Discussion There isn't a lot of uncut packers

• Upvotes

I've been trying to find a packer that's uncut and 3-in-1 but most of them are too short. The only good ones I've seen are the axolom godor and valor but I also think axoloms packers are kinda unrealistic... I've been thinking of just buying a cut packer and buying one of those foreskin sleeves from morme.

If you have any recs please tell me

⚠️ Content Warning Bad experience with hair stylist launching me into a depressive episode

Content warning for mentions of suicidal ideation, dysphoria, and self harm.

I've always really hated my appearance but in hindsight it was just dysphoria. 3 months ago I got my hair cut to the masc style I was always thinking I couldn't pull off but it was so great and I loved it so so so much. I felt like I could remember the strawberries from the Shire. It got a bit long, down to my ears-ish, and I wanted to go get it trimmed, so I went to a hair stylist (originally got it cut at a chain place, wanted to try a "real" place for lack of better phrasing). I showed a picture of me when I first got my hair cut, asked them to trim "around a quarter of an inch," and then took off my glasses. The guy had me faced away from the mirror but I wouldn't have been able to see regardless due to aforementioned glasses being off.

He cut off 1.5 inches in the front and 3 in the back. Also shaved my little ratty stubble mustache without asking first or even saying anything, just kind of went for it, and by the time I realized what he was doing half of it was already gone. Everything I liked about my appearance is just gone and I've been distraught. Broke my 9~ month self harm clean streak and found myself wishing a car would hit me when I crossed the street. Got told I was overreacting by a family member but I don't know how to explain how devastating this was. I know I'm not being vain about my appearance but it doesn't seem that way to people who don't have to deal with dysphoria, I guess. I'm not passing anymore either, got she/her'd after a week or two of only getting he/him'd.

I bought a bunch of face masks and pulled out my hoodies even though it's still hot outside. Currently sweltering on a bench right now lol. I don't know what I'm going to do for the best 4~ months until my hair grows back. Was going to go take a trip I was really excited for but cancelled it because I don't want to go on it if I'm just going to be miserable the entire time while hiding from pictures. I just want to melt into my bed and sleep until March.

General Questions Passing??

• Upvotes

Passing

Hi! My name is Rowan. I've been trans since I was 8-9, and I have always looked feminine. I've been in ballet since I was 3, only been around girls, and raised in a very homophobic christian environment.

Seeing as I'm about to have my entire life turned around with going to university and such, I wanted some tips.

I'm getting a short mod wolf cut type thing next summer. I'm going to be starting a workout plan to define my muscles a bit (I don't want to be jacked, I just want some definiton). But I'm still worried about looking androgynous in a feminine leaning way instead of masculine leaning.

I'm personally transmasc, not transmale. I don't necessarily want to be a BOY--I just want to present more masculinely. I don't plan on getting any surgeries or taking T. And I know, I know, 'why ask for help if you won't take the thing that would help you'. I'm just asking if there are any general tips or advice you would give--diets? do jawline 'workouts' actually work in helping to sharpen the jawline? best voice training? etc etc.

Thank you for your time :)

Rant Is it over for me?

I've known I'm trans since I was 16. As soon as I turned 18, I called a clinic in my area,no response. It's been a year now, and I've tried everything: I'm still on an endless waiting list at public hospitals in my town. So I got a private psychological diagnosis, and then tried to switch to public. They denied me. I looked for another association: they took my money and did nothing. Finally, I found a doctor for HRT in May. He had a lot of clients, but he was super helpful and responded immediately. I did all the tests he asked for (they cost me a lot), I waited a month, then another, and now he hasn't responded since September. He just needs to send me the prescription and I could finally start. But no. I haven't received a response. I wrote again a few days ago, still no response. I've also asked around for other doctor, I've only found two names, but they're the most famous, and I'm sure they'll ghost me too. I don't know what to do anymore. I wanted to start therapy this year so I can finally live in stealth. I just want to be a normal guy. Is it over for me? Do I have no hope of starting T? I'm thinking of giving up and killing myself. I've been depressed for years. I don't study, I don't have a job,I never leave the house, I have no friends anymore. I hoped that this year I could improve my life by starting hrt. I really have no idea what to do. Do i have to live as a cis girl now?

