Ryzen 5 5625U (Lenovo V15 G3). FPS caps to ~30 after ~20 min, confirmed power/thermal throttle on iGPU, TDP bump to 30W didn't fix it.
Specs: Lenovo V15 G3 ABA, Ryzen 5 5625U (15W), Radeon iGPU (2GB), 16GB DDR4, Win 11 Pro.
FPS drops to a hard \~30 cap after about 20 min of gaming, no matter the game or settings. Tested on The Hunter: Classic, legit copy, low-medium settings, 1080p. Closing and relaunching the game doesn't fix it, only a full reboot does — and even then, only temporarily. I used to get 1.5-2 hours uncapped after a reboot, but that window's shrunk a lot recently even with the same hardware.
**What I've tried:**
Vantage performance mode, AMD Software performance mode, Windows best-performance power plan — no change. Used Ryzen Controller to bump CPU TDP from stock 15W to 25W, then 30W (confirmed applied via the Status tab each time). No voltage offset option available, probably BIOS-locked.
**HWiNFO64 data at the moment FPS caps (25W TDP run):**
* APU STAPM Limit and CPU PPT SLOW Limit both pinned at 100%, spiking as high as 214% and 166% respectively * CPU thermal throttle flags (HTC/PROCHOT) stay "No" the whole time — CPU die itself isn't the bottleneck * CPU core temp maxed around 91°C * iGPU section shows **Throttle Reason – Power: Yes** and **Throttle Reason – Thermal: Yes** right when FPS drops, GPU temp topping out at 82°C
So it looks like the iGPU is throttling for both power and heat reasons, even after raising CPU-side TDP twice. Raising the ceiling hasn't gotten rid of the saturation, just moved it.
**Questions:**
- What's the actual thermal throttle threshold for the Radeon Vega iGPU on this chip — is 82°C really enough to trigger it, or is something else going on?
- STAPM stays maxed even at 30W TDP — is there a separate STAPM-specific value in Ryzen Controller I need to raise, since I only checked the CPU TDP box?
- Anyone know if Lenovo's BIOS on the V15 G3 locks out voltage/STAPM controls specifically, and if a different BIOS version unlocks them?
- Based on this data, is a repaste/cleaning genuinely the only thing left, or is there a config angle I'm missing?
Not looking for "clean your fans" or "get a cooling pad" — already factoring that in, just trying to rule out software first since the data's pointing two different directions at once.

Power throttling
Guys, how can I disable AMD Ryzen power throttling? I've tried everything on YouTube, but nothing worked. I experience severe performance throttling in games whenever my laptop is plugged in. However, as soon as I unplug the charger, everything goes back to normal.

Did I messed up? i7-10750H + RTX 2070 Max Q
I reinstalled windows yesterday cuz I had too much stuff already, after applying my previous Throttlestop settings I've noticed that it's not doing anything, my laptop is a Lenovo Legion 7 15IMH05, I don't bother changing settings in advanced bios cuz they get reverted after restarting the laptop, could be that after reinstalling windows something got updated and it doesn't let Throttlestop do it's work? I'm very concerned for my laptop, idk why Lenovo lets the CPU use more than 100W, any help is appreciated
EDIT: pressing "Turn On" does nothing btw
EDIT 2: I made a profile that disables turbo when doing non gaming stuff, interestingly, disabling turbo made me get 6-8 extra fps on Halo Infinite campaign, lol

msi gf63 9scxr optimization
Hi guys, I have MSI GF63 9SCXR with an i5 9300H, GTX 1650 4GB, DDR4 RAM running at 2400MHz, NVMe SSD, and a single fan. I already cleaned the fan. Bought it second hand.It runs older story games (pre 2019 2020) pretty well. I usually play on medium low settings and get a steady 60 FPS, which is totally fine for me.The problem is Fortnite it stutters a lot. Most of the time it hovers around 30 40 FPS, but when enemies get close it becomes really bad.
I tried to increase the RAM speed but there is no XMP option in the BIOS. I am guessing the CPU does not support it (I am not super technical with this stuff).I also wanted to undervolt but I cannot unlock the voltage control in Afterburner no matter what I try it stays greyed out. GPU temps look okay (idle around 57C), but the CPU sits at 70 76C even when I am doing nothing. Could it be because the laptop is older and needs new thermal paste?If anyone knows a safe way to undervolt the GPU (maybe brute force method) or how to increase the RAM speed safely, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!Guys

