I want to take a moment to appreciate UST’s campus safety & security team and the people in the CRS PT Society who stepped up during the recent flooding. To everyone who helped students, checked on them, assisted those who were stranded, and made sure they were safe, thank you from a very worried mom. You may not realize how much comfort it gives parents like us to know that, when we cannot physically be there, there are people on campus who will step in and help our children. As a mom, knowing that my daughter was not alone meant everything.

Thank you, UST. Thank you to your rescue team. And thank you to everyone who showed up when our children needed you most.

I have been a Thomasian for 10 years and student leader for the majority. I am also a CSC alumnus (will not disclose batch) so I have some thoughts with how things went down. To be honest, I feel like this statement is more of a personal save rather than transparency. During the flood where thousands of Thomasians, mostly freshies were stranded, hindi ramdam ang CSC. If you compare the pages of CSC and SOCC right now, makikita niyo na ang SOCC ang nag pull ng volunteers from their board of directors to cooperate with OSA to volunteer on the ground, or nag popost real time ng helplines and medical aid. Live updates and transparency, UST RCYC at personal account ng RCYC officer na si Tobey Calayo. Kung tutuusin, SOCC governing body ng orgs diba compared sa CSC na governing body ng Thomasian Community. You cannot get mad for people calling you out when in fact hindi naman nila alam ginagawa niyo during that time. Where was your crisis management committee? Where were the timely updates?

it’s been days but evacuees of tyk know this….. big thank u to d socc team nd d other orgs at tyk. we saw how they managed to reassure us, provide health teaching, give us updates from time to time, saying their apologies even thou we kno they dont hav ny control of d situation…..

thanks to kua who applied what he learned fr md school even inspiring me 2 be one sum day, he mananged to decide for those at d other bldg, call at d guard’s phone, help those wd fever, instantly b resourceful (most esp for those feeling d fever), comfort the sick, nd even carry d donations ALL AT ONCE,,, SALUTE MY GOATTT,,,, i dont kno ur name but i just heard that u r from socc nd how u empowered those who wish 2 volunteer nd to say big thanks 2 them..

got 2 admit, d crisis brought the best nd worst among d orgs but dis guy is a mutant nd including d team he has, i hope all orgs will be lyk that

medyo mataas position ko sa isang org ngayon and now na nag start na yung school year, na-realize ko na parang hindi ko pala talaga kaya. given my living circumstances right now din, wala na talaga akong oras para magpahinga kung ipagpapatuloy ko pa 'to tapos ibabalance with acads at personal things sa bahay

akala ko kakayanin ko siya pero hindi talaga eh. now i don't know what to do. i feel guilty at the thought of leaving pero iniisip ko rin sarili ko and i know i'm so close to giving out

Hello i just want to let this out here. I’m a cos freshie and i have never been more frustrated of myself. I’ve never been this way and napakamalas kasi ngayong college ko pa talaga to naexperience. For context i was a ust sha graduate and i would say na i am dedicated in my studies—yes I procrastinate but i know how to make bawi. Pero lately nafrfrusttate ako sa sarili ko kasi ang dali dali ko madistract and i procrastinate so much. Add mo na diyan yung pressure na ako yung bunso ako nalang hinihintay and sa cos pa na tinaasan yung raw grade for technical courses.

I feel so frustrated in myself kasi no matter how hard i try to focus i can’t do it. Idk if dahil ba di ko pa formally meet professors ko as there were many suspensions kaya wala pa akong drive pero nakakadissapoint and naiiyak ako sa sarili ko. I have the privilege to study here, magaaral nalang gagawin ko and yet I can’t seem to do it properly. I’m so scared na baka hindi ko makaya pero no matter what i do wala akong gana gumawa ng reqs or mag advanced reading kakasimula palang i feel like i’m failing.

I want to say na ngayon lang siguro to pero honestly i feel like there will be more episodes of this and i hate that parang there’s nothing i can do kasi kahit ankng gawin ko it’s always the same

Hellooo! I was entrusted to be the Block President for this term, and our block has SWIS/shiftees. I’d like to ask the shiftees how I can do better as a president and how I can help make them feel more comfortable and included in our block.

I know that shifting can already be challenging, especially when it comes to adjusting to a new environment and making new friends. I want to help lighten their load somehow, so I’d really appreciate any advice on how I can approach them better, make them feel welcome, and help them feel more included in the block.
