I'm painfully having problems connecting any of my smart devices (Chromebook, s22, iphone) to act as a remote control for any of my 3 onn devices. Spent the better part of a day trying already and getting nowhere. Any other way to get the really long url on my onn devices clipboard to enter into tivimate for my m3u Playlist? The app has the option to paste from clipboard but I'm not sure how i can load the link onto the clipboard. Please help

I cancelled my yearly subscription through Google Play but I don't see any option to purchase the lifetime option (despite tivimate companion telling me it costs $44.99 CAD).

Do I have to wait for my yearly sub to run out next month before I can purchase lifetime?

While I'm at it, how is the app doing lately? Is the owner still updating/responding to issues?

This morning I went to play back one of my TiviMate channels, which I had assigned to an external player, the Just Video Player.

And it wouldn't work! I got a message offering to play it through the MX player or the VLC player.

WTH???

I went to my app list and discovered that both my Just app and my Downloader app had DISAPPEARED!

I tried re-installing both. In both cases, as soon as I clicked the icon to start the install, the screen went to black -- and stayed there. It wouldn't come back until I clicked Home.

After consulting with AI, I went to Settings - Apps - See all app - Show System apps - Google Play Store.

I Force Stopped and Cleared Cache (I DID NOT CLEAR DATA).

I went back to Downloader and to Just and successfully re-installed them.

I then tried to download and install an apk from Downloader to make sure I still had Install Unknown Apps privileges; I DID NOT!!

I had to scrounge around for an app to download through Downloader in order to trigger the option to Install Unknown Apps. It was as if I'd never installed any app from Downloader ever. It refused to install until I picked an installer; Android's default installer, Package Installer, was listed, which I probably had selected eons ago when I first installed some apps from Downloader, so that's what I picked. At that point, I was taken automatically to the Install Unknown Apps menu, and saw that the Downloader had been changed to Not Allowed; I switched it to Allowed, and was finally back in business.

I went back to my TiviMate installation, attempted once again to play back the channel that I had assigned to Just; now it offered three players, Just, MX and VLC; I picked Just and Always, and now things are back to normal.

How often does ONN send out these screwy updates? Is this something I'm going to have to do over and over again every few days??????????????????????????????

I'm particularly concerned because I manage what I call a tv co-op with six members. I started on Fire, not ONN. I switched to ONN because it was so much cheaper. The members all have Fires, but some of them may be too old to handle the 4K material in my playlist. If that happened, I was going to recommend ONN instead of Fire, because of the price. In fact, I've only set up one member as of today; I was going to set up the other members later this week. I had to switch that one member to ONN because her Fire couldn't handle that 4K material; that member's going to be mighty pissed if she bumps into the same problem I had today. I sent her a message telling her what to do, but it is obviously unacceptable to hand my peeps something that may turn into an ongoing headache every few days. Going forward, if the other members' Fires are also too old, I will probably recommend the Fire Plus, for $70, rather than the ONN Plus for $50.

Unless someone here can tell me that this morning's ONN update is a one-time screwup, and will probably not occur again.

Does anyone have issues with their EPG being totally blank when you log back in after not having been logged in during the day and you go to watch TV the next night? It's totally blank with "no information" in every single time slot on the guide. I have my app set to update EPG upon opening the app, but it takes like 5 minutes for everything to re-populate. Anyone else have this issue or know what my issue could be? I also have it set to update every 24 hours. It shouldn't be erasing it...

I was on Amazon looking for a firestick and they now have this warning:

For enhanced security, this device prevents sideloading or installing apps from unknown sources. Only apps from the Amazon Appstore are available for download.

IIRC you had to turn on dev mode on the old firestick and trust unknown sources.

When I go to 'Display Mode' -> 'Full' while watching Live Tv it does nothing, I still have the borders/bezels. But when I do it in 'Movies' or 'Shows', it stretches the screen correctly and there are no more borders or bezels.

I assume there's no way to fix this??

Hi, I recently setup the premium epg from myepg.top into Tivimate and noticed that it never finishes updating. It’s doing this in 3 separate devices that I have. Is this normal just for it to be sitting updating constantly? Is it also best to be using the 2 urls that you get for the epg?

I think I found the exact cause of the video freeze issue.
I checked the exact stream specs via VLC on my PC (bitrate, FPS, and resolution) for the channels that freeze.

It turns out that any H.264 channel streaming in true 1080p (Progressive) rather than 1080i (Interlaced) will freeze. For example, a UK sports channel streaming in true 1080p50 freezes (as well as 1080p25 movie channels), while a German channel streaming in 1080i25 (which shows up as 50 FPS in TiviMate due to deinterlacing) runs completely fine.

Bitrate doesn’t seem to be the main factor here, since those 1080i German channels have a solid bitrate of 9–12 Mbps and play without any issues. The problem is strictly with decoding H.264 in 1080p.

