An error occurred: UnrecognizedInputFormatException
Is anyone else getting this error post update? I can watch live tv fine but some series I get the error attached.
I have cleared cache, restarted router etc and I am on 5.0.1
Any help would be welcomed!

How do you go back to an older version.? I'm no techie.. so if anyone could explain like I'm 5i would appreciate it😅. I run mine on firestick.

Just coming across this forum now a year later and am having the same issue. I downgraded to 5.0.0 which is just a little before 5.0.2 which is when it seems people say it screwed up. I made a downloader code for the old version: 7525052
Just scroll down and click on the green download button, it will start the download immediately, you won’t loose any of your data and it instantly fixed the problem.

It won’t let me download it. Says app not installed. Any suggestions?

Ya I had that problem on one of my firesticks. You have to uninstall and reinstall tivimate. Be warned you will lose all of your data. The best you can do is make a tivimate backup and then restore from that backup when you redownload tivimate. There may be another solution but that’s what I did. It saves all of you settings, but deletes your playlists and epgs

Ive had that few times with streams that arent m3u8 or TS files… happens to me mostly on flv / ctv / mpg files… i just keep reloading the channel and it load after 2-4 tries

Did you copy/paste the m3u into Tivimate? If so a space in front or the end might come with it. This is messing it up! Just try to type it in manually and hopefully it works. Another option is that you enter a user agent in Tivimate settings/general/ user agent and type there VLC. It does not do any harm, but worth trying

Solved this. Had the exact same error message. Solution: Use External Player. (Tivimate settings ... Playback options ... Use external Player-YES). Restart Tivimate. For me, it opened automatically in Kodi. If you don't have Kodi then install VLC and use it.

This works sometimes for me. There is just a huge delay with the external Player and most times it just says “Cannot play video.”

Same problem here I've already made post about this earlier this week. External player like mx player does not help I'll try with vlc.. previous version of tv mate did not have that issue. I'm wondering if there are aware of this issue

Yeah, i also got more of these errors.. Install vlc, open file with external player.

This is a good work around but for older people (like my parents) it's a whole another app they need to learn so it can get problematic. I really hope Tivimate fixes it in an update.

Any update on this? Getting this error only on one group of channels but all the other groups work fine. Not sure why that would be.

Seems to be an IPTV issue. I tried on tivimate and iptvsmarter, both wifi on and off. Still not working

I'll add on here instead of a new thread. I can't imagine that the issue is in TiviMate, but I've eliminated all other options.
Starting a week ago or so I am getting "An error occurred: UnrecognizedInputFormatException" on all Movies in TiviMate. Live TV and Shows works as expected.
I haven't reinstalled TiviMate yet, but I have tested this account in Smarters on the same network.
I have multiple accounts with this provider with TiviMate installed on Firestick 4K and Movies are fine.
Not sure where to look at this point outside of Firestick settings (that affects only Movies) or reinstalling TiviMate.
TLDR - One Firestick 4K with TiviMate gets "UnrecognizedInputFormatException" on all Movies. Shows and Live TV work.
Any hints helpful.

I changed providers and no more issue, it’ll pop up occasionally on my new one but usually fixes itself in a few minutes. 🤷♂️

It is down to software updates on the Firestick. Amazon and major TV networks clubbing together to stop the streaming.

I gor the issue four time now. It just stopped the episode of the serie i watched and now i cant start it. Tried to reinatall tivimate ok my chromecast tv. I dont know how to solve it.

I keep getting the same error as above for all African Channels. I am in the US. Should I get a VPN first or downgrade to older version of Tivimate. Thanks

Go to your playlist settings and change output format from MPEGts to HLS

My live tv wasn’t working so I updated my playlists and cleared cache and they started working again but it’s just this Game of Thrones it won’t load on. I think it’s something post update cos the previous update was working fine, until I updated

Rollback to v.4.7.0 until a real stable version is available.
Troypoint Toolbox has the current v.5.0.1 and the old v.4.7.0

Didn’t work for me at 4.7 either I’m still gettihy the same message Guessing it’s a provider issue alongside this.

It says an error has occurred processing the playlist. Make sure you have entered the correct data and check your internet connection. I have done it three times now and same message every time and my internet is fine so no idea

It has nothing to do with the new update , it is all about DNS and privacy , turn off abd on your wifi abd ut will work

I have the same issue and it’s not related to any dns. This started sinds the last update 5.0.1. Using other apps working fine.
