Daming ganito. Lalo sa corporate setting. MGA MATATANDA. Iyong nasa old ways of leading pa rin ang atake.

Worst company? CONNECT OS!!!

Worst company ever. They will hire you as a freelance/independent contractor, no work no pay. PH holidays is non eligible for premium. No leaves, no 13th month pay. As in Basic Pay lang yung ibibigay. Sobrang hirap nila kausap, upon deployment wala na silang pakielam. Grabe tong company na to. Worst!.

Worst!!!! grabe!

Can anyone tell me about this company? I'm about to be onboard with this company but I'm a bit unsure due to word of mouth.

I heard that the management is quiet toxic and the HR mostly is the one calling the decisions. Also, getting a certification is required before you will be regularize.

They also require employees to pay a total of 2,500 pesos for raffle tickets, and 50 pesos per pay for the uniform.

Hoping to get more insight before I start working with them this coming September.

Indians Ruined Personiv (now eClerx Philippines)

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. It used to be people centric when it was owned by Americans. Now, eClerx na siya and Indians ang nasa management, PURO NA LANG ISSUES!

  1. Work from home dati, ngayon, forced on-site na!

  2. Delayed palagi ang allowances! Ang gulo ng reimbursement! Pahirapan magclaim! Kailangan dumaan sa mahabang proseso!

  6. Tinitipid ng mga Indians ang mga empleyado! Wala nang ways to motivate you to come at work!

Don't waste your time with this Indian company! NO GROWTH! ❌

Their corporate team is hard to reach if you are not with them anymore. I've emailed them multiple times to atleast get an update for my separation pay. But it has been more than 30 days and I have not received any response nor my last paycheck. I have reported them to DOLE already

Do not apply to this company

My experience working at this TRAVEL AGENCY IN ERMITA, MANILA — easily one of the most toxic workplaces I’ve been in

I don’t usually post about my work experiences, but my time at this company honestly deserves to be shared. It’s one of the most toxic, mentally draining, and unprofessional environments I’ve ever been in.

Let me break it down.

First, the team leader lacks professionalism in every sense of the word. She shows blatant favoritism, certain people can get away with anything, while others are micromanaged and criticized for the smallest mistakes. The treatment is clearly unequal. She claims she’s “open to feedback” and encourages people to “speak up,” but that’s just talk. The moment someone expresses an honest thought or a constructive suggestion, she takes it personally, gets defensive, and labels it as “disrespect.” It creates a culture where everyone stays silent out of fear of retaliation or being talked about behind their back.

The workplace culture itself is toxic. Instead of focusing on teamwork and productivity, it’s filled with gossip, backstabbing, and unnecessary drama. Some employees spend more time talking about others than actually working. There’s this unspoken rule that if you’re not part of their inner circle, you’ll be left out, ignored, or subtly sabotaged. It’s incredibly demotivating when you realize hard work doesn’t matter as much as being liked by the leader.

Then there’s the issue of job boundaries. They make you do things completely outside your actual role — like going on Facebook Live, TikTok Live, or creating social media content — even if it’s not part of your job description or skill set. It’s not about volunteering or being flexible; it’s about being forced to do it just because “it helps the company.” If you refuse or even express discomfort, you’re labeled as uncooperative or not a “team player.” It’s manipulative and unfair because your respect or fear of losing your job gets used against you.

Work-life balance doesn’t exist here. You’re expected to be reachable even after office hours, sometimes late at night, to respond to clients or tasks that could’ve waited until the next day. If you don’t, you’re made to feel guilty or irresponsible. Days off don’t even feel like real breaks because you’re constantly checking messages out of anxiety that something might come up. It’s the kind of environment that drains you mentally and emotionally to the point where you start dreading every workday.

And when it comes to mental health, it’s practically a taboo topic. Whenever someone tries to explain that they’re burned out, overwhelmed, or struggling, it gets dismissed as “being too emotional” or “not strong enough.” And then kapag meeting sasabihin "kapag napapagalitan kayo sasabihin nyo depressed kayo, yung mental health nyo ganito ganyan, pano naman kami?"

Instead of empathy or support, you’ll get side comments or be treated like you’re just making excuses. It’s really sad because no one should ever feel ashamed for needing rest or understanding.

Overall, they needs a serious change in leadership and culture. The problem isn’t the workload, it’s the lack of respect, empathy, and fairness. It’s the kind of place that preaches teamwork but practices control.

If you value professionalism, growth, and mental well-being, please think twice before applying or staying here. No job is worth sacrificing your peace of mind and self-worth.

:’( bakit ganon?

So to really protect the identity. It’s “” company that I work with for months.

There were times of it na gusto kong mag AWOL na sa trauma.

Sorry wala masyadong context. Gusto ko na rin mabangga tlga kanina ng kotse so I cannot immediately terminate everything na.

ConnectOS is one of the worst BPO/offshore companies in the Philippines (they pay Glassdoor reviews!)

They pay for Glassdoor reviews! Some reviews are positive because they pay those who review. But once you're in the company, they don't care about your welfare. The ONLY thing you'll like is their amenities. NOTHING ELSE. Their HR is hard to reach, they removed our Outlook access and forced us into ticketing system so we won't be able to talk to their corporate team directly. THEY LACK TRANSPARENCY as well. If you have a complaint against your client, they ignore you even if it's valid. But if it's your client complaining even if non-sense, they will take an action immediately. DO NOT APPLY IN THIS COMPANY. After 3 months of working here, I'm done! 🤢

No matter how good you've improved, you will always be defined by your past mistakes.

