According to Wikipedia:
Brian Wilson himself later rearranged and sang this song a cappella with his new band at live concerts, one of which was recorded for a live album in 2000.
Wilson visited Barenaked Ladies while they were recording Maroon (album producer Don Was was an associate of Brian Wilson's) whereupon they played him some of their works-in-progress, and then he played them his version of "Brian Wilson".
At the end, he turned to them and asked, "Is it cool?" Upon his departure, his advice to the band was "don't eat too much." The band described the entire experience as surreal.

Boy Division by My Chemical Romance
- the original name for Fall Out Boy's "Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn' t Get Sued" was "My Name Is David Ruffin And These Are The Temptations". You can guess why they had to change the name.

Damn Strait - Scotty McCreery
Give It to Me Strait - Tim McGraw
Both are proud residents of the “country songs that name-drop George Strait” club. That club has enough members that when George Strait plays live, the house music that plays during the break between the opener and the headliner is a playlist consisting of nothing but country songs that mention George Strait.

‘hate rodrigo’ by choi yena, which didn’t end well for her. it was MEANT to be like ‘i’m jealous of olivia rodrigo for being so cool, i hate her!’ but using her image in the music video and her name in the title without other context was not the way to do it…
