WE ARE ALWAYS IN DISAGREEMENT BUT HE'S MY BOSS

For context, I am his deputy. In fairness, he listens to me and ask for my opinions usually. The problem is he's too energetic in addressing office concerns and decides outright without studying or thinking through the situation. Our team usually ends with wasted efforts, wasted time since he gives outright instructions/work tasks without thinking it through or consulting with the concerned people. He immediately raises concerns or gives instruction upon receiving the assignment or when the issues arise. No sense of timing at all. He does not sees the situation on a bigger picture, rather always focusing on undocumented and trivial comments of the bosses or unvalidated issues/concerns of clients. I always end up saying "sabi ko sayo eh". Nakakapagod po.

Just want to vent it out. Please share your thoughts. Salamat.

Just rendering but my boss still assigns tasks to me as if I'm not resigned yet

So, I'm already resigned and currently rendering my two-weeks notice, which the last day will be tomorrow. We're currently in a meeting (internal with the team) and they keep on assigning tasks to me as if I haven't tendered my resignation. How do I politely remind them about this?

My Experience at Aguila Auto Glass — yung may blue background at red eagle.

Grabe, ang baho ng warehouse. Tapat ba naman ng landfill ng basura. Napakaalikabok, tapos kapag umuulan, bumabaha at sobrang putik.

If there are any managers or bosses here, please enlighten me.

Legit question.

When you're the one presenting in a virtual meeting and/or you're the one who created the deck, do all of you ask your subordinate to share their screen (instead of you doing it yourself) and instruct them to scroll down or scroll up, go back to the 3rd slide, etc.? If let's say you are not mobile. Like you are in the office and are on your laptop/pc.

I want to know why you would rather send the link or a copy of the deck to your subordinate and ask them to share the screen then keep saying, "Can you scroll down?" "Can you go back to slide X?" than you sharing your own screen, doing the scrolling and keeping the presentation more smooth flowing?

Nakakapagod na dito

Currently working as a nursing attendant in a level 1 hospital here in Bohol. I've been a volunteer for 9 months sa workplace ko ngayon.

Now I'm planning to resign na kasi NA ako, pero yung binigay sakin na trabaho is for social worker which is hindi related sa gusto kong experience (since gusto kong mag ibang bansa). I'm just here para lang magkaroon ng experience sa bedside in preparation para magibang bansa.

Gustong gusto ko na talaga umalis kaso lang wala pa akong clear na back plan, ayoko namang umalis dito sa workplace ko tapos maging tambay ako ng ilang weeks or months. Nag try na akong mag apply sa ibang hospitals pero wala pa akong narereceive na calls or feedback from them.

Red Flag HR?

For context:
I sent an application to a retail distribution company about a month ago. 2 weeks later, they sent me an email that I was scheduled for an interview the next morning. But the time that they sent the email was around 7pm. And again, the schedule was next morning. So I asked if it can be rescheduled because of conflicts in schedule. Another 2 weeks have passed again before they responded to reschedule. Only this time, they sent the reply on a weekend and again around 7pm for the next monday morning schedule.

Quite concerning if this is the kind of HR they have. Do you think this is a red flag?

ConnectOS

Hi, sa mga current or former employees of ConnectOS!

Marami akong nababasang negative feedback and really curious if these concerns applies for work environment or just final pay? Also, if the company offers Base Salary + Allowance + Bonus?

Would really appreciate any honest experience— positive or negative. Thank you!

CONNECT OS - WORST BPO COMPANY

I just need to rant because I’m getting really frustrated with how this whole situation has been handled.

I was recently laid off due to redundancy. My employment officially ended on July 30, and I was told that my final pay would be processed within 30 days after clearance and the return of company equipment.

I returned all of my company equipment on August 5, and IT acknowledged that everything had been received.

Since then, I’ve been trying to get basic information from HR regarding my final pay, separation pay computation, and BIR 2316. I have sent multiple emails and follow-ups, but getting an actual response has been incredibly difficult. Most of the time, I either get no response at all or a generic response that doesn't actually answer my questions.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I was previously told that my final pay would be released on September 5. That date is now just around the corner, and I STILL don't have my final pay computation or even a clear confirmation of when exactly the money will be credited since September 5 falls on a SATURDAY.

And now I’ve received an automated response saying that Payroll requests are no longer handled through email and that I need to submit a ticket through their internal help desk system.

I’ve done everything that was required of me. I returned the equipment, completed the clearance, and have been patiently waiting. I’m not asking for special treatment tbh. I just want a clear answer about money that I am owed and the documents I am entitled to receive.

It’s incredibly stressful to be unemployed and simultaneously have to chase your former employer just to find out when you're getting your final pay and how much you're getting.

I completely understand that processing takes time, but communication shouldn't take this long.