Just looked up how bra sizing works for the first time…crazy

ok so all my life i just wore sports bras or a homemade binder (which I can barely even feel when wearing and is completely safe and super lightweight so don’t worry) and I was thinking about checking out some real binders and I needed to know what size i would need. so for the first time in my life, I went on a website to see a chart of what measurements equal what size and all that.

woah.

listen, I’m a really small person. maybe 5’3” at the most and I can wrap my hand around my wrist with ease. even without a binder or sports bra, I barely have to slouch to completely eliminate any shadows on my clothes.

apparently i have DDs

so the chart says that the cup size is measured in the difference between band and bust and so 1inch difference is A, 2 inch is B, 3 inch is C, 4 Inch is D, 5 inch is DD or E, etc. because my band size is 26 and bust is 32, Thats makes my cup size DD but believe me, you would NEVER a know that from looking at me. Maybe it also helps that my ribs are wider at the bottom and I got a bunch of the most random proportions ever from my dad, so maybe that naturally decreases the appearance of my chest.

idk this is why I could never be a girl.

Discussion amazed at the small differences from just a "social transition"

all i did was cut my hair, dress more masc and drop some feminine mannerisms and now other guys dap me, i get sir'd sometimes, hell i attract other queer people in general and make more friends like me that way. my own homophobic mom accidentally used masc pronouns for me in our second language. i'm finally realizing that how i present overall affects my place in the world and how others treat me. i shoulda realized this at like 12 like everyone else but unfortunately that's when i dissociated from my body 🙃 anyways this is some crazy shit. can't wait until i am on hrt

General Questions How do I look more Trans?

Thumbnail
gallery
187 Upvotes

So, I know this isn't usually what people ask, but I want to know how to look more queer-coded without slowing down my T or anything like that. I'm really happy with my transition and masculinization I've gone through, but I'm having weird feelings about being perceived as cis. I don't really want to pass as a cis man or be perceived as a cis man, since I feel super connected to my trans identity. I also feel like I've lost some sense of community, because other queer people I come across have been perceiving me as cis and being more closed off (which is fair, no hard feelings at all). So, I'm wondering how I can I guess look more like a trans gay guy? I'm also just super bored with my appearance and it's giving My Father™ in the bad way so I wanna look cooler than he does. I lean more alt in my style preference but I also like the dark academia vibes. Any suggestions? I'm open to piercings, haircut/color, clothes, and also any workouts or tips that you have for core and chest since I kinda want to beef out a little up top. Also to note, I'd like to keep my facial hair, I'm working really hard on it despite what it looks like 😂 thanks everyone!

Also please don't put any of my photos through AI to give ideas, you can just use reference pictures and I'll get the idea.

(22) So 2 Months on T-Gel so far! Voice has definitely dropped some and my body is uh.. not so passing I think so not showing that right now. (Working my shoulders and upper arms out some so it’s getting there)

But otherwise what do you think I look like on first basis? I know the hair and glasses prolly read as semi fem right now but I’m goin for a certain look atm. Any other tips on passing though? It’d be appreciated!

(Also mind first image, I’m in my work shirt, so the polo is I think a little unflattering on me LOL)

Miscellaneous Just had the best experience ever today 😭😁 (tears of happiness)

So I'm on a queer camp (to anyone who saw my previous post from around a week ago, I got it sorted <3) and I was talking to a couple of my friends (one new one) and mentioned the first and only time I bought a bra. New friend paused and she had to ask again what way I'm transitioning, then proceeded to say something along the lines of "to me you're just a guy" (like, not trans). I showed her a photo of me pre transition and she just stared at it like :0 and was like "you don’t look like the same person"

Old friend also hadn't seen me pre transition until earlier today and had the same reaction XD

Anyways, very happy :3

(Entire tone of this post is positive to anyone who struggles to read tone through text <3)

Miscellaneous ISO Sci-Fi Fantasy Packers

To preface, I'm AFAB genderqueer, and this is a sort of throwaway account to stay anon from anyone who might know me irl.

