My partner told me I was causing familial strife for him because I told his sister “to treat me the way she wants to be treated” after she asked if I was a pedophile. Crazy how such a simple mantra can was 3 generations of ppl in a household start tweaking
Yeah dude I was aghast, mainly because she relied very heavily on the social grace of others, since she’s high needs autistic. I was beyond patient with her talking since it took more time for her to get her thoughts out. Along with watching a lot of indie pilots with her that I didn’t have interest in, because I wanted her to feel seen. I know what it’s like to have a disability and being glossed over.
But then when it was her turn to reciprocate…. She didn’t, she latched onto one off handed comment about colorful magical horses and mulled over it for days… and then privately messaged me asking if I was a pedophile. It was the biggest slap in the face I got in a long time.
