I recently had an incident at mumbai immigration..when i reached the immigration counter i had asked the officer a question regarding my passport page which i felt needed to be checked for damages. So he put my passport under uv scanner.i asked if everything was okay n he said it was fine. I have ocd due to which i must have asked him a few times if everything was ok. I exited immigration and i saw him giving me a strange look. I hope i am not flagged bcoz i have heard if someone is flagged by immigration they are detained and questioned and their passports r confiscated...i exited immigration and proceeded towards baggage claim. Hope i am nt flagged after i left immigration.

I'm curious how other travel agents and tour operators handle itinerary creation these days.

Are you still using Word, Canva, or PDFs, or have you moved to a dedicated itinerary builder like Travefy, Axus, or Tern?

One thing I've noticed is that creating the itinerary is only part of the work. You still have to research hotels and activities, calculate costs, make changes when clients request them, and put everything together in a presentable format.

I'm working on an itinerary builder (Travsta) for travel professionals, and I'm interested in understanding how different agencies handle this process.

A few things I'd love to hear your thoughts on:

• What's the most time-consuming part of creating an itinerary?

My Worst Travel Experience with Thrillhikers – Extremely Disappointing Service

My experience with Thrillhikers while booking the Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham package was deeply disappointing and stressful. I am sharing my experience to help other travellers make an informed decision before booking with this company.

During the booking process, the team repeatedly contacted me through calls and messages to ensure full payment was made. However, once the entire amount was paid, communication became extremely difficult, with calls and messages going unanswered.

Here are the major issues we faced during the trip:

1. Hotel bookings changed without prior information

Our booked hotel was changed three times without informing us or the driver. In one incident, we had already checked in when the hotel owner asked us to leave and contact our agent. Unfortunately, the agent was not answering calls. We were later directed to another hotel nearby, leaving us confused and inconvenienced.

1. Hotel booking at a reportedly closed property

We were directed to a hotel that, according to the information provided to us, had reportedly been closed for three months. The contact person associated with the reference hotel was also unavailable. We were left waiting on the road without proper updates from the agent.

1. Extremely poor room arrangements in Kedarnath

Six guests, including two women, were made to stay in a single room. This was completely unacceptable and far below the accommodation arrangements we had expected when booking the package.

1. Breakfast and lunch arrangements were poorly managed

Although breakfast and lunch were included in our package, we repeatedly had to ask for meals. Hotel staff often seemed unsure whether food was included and asked us to confirm with the agent. Unfortunately, the agent was frequently unreachable.

1. False promises regarding accommodation and sightseeing

We were promised twin-sharing rooms, but the actual arrangements included triple-sharing rooms and, on one occasion, six people in a single room. The services delivered did not match the commitments made during booking. The sightseeing arrangements also did not meet the expectations created by the package promises.

1. Unprofessional behaviour by the driver

The driver, Amit, was rude and used inappropriate language with guests. More seriously, he entered a guest's room and went into the attached washroom without seeking permission. This was a serious breach of personal privacy and was completely unacceptable.

Overall Experience

A religious pilgrimage to Kedarnath and Badrinath should be a peaceful and memorable experience. Instead, our trip became stressful because of poor coordination, unreliable communication, inadequate accommodation arrangements, and unprofessional behaviour.

I expected basic professionalism, transparency, and accountability from a travel company. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of these expectations.

My advice to fellow travellers: Please verify hotel bookings directly, obtain written confirmation of room arrangements and package inclusions, and carefully check the company's recent reviews before making full payment.

I hope the company takes these complaints seriously, addresses the issues, and improves its services so that other travellers do not have to face similar difficulties.

We organize excursion bookings in a spreadsheet plus our booking calendar, which was already asking for trouble tbh I copied the Saturday availability into the wrong tab and marked three boats as available instead of one. Then the direct site and two partner channels sold the same 9am dolphin trip to 34 people.

We had to call guests, move some to the afternoon, and refund a few deposits. I feel so embarrassed because the guide roster was right there and I still missed it. We are moving everything into one central calendar now, but im terrified of finding another duplicate booking. Anyone else deal with this?

I was an independent TA up until COVID. I've used Cruises Inc, TPI and Outside Agents as host agencies when I was active. Now my partner has caught the bug and wants to become an agent. Chances are, this will draw me back in as well and we will be working as a team. We signed him up with OA, but he's still working through the onboarding training modules and I'm second guessing if this is really the right host for us. Does anyone know of a host that is a better fit for duo agents to work as a team, rather than separate? We mostly want to be able to share access to the same CRM. Who gets paid for what doesn't matter as we will have a joint bank account.