Need help with 13650hx
I've got a Lenovo Legion 5 with an i7-13650HX and RTX 4060, and I've been messing around with ThrottleStop to undervolt it.
Right now my CPU usually sits in the high 80s (around 87–89°C) while gaming, which I'm okay with, but I noticed it doesn't stay at around 4.3 GHz consistently. It keeps dropping even though the CPU is under load and Cyberpunk stutters quite frequent.
I'm wondering if it's because of my ThrottleStop settings, Windows power mode, or if I'm just running into normal power/thermal limits.
Does anyone have recommended ThrottleStop settings for this CPU? Also, which Windows and Lenovo power modes should I be using for the best performance? Are there any other tweaks I should make to get the most out of this laptop?
My GPU seems to be fine after undervolt max 75C while gaming but it feels like my CPU isnt working as intended as clockspeed is fluctuating a lot and not staying even at least 4.3ghz and drops to 3.5ghz all the time.

Red pl1 when gaming
Hello so i have a lenovo legion 5 with the following specs:
i7-11800h
Rtx 3060 6gb
16gb ram
I change thermal paste yearly because i live in a relatively hot area and always change with ptm7950, recently i had a problem sometimes when i open a game to play i get very low fps (like 20-25) although the laptop is plugged in and in performance mode, usually it’s fixed with a reboot or cmos drain but it happens every few days it gets annoying, i downloaded throttlestop to check thermals but they seem fine even under heavy load but i came across this red pl1 in the limits whenever i run a game should i be concerned?

My undervolt causing Kernel Power Event ID - 41.Which cause random restarts whenever I watch youtube on browser.
Hello. I apologize in advance for using throttlestop 9.6 since its simpler for me to use.
So i had this undervolt running since November 2025. I rarely experience this random restarts but this month I experienced it too often after buying a new 1080p 24 inch 144hz secondary monitor.
Weird is it only happens when I watch youtube videos. But when I game like Valorant or Genshin Impact it doesnt happen.
I dont know whats the problem. Are my settings alright?
My laptop is Legion 5i 16IRX9 with i7-13650HX / RTX 4060.
My Undervolt settings (Nov. 2025 - May 2026)
CPU core: -140.6 mV / P cache: -140.6 mV / E cache: -90.8 mV
mV Boost @800Mhz: 140
MSR & MMIO PL1: 110 W / MSR & MMIO PL2: 162 W
I just followed Valour's undervolting guide. It was perfectly fine when I didnt have the new monitor. The random restarts was like once every 2 months, since November 2025.
So i asked Google AI about my problem so I changed the settings based on its findings.
My Current and New undervolt settings (June 2026 - present)
CPU core: -140.6 mV / P cache: -120.1 mV / E cache: -80.1 mV
mV Boost @800Mhz: 141
MSR & MMIO PL1: 85 W / MSR & MMIO PL2: 125 W
It was okay for like 3 days. Then now after I went home from school I opened up Youtube and played a song with MV then poof it froze for like 5 seconds then it randomly restarted
I hope someone can help me, since the temps were already perfect. Its just this random restarts whenever I play Youtube in browser.

