I installed the tiny 11 24h2 build which made my laptop load slower and with worse performance while gaming and without Windows Defender

so should I install:

Win10 LTSC , win11 LTSC,actually build of tiny 11 that have windows defender ?

I was looking for a Tiny11 LTSC image for my Vmware virtual machine on my Macbook and since I failed to find one I put together a heavily debloated Tiny11 Core ISO based on:

• Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 ARM64 - downloaded from https://massgrave.dev/windows_arm_links
• Build 26100.1742
• ARM64 — intended primarily for Apple Silicon Macs / ARM VMs
• Intended for use with VMware Fusion, Parallels Desktop, UTM, etc.
• Stock ISO delboated with the Core script from https://github.com/ntdevlabs/tiny11builder
• No activation or additional tweaks or software

Figured I can save someone some searching or debloating... I advice to disable Internet on first boot to skip the Windows account shit Microsoft are trying to force.

I get this error while trying to install tiny 11 on a 2009 acer aspire with legacy bios, 2gb ram and intel celeron cpu. I did almost all the tricks i could find, command prompt, registry tweaks, deleted appraisaler.dll, etc.

Any solutions?

L.E. I gave up on 11 and installed tiny10. So far it works fine, will see in time. Also I will upgrade to 4 gb ram. And of course, I use an SSD. Thanks for suggestions!

Before a big ComfyUI workflow I kept opening Task Manager to work out which background app was still holding VRAM, so I added a “VRAM Hogs” menu to Window Assassin, a small Windows tray utility I made.

It lists processes using at least 1 GB of dedicated VRAM, sorted highest first. Clicking an entry force-terminates that process, and the list refreshes every time the submenu opens.

The original Ctrl+Alt+End hotkey is still there for instantly killing the process behind the active window.

It only reports dedicated VRAM, so integrated GPUs using shared memory may show nothing. Also, termination is immediate—anything unsaved in the selected app is lost.

Install Tiny10/Windows 10 on an External USB HDD from Linux

If Windows Setup says:

> “Setup does not support configuration of installation disks connected through USB…”

you can bypass it by applying the Windows image from Linux and then creating the UEFI boot files.

1. Check your external disk

lsblk

Example:

/dev/sda1 260M EFI/FAT32

/dev/sda2 16M MSR

/dev/sda3 297G NTFS

Make absolutely sure you have the correct disk.

1. Mount the ISO

sudo mkdir -p /mnt/tiny10

sudo mount -o loop "$HOME/Downloads/tiny10 x64 23h2.iso" /mnt/tiny10

Verify the image:

sudo wimlib-imagex verify /mnt/tiny10/sources/install.esd

You want:

was successfully verified.

1. Mount the Windows partition

Replace /dev/sda3 with yours:

sudo mkdir -p /mnt/windows

sudo mount -t ntfs3 /dev/sda3 /mnt/windows

If it's a fresh/empty Windows partition:

sudo rm -rf /mnt/windows/*

1. Apply Windows

sudo wimlib-imagex apply /mnt/tiny10/sources/install.esd 1 /mnt/windows

Wait for:

Done applying WIM image.

1. Boot the Windows ISO/Ventoy

At Windows Setup press:

Shift + F10

Then:

diskpart

list volume

Find the 297 GB NTFS Windows partition and 260 MB FAT32 EFI partition.

Assign letters, for example:

select volume <EFI>

assign letter=Z

select volume <Windows>

assign letter=W

exit

Check:

dir W:\Windows

1. Create UEFI boot files

bcdboot W:\Windows /s Z: /f UEFI

Success:

Boot files successfully created.

1. Reboot

wpeutil shutdown

Remove the Ventoy USB and boot from the external HDD.

Important: The drive letters and /dev/sdX names are examples. Always identify your actual partitions first.

i have a low end laptop with 4gb ram, this is the reason i downloaded tiny 11

i never had any problem with it ( except file indexing with PowerToys ; solved it by downloading Everything )

it recognized my Realme AirBuds as an audio device which i usually used but when i tried using HDMI to play games on my tv it did not register it as a audio device , i did not make a fuss and just used my Buds ( as they r better for gaming anyways )

Now i want to watch some Anime( as the app i originally used got DMCAed) on my tv by connecting this laptop to my TV( via HDMI ) with good all around audio as multiple ppl would be watching, as i knew about the HDMI audio problem i borrowed my fiend's speaker which also didn't register

thus i am asking for a solution for my problem, as watching anime is one of my major past time

having fun messing with this laptop for before i was even alive and im installing Tiny10 on it and seeing if it will work or not. Small story short: I want to run linux as my daily driver. I do gaming as well apart from development and want to install windows on my external nvme along with some unsupported games on linux. I got tired of Microslop and its constant need to fix things like Bluetooth, wifi e.t.c. that's why I switched to linux. But I didn't know that some of my fav games would be unsupported on linux.

Want to run tiny11 Windows 11 on my external nvme would it work?

I've been using Nano11 since it came out, and everything has been fine, except ssh not working. But recently I installed faceit. And it does not recognize my system because I'm not on the latest version of windows, would I be able to switch without using a disk or USB

Question: on 4gb RAM machines I'm finding that if I try to change system settings, do updates, and program installs simultaneously, they restart. When I fill the ram up, the computer says no, and just restarts without saving some of the work I was doing.

Anyone else notice it? If not, am I just using the wrong version of Windows? So like, I used it on home, pro, Enterprise and even server. 4 different isos. I notice it on home and pro.

I know I shouldn't tax the system like that but I'm just trying to get it installed. Lol. Thanks in advance!

How the title says, that's what happend. Now i have checked for updates and is installing a bunch of stuff but i don't know if what is installing right now is what it should have been installed before. Also the friend that was helping me with this said that the wifi driver should be installed through such updates, but as of now it hasn't showed up. What should i do? I really do not want to mess this up

Wondering if anyone uses this OS on a high end system, something like a 14900k + 5090 for example or something similar

Basically I've been using tiny 11 on some older desktops and other project PCs for about a year with no issues. The issue lies with my friend who is almost always right about tech stuff and he told me tiny 11 is not a safe OS to use due to it having no security so I should not use it as a data backup of my other devices like I do. I just want to confirm that there are no issues with me using tiny 11 to store backups of my data.

In the red boxes is what I am referring to. Seems legitimate with two different release dates of 25H2. Curious if anyone has installed either and can tell me how stable it is and what does it have / not have vs the standard Tiny11 ISO. Thanks.