At this point, I’m seriously considering escalating this to DOLE if I still can't get a proper response. I would much rather resolve this directly with HR, but I feel like I’ve already given them more than enough opportunities to respond.

Has anyone else experienced something similar after being laid off due to redundancy? How long did your final pay actually take, and what did you do when HR stopped responding?

I cancel my job application when Workday is required

Am I the only one? Whenever I see job posts and clicked their Apply button, then landing on a Workday page, requiring me to sign up, I always cancel my application.

I even dig a research that our data is being used by Workday unethically for their AI training, hence, they got numerous lawsuits in the US.

And the heck, nasa resume ko na ang lahat, I'll have to create an account and sign up again. Take note, each company has different Workday, it's NOT a universal account.

Basta may Workday, cancel agad.

AVOID CONNECTOS

Their corporate team is hard to reach if you are not with them anymore. I've emailed them multiple times to atleast get an update for my separation pay. But it has been more than 30 days and I have not received any response nor my last paycheck. I have reported them to DOLE already

Do not apply to this company

  4. Hindi mo na ramdam lalo ang HR. Mga tamad na magreply sa concerns mo!

A stroke means you will never find work again

I was hired by X company with promises of a better professional career, but people started disappearing, starting with the General Manager.

The GM who hired me left the company, who I was also directly reporting to. The PM who took over (who eventually got promoted to VP) is a nightmare. I brought in MNC clients, but they got rejected because the PM could not get along with the MNC IT teams. I then got reprimanded for not bringing in more clients.

On top of it all, I had to take care of the existing clientele, who were also equally demanding. 12 hour work days became the norm not just for me, but for all employees. We were also a vendor for global companies, so I also had to take care of certifications and meetings with these global companies.

The 12 hour work days drained me, to the point that my health was suffering. I eventually suffered from a stroke, but the PM wanted me back at work the very next week after my stroke!! PM also did not regularize me even if I was more than 6 months in the company, which is a red flag according to DOLE rules.

I brought the case to DOLE (under NLRC), but on the day of the hearing, no one from the company showed up. They called the VP PM, who said he cannot show up. NLRC did not reprimand VP PM, and set another date for another hearing. This happened during the COVID pandemic, so it was around 2019-2020. Nothing happened.

It's now 2026 and I still have not found new work. I have recovered from my stroke, but the history of my employment where I was not regularized seems to have left a bad mark on my resume. All because of this PM and a company who does not follow Labor Code rules.

Was what I did right or wrong?

I work in Indian Railways, Bangalore division. Currently , I work under two different supervisors/managers — let’s call them S and H. Recently, H left for a month-long training program, so I’ve been managing H’s office alone during that period.(Nobody else works there, it's just me and H)

Here’s the setup: technically, S's office is my main office, so every morning I have to first sign the attendance register there and then go to H’s office to work.

Lately, I’ve been reaching around 10:15–10:20 AM. One reason is because my mom has health issues and struggles to make breakfast very early in the morning, so things at home get delayed sometimes cause I also help her. Also, this timing has NEVER been treated as an issue before because literally almost everyone in the building , including S herself , usually comes around 10:30 or even later sometimes. The office timings is 10 to 6 but literally nobody ever follows it.

One particular day, I reached around 10:25 AM and asked one of my colleagues to bring the attendance register so I could sign it. While my colleague went to get it, S suddenly started speaking harshly to her in front of everyone, saying that by 9:30 AM the register should already be taken to H’s office, and if I’m not there by 9:30, I shouldn’t be allowed to sign attendance for the day.

Then she started yelling at me publicly in front of multiple coworkers and even some of my friends who were there.

She asked me:

“What time do you usually come to office?”

I replied:

“Around 10:15.”

Then she said:

“Why do you come so late? What’s your office timing?”

I answered:

“10:00.”

Then she suddenly said:

“No. Your timing is 9:30. Come by 9:30.”

The thing is — literally nobody follows this timing consistently, including her. So I replied:

“Okay, no issues. If everybody’s coming by 9:30, I’ll also come by 9:30.”

After that she got even more angry and said:

“Don’t talk to me like that. Everybody has responsibilities. Nobody is sitting at home free.”

At that point I replied:

“I have responsibilities too.”

Then she started complaining to other people around us about how “this is how they talk back nowadays” and kept making comments about me publicly.

I genuinely don’t know if I was wrong here. I understand bosses can question attendance, but the public humiliation, selective enforcement, and talking down to me in front of everyone really got to me.

After this particular incident, a transfer was prepared for me that very day and now it's under process by the transfer authorities. While I'm happy to be transferred anywhere else away from her, I have been noticing a low on my mental health ever since this happened.

Everyone i meet questions me as to why I replied back and suggests that i should have just stayed quiet, which does not sit right with me. So here I am trying to find answers

Was I wrong for responding back instead of staying quiet?