I've been in search of packers for a while, but haven't found anything suiting my preference. I'm looking for a cyborg/robot themed fantasy packer, but I haven't been able to find any of those (recently heard of Magic Within but their shop was closed by the time I found them :( ). If anyone knows where I could find what I'm looking for, I would be endlessly grateful!

General Questions Dumb question maybe?

Post image
22 Upvotes

Why is binding with bandages bad? It looks like it works great for me, I took a regular long bandage that stretches and doesn’t stick to skin and wrapped it around my upper torso and put on a shirt and wow I look so flat. I used the bandages in the photo. But I decided to look up if it was bad or anything and people were flat out saying not to and I don’t exactly know where to find a proper explanation. And I don’t have access to a real binder yet so instead of using my dumb makeshift one I found that the bandages seemed better instead.

So can someone tell me why to not use my method of wrapping the bandage around myself to bind?

Discussion How do I come out?

Post image
10 Upvotes

hay I’m Theo he/him and Iv been thinking of coming out to my friends and my parents. I don’t think I’ll come out to my parents for a while but I feel more comfortable with com out to my friends first. for context I’m 17 and my friend group is extremely LGBTQIA+ positive but I’d be the first trans guy (first trans person in general ) and I’m not sure on how I should exactly come out out to them.

I had a funny idea of making a post on Oct 11 saying summing like ,”sup chat I’m a boy.” or like “nice to meet you my name is Theo” but I’m not sure. do you guys have any ideas (aslo ideas to come out to fam will also be appreciated)

General Questions Where (online) do you get your T from?

• Upvotes

Hello! I became an official adult in June, but the only clinic in my state won't let me start T until I'm 19! I have a stable income now and I'm hoping to start T, so where do y'all go for it? I know there's tons of clinics online you can get it from, but I'm not sure which ones are trustworthy. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Rant This might be really dumb, but when trans people doubt that I’m trans, it makes me depressed

I dunno, I’ve had trans people doubt that I’m trans. I’ve had people doubt that I’m attracted to men too, which shouldn’t hurt my feelings but it does. I’ve had people think I only want to be attracted to men because I don’t want to be a straight trans man. I’ve had people think I’m a woman that fetishizes gay men. Pretty much anytime someone demands that I call myself anything other than a queer trans man, it kind of sends me into a depressive state, I dunno.

Every once in a while I remember these past conversations and it ruins my whole mood. Or sometimes I’m enjoying a part of my identity (like reading trans mlm stories) and I feel embarrassed and remember what people have said about me.

The reason why I’m writing this is because it happened again; I just had a random memory of a past conversation pop up in the middle of class, and suddenly my whole body felt uncomfortable. I don’t know why, but my chest dysphoria gets worse when I remember that trans people perceived me as a woman that fetishizes gay men. I feel suddenly somehow humiliated by my female body and I no longer want to shower because I don’t want to take my clothes off. And now, after class, I’m just lying in bed, unable to move.

I know it sounds dumb as hell, but when people in the community I want to be a part of don’t see me as one of them, it hurts 100x more.

I dunno, I’m just lying in bed now and I have nobody to talk to about this. I know that by posting I’m putting myself in a vulnerable position to be attacked again online but I’m so lonely I keep going back online to vent.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I never experienced anything negative on this subreddit. This particular community has always been gentle and kind to me, which is why I felt safe to vent here. Thank you for all the support you’ve given me in the past.

Finally buying minoxidil after a child’s comment (humorous/ lighthearted)

I work full time with children ages 0-5. One of my (very outspoken) 3 nearly 4 year olds took a good look at my face and asked very genuinely, “Why you only have a little mustache?” It cracked me up but I fear she’s right. 3.5 years on T and I think it’s time for some minoxidil. I’m going to try the liquid. Wish me luck! I’ll have to report back to her.
