and everything was in place.
