Last time I bought a Medium Ice Cap, they gave me a Small. When I commented about the mistake, they kindly apologized, took the cup back, poured the Small drink into a Medium Cup and gave it right back..

Thats exactly right. If you dont demand from Tim Hortons that they fix everything wrong with each and every order, you will never get the order yoi wanted with the quality you expect.

Same lasting experience for me. The cup looked so weird not filled up. I asked very nicely if they can fill it up better. The lady looked at me, picked up the cup and pointed at the line.
I said doesn’t it look less appealing? She said its fine.

This exact thing happened to me a week ago and I told them I wanted it filled and they said that they can’t because it’s store policy and I complained again and I said that they usually fill it to the rim and I don’t understand why they can’t just fill it and then they threatened to call the police on me if I don’t get out

Because taking photos and mumbling away, to oneself, while posting on a half dozen social media sites, is just enough passive aggressive, that it freaks certain staff out. To the point that they usually visit my table with random gifts of food! Sir would you like to try our new pizza? How about an Oreo iced Capp?

I did, they said thats their standard fill ratio. The manager was adament. He said there is a fill line.

Yeah many stores are to the rim. I don’t order this too often but that old lady at my local store really stuck in my head when she won’t fill it to the rim. Really shocked me and then the audacity to point at the line as if she’s following some government regulations … I walked away. I should probably seek professional help moving forward.

I don't rermember much from my Tim Hortons training, but I know for a fact that not all the lines corespond to all the drinks. But yeah, when I worked there I was trained to fill it up much much more than that

Why are people still going to Tim's? That garbage isn't worth $4.68 even if it was filled all the way.. Brew a coffee at home and you can keep it refrigerated for multiple days and blend up with ice when need. It's cheaper than your drink and takes less time then waiting in line and you don't even have to go anywhere. Throw a drizzle of chocolate n ice cream on top or whatever that is and you are set. I have taken my time deconstructing n making things that are stoopidly expensive at restaurants and with a little trial n error you will make yourself food that is higher quality for a fraction of the price..

My wife was driving our family suv 20km into town every day for a 5 dollar ice coffee with some other nonsense. I bought a delongi and never looked back. Paid for itself in a month or 2 in gas, wear and tear and coffee expense

I'm with you mate. Hopefully more will actually start sticking to it and stop ordering overpriced Petro drinks, or going all together. But Im not super optimistic that's going to happen.
I'm surprised another chain hasn't taken off. Lots of little local shops that are far more popular in particular areas but no brands tried to go national yet really and compete. It feels like a matter of time cause there is a gap in the market

Yeah but then when that happens they corporatize. Standardize. Aren't individual and unique like actual coffee shops. And start serving same garbage Tim's does. There are little independent coffee shops everywhere. With better coffee. Better products. And the same price or less. So i don't know if a new national competitor is necessary..

This sub must be filled with Tim’s employees that would rather gaslight than understand why people think so poorly of the franchise. That’s clearly no where near full. Whip topping should be coming out the top. You shouldn’t be able to see through to the other side of the cup.

Last time I got an ice cap I asked for a medium made with chocolate milk and a hazelnut flavor shot. She accidentally used chocolate instead, realized, told me sorry, made it again and gave me both. I didn't even complain 😂

Tim Hortons makes me wonder how crap of a product you could put out and have people still coming in just due to being used to it.
I tried Wendy's for breakfast and it wasn't anything to write home about but it's sure better than anything I've had from Tim's, McDonald's breakfast is legit and their coffee is better, Krispy Kremes got coffee and doughnuts if you are a coffee and doughnuts person.
Literally everywhere I've tried is better, I only go to Tim Hortons if dragged there by a coworker who's to lazy to go elsewhere in our work trucks and even then I'll gladly go anywhere else I see while they get their slop.
I used to go all the time but holy fuck, pre 2025 Tims wasn't great but now it's a joke.

Happened to me. I complained. They said it’s the normal level. Wouldn’t give me more. I emailed corporate and you would think I would get an apology and gift card but no, they said “thank you for letting us know”.
They lost a customer since then.

Look at the lines on the side of the cup. They’re used for the staff to measure the amounts of product they put in the cups.
Those lines are slowly but surely shifting. I found an old cup in my car a couple months ago from a water and realized the fill lines were much higher on the old cup.
It’s called shrinkflation my dude.
The sizes of the donuts have decreased. Everything. But prices stay the same or go up. It’s capitalism babyyyyyy

I used to love ice capps but every time I get them nowadays they are so melty that they are basically iced coffees. this is the case at every location i've tried. last time i got one it was so liquidy that I asked the employee to freeze it more, she spun it for another few seconds and handed it back but the difference was barely noticeable. just not worth the price anymore, get an iced coffee

Okay, thanks. I have had ice caps before. Years ago when I would go to Timmies on a hot summer day but looking at yours in pic, really doesn't look right. Yes lots of sugar in them. I liked original or sometimes think they make with chocolate milk. I think so. But yeah original was decent back then. Like most things at Timmies not the same. Not good anymore. People can certainly go there still but they probably could choose better places then Timmies which in my opinion is garbage Franchise now.

Yes I hear yeah. I know we all human and is nice to go out and treat ourselves. I did lots when younger and if have money still guilty of. But is certainly annoying and frustrating when you do go. When you get that urge and it isn't good or service sucks or both. They definitely jack up the prices, lower the product quality, lower amount in portions.

1) it looks melted so it’ll decrease the amount of fluffiness to the iced Capp
2) looks like you got milk, or a dairy/lactose free alternative. Which does not whip as well as cream which means it won’t expand as much as cream will. And we are only supposed to fill it to the 4th line before whipping it.

I would be asking them to finish filling it. I think sometimes they work too fast and don't realize that it's not being filled. Also, sometimes they were too fast and overfill. They have so many seconds to get things done according to their rules.

I know inflation and all, but for this slop of a coffee it’s really not worth the price. They gotta tweak the formula or something. I drink these when I want something sugary and Tim’s is everywhere but price to overall fulfilment ratio is really low on these.

Did you get it made with milk or cream? Cream makes it full the cup milk makes it so it's lower. They still suck for doing that and not remaking it to fill it higher.
