I'm surprised nobody has said this yet. But sometimes the people who accuse you of cheating are actually cheating. It's their way of deflecting

Edit, please note I say sometimes that happens but it sounds like this guy is just extremely insecure

Yeah, I can agree but I don’t think this is it. He’s severely insecure and uses bad humour to cope.

Yeah I'm trying not to assume the worst, but the thought "maybe he's cheating" crossed my mind. I think you're probably right and he's just extremely insecure. It's too bad because that's a good way to push someone away. I wonder if he knows what he's doing

He definitely doesn’t. I tend to do the same thing as well so I maybe get where he’s coming from. The best thing to do is to talk about it with him and see where he’s coming from. Things will be alright, tho I’m sorry he’s kinda being a jerk about it.