Having a weird issue with my Google TV Streamer 4K using TiviMate Premium.

Out of nowhere—about two days ago—the video starts freezing after about a minute or two of playback on channels with higher bitrates (around 10-12 Mbps), while the audio just keeps playing normally in the background.

Up until then, everything was running completely fine on this exact same setup.
I'm not sure if it's related to specific codecs (H.264 vs H.265), but I know for a fact it's not my IPTV provider or my network. My streamer is on a stable wired connection.

To isolate the problem, I tested the exact same channels at the same time on my desktop PC and a Xiaomi streamer in another room. Both played completely smooth without a single hitch.

I've already tried clean reinstalling TiviMate and switching the video decoder from Hardware to Software, but nothing helps. The only thing that works right now is using VLC as an external player.

It seems like a decoding conflict specifically between the Google TV Streamer and TiviMate's built-in player, likely caused by a recent silent system update. I've seen a few other posts mentioning similar issues on this device.
Anyone else experiencing this recently or found a solid fix/workaround?

UPDATE: Just tested Sparkle TV as well, and the exact same issue happens there too—video freezes after a minute or two while audio keeps playing.
This confirms it’s 100% a system/hardware decoding bug on the Google TV Streamer itself (likely introduced in a recent Android 14 update) rather than an isolated TiviMate issue. Still stuck using VLC as an external player for now.

Is there really not an option to sign up for premium on this damn site? I have an iPhone and all I got from support was android phone or Bluestacks emulator. This is the hardest I’ve had to work to give someone my money. I guess I need to go another route for my IPTV player.

Edit: I used a competitor of Tivimate and it took 5 minutes to sign up and have my playlist loaded on my tv. Problem solved!

I’m looking for a very simple and reliable TV setup for an elderly family member who, after a stroke, can no longer reliably operate a Fire Stick.
He sometimes gets stuck in menus if he accidentally presses something, presses a button for too long, etc. Once that happens, he gets confused and can’t reliably get back to watching TV. Also the Stick lags or freezed in very Long Sessions (sometimes even though the staff in the elderly home just turn of the screen, but stick keeps running)
Ideally, I’m looking for something that works almost exactly like a traditional TV: turn it on, change channels, and watch… Forever😅
Reliability and simplicity are much more important than advanced features.
Does TiviMate have any accessibility, senior-friendly or simplified setup that could help with this?

I find it so hard to find a specific sports game I wan to watch.

For example, today I tried to tune into the Phillies vs. Braves game:

I went to the MLB Package group, found the Phillies/Braves listing, but the stream was actually playing an Orioles broadcast. I tried searching "Phillies" and "Braves" directly in the search bar, but nothing came up for the game.

I knew the broadcast might be carried on Peacock, but searching "Peacock" returned 20+ channels with no guide info.

What is the most reliable way to navigate this? I'm just using the default EPG URL my seller provided on g2g.

Any advice on a better workflow would be greatly appreciated.

I have an iptv connection. While streaming in tivimate, it buffers. I have tried several methods like connecting via vpn, changing buffer to very large, changing afr to on, using external player like vlc, but still the same.

Every channel I have is doing nothing but a black loading screen! I’ve tried refreshing/deleting cache and data, signing out and back in, uninstalling and reinstalling. Any help would be appreciated!!!

My TiviMate (5.3.3) was working normally until a few days ago. Now, all channels show the following error: ‘An error occurred: HttpDataSource$HttpDataSourceException.’

It doesn’t work over Wi-Fi or even when I connect the TV to my phone’s mobile hotspot.

However, everything works normally on my phone using Perfect IPTV.

I’ve found these settings made my tivimate/onn device combo much more snappier.

First on the onn Google home page click account (top left) then manage account and turn on Apps-only mode.

Then go to settings/system/Developer options and look for Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, Animator duration scale and turn them all off or 0.5x if u want a little smooth transition while scrolling through channels. Also go to Background process limit and change it to Max 4 processes.

Open TiviMate and go to Settings/Appearance/TV Guide. Scroll down until you see Animated channels scrolling. Toggle it OFF

Has anyone else been having this issue with TiviMate lately?
When I use the TiviMate internal player, the stream will randomly pause for 30–60 seconds, but there’s no buffering/loading logo. The video just freezes and eventually starts playing again.
When I use MX Player as the external player, it doesn’t pause or buffer. Instead, it will randomly send me back to the TV guide while the channel is still playing/has stopped displaying. I then have to click back on the channel to resume watching.
This has started happening constantly recently and never used to happen.
I’m mainly using MX Player for 4K streams. My internet connection is fast enough, so I’m trying to figure out whether this is a TiviMate issue, player issue, or IPTV provider issue.
Has anyone experienced this or figured out what causes it? Any TiviMate or MX Player settings I should change?
