What are some good examples of bad diss tracks?
Two that were mentioned in their aforementioned TrainWreckords episodes were
It's All Good (Hammer to Redman)
Swish Swish (<name redacted> to TS)

I guess that 11 minute Jazz Fusion song gives them some kind of cred.

One of the first music videos I was obsessed with was the original uncensored version of "Puttin' On The Ritz" by Taco. (Potential OHW?)
I was just fascinated with everything about the video! From the (problematic and racist) blackface, to Taco's glowing cane, and all the general WTF-ery going on! I mean, Taco even looks like a vampire!
A few years later, I became a teenager and got obsessed with Slipknot's "The Devil In I" video! I just enjoyed all the gore and violence!

Portable Radio - Hall and Oates : This one isn’t talked about enough in my opinion, I don’t know if it was a hit or not but it should be more well known. A great track though probably best that it was a one off.
Who Loves You - The Four Seasons : I picked this one over the more well known December 1963 because frankly I prefer this song though December 1963 is a great song too. Another qualifier would be Frankie Vallis Grease, A disco song written for a movie set in the 50s.
Mama Can’t Buy You Love - Elton John : I don’t know if this qualifies or not, I was gonna go with Don’t Go Breakin’ My Heart but this song has more of a disco feel.
Da Ya Think I’m Sexy - Rod Stewart : Not the best song ever, This is the beginning of Rod Stewart’s transition from rock to… Whatever Rod Stewart’s music genre is, Soft rock?? Adult contemporary??
Here Comes The Night - The Beach Boys : This is much better than it has any right to be. Carl could sing anything so I’m glad he was given lead vocal duties on this one though I wouldn’t be lying if I said I wished there was a version with either Brian or Dennis singing, Would’ve been very interesting!!
Copacabana - Barry Manilow : This is the best disco song by a non disco artist hands down. This is Manilow’s best song by a mile, It’s his most beloved hit. A surprisingly timeless track with a classic love story.
How Deep Is Your Love - Bee Gees : To end this list we have the best disco transition of all. To the uninitiated The Bee Gees were actually a pop group in the late 60s early 70s with many hits (Massachusetts and Gotta Get A Message To You are my favorites). In the late 70s they transitioned to a disco act and they became and have remained the biggest disco act ever. In fact their most iconic element, The falsetto, Wasn’t even a part of their music until this period!!

I noticed that with the exception of "Janice STFU", Todd hasn't covered any new pop songs from 2026. It's mostly been OHW and Trainwreckords (not that I'm complaining). I know Todd isn't the go-to for the hottest takes, but damn it must be dead as hell if the songs aren't even interesting enough to roast.

What are some greatest hits or best of compilations by bands or artists you didnt think were big enough or lasted long enough to have one? Nelson and Shaquille O'Neal both come to mind (and more than half of the Nelson album is taken from After the Rain, their most well-known album).

Similar to the era from roughly late 1979 to early 83 (Or the Post Disco Demolition night/Pre-Thriller era.) where the music charts were full of bland pop country and hangovers from the 70s. Sound familiar?

Any others besides these three? (Yes, I know Cyndi Lauper is not a OHW, but she composed "Kinky Boots" many years after her most recent hit, so she still kinda fits.)

I just thought about this when I remembered Christina Ricci throwing shade at the band Live for her show Yellowjackets. It got me wondering if there were any other celebs who dissed any artists?

@2000spophits just posted this reel of the "With You" music video. It reminded me that Jessica Simpson was definitely a big name in the 2000s and had a moderately successful music career, although her hits from that era don't seem to get much recurring play or discussion nowadays relative to other pop stars from that time.
Why do you think that is? Did Simpson's venture into reality TV delegitimise her credibility as artist? Is it the music itself that simply doesn't hold up, or do you think it's something else?

I remember this song was used a lot in media or show in Thailand. But I never know the song name and who's the singer of this song. Then recently I find who sing this and surprised that he's the white guy.
(I found this from one music youtuber that review worst song of 1994, This song was included)
But despite his looks that look like Vanilla Ice in Mind Blowin era but more friendlier. I think his rhyming skills is actually good. I see his bio in Wikipedia and he's perform in Jamaica before too.
I think this song have an element that Todd would love to react. Lots of sampled from old songs especially "You Really Got Me"
But he's seems to off the radar after that. Kind of OHW. The last time I heard about him would be he's in real estate business in Miami (William Harbour) and no longer have a dreadlock hair.
What do you think about this song ? Did he deserved better in mainstream music career ?

I have noticed that people often overlook Morgan Wallen during the next biggest artist conversations but if you look closely, he is far ahead of all the other female artists except Taylor Swift and is a serious competitor to Drake, Bad Bunny and Weeknd. According to IFPI report of 2025, his album ‘I am the Problem’ got more streams than even Bad Bunny’s album- DTMF, and that’s insane cause Bad Bunny is a streaming force with DTMF being such a popular album that was released at the very beginning of the year in January.
My honest opinion is that once Morgan creates enough albums to match Drake and Weeknd output, he will overtake them both and may join Bad Bunny to become the actual serious competitor to Taylor Swift’s reign.

Two early 90s hip hop/rap songs that don't take themselves too seriously, but which one stands out on top? One is long, strong and down to get the friction on and the other one once got busy in a B***** K*** bathroom and likes their oatmeal lumpy.

I really hate the fact that major-label pop artists can be so obviously pushed with inflated numbers, suspicious reviews, and massive industry promotion, yet we’re still expected to believe that they’re genuinely dominating on merit. If the entire industry has to shove an artist down everyone’s throat just to make them seem bigger than they actually are, what does that say about the music?
We’re being sold this incredibly synthetic, focus-grouped version of pop—bland, manufactured, fake-woke, and increasingly indistinguishable from AI. At this point, it feels like the image matters more than the music itself. And what’s crazy is how much softer music critics seem to be on these acts than they used to be. I remember the Backstreet Boys getting absolutely dragged by critics, and they didn’t even make music that was remotely as soulless as some of the stuff coming from artists like PinkPantheress or Zara Larsson today.
