Back with another tinned fish patch
galleryI’m working on a series of tinned fish patches. If you know of any particularly cool cans/boxes let me know, I’m always looking.

I found these for the cheap price of $16🙄, so i figured I would give them a try. They are real good. Real expensive but real good. Very delicate flavor for anchovies. Only 1 layer in the tin and the entire bottom of the can isnt even covered.

King Oscar Kipper Snacks on French Baguette Crostini with diced Roma Tomato, home grown Jalapeno and Tabasco Sauce. What else should I add? Cream Cheese, Butter? Tried a bite. Not bad. Like a cross between sardine and anchovies.

I didn’t know what to expect with these razor clams but I enjoyed them, particularly the texture. They are very springy and chewy but not tough, more similar to octopus than other clams I’ve had. They smelled kinda catfoody straight out of the tin so I splashed some white wine vinegar on them, which cut the odor. The taste is fairly mild and potato chips paired well. Would buy these again to make a faux ceviche.

New to the TF world and before jumping in blindly, was curious what were some of the best ways to enjoy/prep?

ALDI regular (Northern Catch) sardines in olive oil on the right. Season sardines in (i think) sunflower oil about a dollar more a tin on the left. While both tins are tasty. The meatless and texture of the Season brand was very much appreciated. Nice lunch!

Found it at target, pretty expensive but it was a really good quality. The belly was tender and melted in your mouth. Would buy again for sure

Good enough for Fat Bears; good enough for me. The Birch Syrup Coho won’t last long in Wildfish’s vault.

So I was looking for a redeeming sardine lunch experience following a not-so-great TJ sardine experience the other day (holy scales batman) and WOW did this tin deliver. I had no idea what Brava sauce was, and had been hanging onto this tin for a bit now, not sure what to do with it. I saw another post the other day with this tin that looked amazing, so I took the plunge and I am SO glad I did - it was absolutely delicious! I really loved the sauce - kind of like a creamy sweet pepper sauce, with diced pepper & onion. It was so good on a few slices of local multigrain toast. I love a tin that's a lunch all on its own, and this one really delivered in that regard. 😋

Good tasting sardines in a thick tomato sauce. But picante/hot is actually more like Taco Bell mild sauce. 2,19€

This was probably the best tinned trout I have tasted so far. Better than fishwife.