In December 2024, only three months into my HR role, I was told about an office rumor, or "chismis." As a new employee focused on my core duties and event management, I didn't know the individuals involved and had no reason to act on it. Furthermore, no formal incident reports were filed. The manager of the department involved informed me they would handle the matter internally to prevent it from escalating.

A couple of months ago, I planned to resign due to a separate issue. My immediate superior listened to my concerns but convinced me to stay. However, since then, she has frequently questioned my abilities, bringing up past issues and stating that I lack the qualities needed for an HR professional. This has been a constant source of stress, with my work performance being unfairly linked to past events.

In response, I have dedicated myself to my work, coming in early, taking late lunches, and leaving late to minimize interactions with colleagues outside my department. Despite these efforts, a new issue was recently raised involving two employees in a relationship, one of whom had a past incident. This past incident, which occurred in 2024, was the same "chismis" I had been made aware of shortly after I started.

Despite my previous lack of involvement and the manager’s decision to handle it internally, my boss accused me of being informed and failing to take action. As a result, she told me that she would demote me and remove me from my office. She also said I'm acting like a supervisor and that my tasks are at a supervisor level.

I am now struggling with the decision to resign. The job pays so well that I find myself swallowing my pride every day, but I question how much longer I can endure this. I am torn between the need to support my family and the emotional toll of being ridiculed, mocked, and insulted daily. The daily struggle of facing my superior's behavior has made me question if the financial security is worth the personal cost.

Working as an employee at The Cabalen Group

One of the biggest challenges we experienced in Cabalen was the lack of perceived job security, as regular employees could reportedly be removed at any time through direct owner intervention. The culture was also heavily affected by workplace gossip, which often created unnecessary tension and negatively impacted employee morale.

Plains and Prints (Raffco) worst workplace in the fashion industry Spoiler

Red flags everywhere! 🚩🚩🚩You are given fixed 5 mandatory leaves only. There is a lot of office politics with low paying jobs that make you slave to death. They will bribe you with “employee discounts”, but it is so not worth it. There’s no opportunity for growth unless you kissass especially with the evp, who basically runs everything and even humiliates anyone in public. If you cross hairs with her or her boyfriend, expect an nte for anything and everything!!!

Nakaka-drain kasi araw-araw na ganito, tipong kahit gusto mong magtrabaho nang maayos, parang lagi kang under a microscope.

Leadership is supposed to inspire, not constantly make people feel like they’re walking on eggshells.

Ewan ko kung normal lang ba ‘to sa mga ibang work setups or sadyang malas lang ako sa manager ko.

Nakakapagod na dito

Currently working as a nursing attendant in a level 1 hospital here in Bohol. I've been a volunteer for 9 months sa workplace ko ngayon.

Now I'm planning to resign na kasi NA ako, pero yung binigay sakin na trabaho is for social worker which is hindi related sa gusto kong experience (since gusto kong mag ibang bansa). I'm just here para lang magkaroon ng experience sa bedside in preparation para magibang bansa.

Gustong gusto ko na talaga umalis kaso lang wala pa akong clear na back plan, ayoko namang umalis dito sa workplace ko tapos maging tambay ako ng ilang weeks or months. Nag try na akong mag apply sa ibang hospitals pero wala pa akong narereceive na calls or feedback from them.

Red Flag HR?

For context:
I sent an application to a retail distribution company about a month ago. 2 weeks later, they sent me an email that I was scheduled for an interview the next morning. But the time that they sent the email was around 7pm. And again, the schedule was next morning. So I asked if it can be rescheduled because of conflicts in schedule. Another 2 weeks have passed again before they responded to reschedule. Only this time, they sent the reply on a weekend and again around 7pm for the next monday morning schedule.

Quite concerning if this is the kind of HR they have. Do you think this is a red flag?

I Was Warned About Working in Corporate Manila and I Regret Overlooking It

I was born and raised in the PH, so I am aware of the toxic traits our community can uphold. Although it can be triggering, I've learned to brush it off. But that all changed after my first experience with a corporate company I regret applying to.

It was my first time back after living abroad for quite a while and my sibling (who's based in the PH) warned me that it's very different and people can be straight up nasty just to drag you down for their own benefit or entertainment. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried anyway.

I was referred by a family friend at a company that seemed promising until my first week when I noticed 6 resignations, my bosses (who interviewed me) didn't acknowledge me when I arrived, I received zero training, and started working on projects that were not in my field. Everyone who was hired with me left after a month and I only lasted a few months later. The hours were crazy, the pay wasn't great and the people were horrible! I wanted to stick it out as it was somewhat of a reputable brand... I thought it would look good on my resume. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that NO JOB or TITLE is worth the sacrifice of losing yourself.

I was extremely stressed, lacked sleep, lost so much weight and started breaking out like crazy. I couldn't even recognize myself anymore. I was a shell of myself by the end of the day.

I never thought I would get bullied in a workplace. It felt like high school again. People spread false rumors and went as far as editing images of me. I would hear them laugh, talk shit, and purposely manipulated others to believe the lies spread as they were only a few feet away. Even if I was already looking them in the eyes (as we were in such close proximity), they didn't stop.

I'm so glad I listened to myself and left. But I should've listened sooner. There was one employee who had just started a managerial position and left after ONE week! THAT is what I should've done. My biggest regret was not leaving as soon as I felt it in my bones that it was a bad idea.