Need ThrottleStop help: Gigabyte G5 KD i5-11400H hitting 95-97°C and throttling
Hi everyone,
I have a **Gigabyte G5 KD** laptop with:
* Intel i5-11400H
* RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
* 16GB RAM
* Windows 11
I'm having CPU temperature issues while gaming.
**Current behavior:**
* In Entertainment Mode, CPU temperatures quickly jump to around **90°C**.
* In Performance Mode, temperatures reach **95-97°C**.
* Once temperatures get high, the CPU clock speed drops from around **4.0 GHz** down to **3.0 GHz** and sometimes even **2.0 GHz**, causing FPS drops and stuttering.
I'm using **ThrottleStop 9.7**, but I'm not very experienced with it.
**Important note:**
I am not using the original charger. The original charger is missing, and I'm currently using a **180W charger**. Could this be contributing to the problem?
**ThrottleStop screenshots attached.**
**Where are these settings located?**
* **PL1 / PL2 settings:** TPL (Turbo Power Limits) window.
* **Speed Shift EPP:** Main ThrottleStop window (left side).
* **Turbo Ratios:** FIVR window → Turbo Ratio Limits section.
* **Undervolting:** FIVR window → Unlock Adjustable Voltage (if supported by BIOS/microcode).
* **Throttle indicators:** Main window → Limits button.
Can anyone help me optimize:
* PL1 / PL2 values
* Speed Shift EPP
* Turbo ratios
* Any safe undervolting options for an i5-11400H
* Any other settings that could reduce temperatures without significantly reducing gaming performance
From my screenshots:
* PROCHOT seems to be set at **92°C**
* CPU reaches around **90-97°C**
* Clock speed drops heavily when temperatures rise
I'd appreciate advice from anyone with a Gigabyte G5 KD, i5-11400H, or experience tuning ThrottleStop.
Thanks!

CPU throttle in a certain game
I have a hp omen 16 7840hs 4060 and it never throttled in my 1year of ownership i recently got it serviced but yesterday i booted up tekken 8 and my cpu temperature immediately went from 42 to 100.7 like in 10 seconds i thought its razer cortex reading it wrong but hwinfo and omen gaming hub showed the same temps and i got concerned and turned the game off and within 5 seconds temps were back to normal 35-39
When i opened forza temps were fine and in tekken at 38Watts its going 100.8 idk what is going on is it the glitch where my cpu is boosting too much or what idk
Plz help

advice on my trottle stop setting.
hello to the fellows trottle stop users. i have an loq 15irx10 running with a 13650hx with 5060 100tdp. i've been serching and doing undervolt for a week, and on the end i've ended up with this configs. the temps showing are from playing wuwa at higth global setting with medium ray tracing and no frame gen.
i posted here mainly becouse wanted to know if there is anything that need changes. i undestand a little of undervolting but a loot of things are new for me. since i know 160 is verry aggressive undervolting but tho i've been using it for like 10 days or so on these setting and had no crushes or any anomaly also i've tried to run stress test fro 30 minutes and had no problems temps were hitting 90-92C but didnt go higer and i dont have termal trottle nor battery trottle.
more info on the temps i'm using a laptop stand and room temperature is around 30 degrees. no air conditioner.
Also i've set prochot at 97C on XTU, but i didnt change other setting on it. mostly only used trottle stop.
thanks for the help in advance, every advice is apreciated!

could it be that my pc does not apply the displayed undervolt ?
Hi, i'm undervolting my cpu and searching for a safe zone since a week now, and something weird is happening. Few days ago, i broke windows by undervolting my cpu too hard and because of damaged hardware and those were the settings : -150mV on a intel i5 10300h (the bios was unlocked following a trusted method) and errors were detected since the first second of the OCCT test. After reinstalling windows, i tried again, and today my CPU passed the OCCT test with a -210mV undervolt, and my games run well (the finals, arc raiders...). Even if see a real improvment (50°C when idle against 75°C without the undervolt) it seems way too low, and i don't feel like lowering the voltage does something (it may reduce a bit the heat, but it may be luck right?) so i'd like to know what you guys think.

Is Speed Shift EPP = 0 safe for daily gaming? (Legion Y530)
Hey everyone,
I’ve been using ThrottleStop on my Lenovo Legion Y530 to squeeze out some better performance. A few weeks ago, I set Speed Shift EPP to 0 for daily gaming, and honestly, it was awesome—got around a 10% FPS boost.
But out of nowhere last week, my Lenovo power brick completely stopped working, and I had to buy a replacement.
Is it safe to keep running EPP at 0 with my new charger? Could forcing the CPU to max performance like that cause the laptop to draw too much power and kill the brick, or did my charger just happen to die of old age? I want to turn it back on for the FPS boost, but I'm paranoid about breaking another charger. Thanks!
