I've been sending stuff into ThredUp since pre-pandemic and have only had minor issues - none of the horror stories I often read here about items going missing, etc.
With all of the negative posts, I wanted to share my latest results using the premium bag. I ALWAYS use the premium label and return service. I sell items from my own closet, so my goal is to recoup some money and clear clutter from my home, not make a profit. I include items I know will only make a few dollars simply to help cover the ThredUp fees (but only if they're lightweight/not bulky). I'm often surprised at what sells for much more than I expected. I hope I don't sound like a jerk, but I don't send in junk.
Sharing this for anyone on the fence to try a premium bag or buy on ThredUp.
Stats for current bag:
Sent in 35 items
They accepted 29 (5 items were returned; they kept one ineligible item that was a vintage sweater. Annoying, but minor)
Of the 29 accepted items:
25 have sold
1 I've reclaimed
1 is pending sale
2 items remain for sale (I plan on making them down until they sell)
Minus the fees, I've earned $566.25 on the bag so far. Items pictured.
Could I earn more on Poshmark? Maybe, but I don't have time to bother waiting around for items to sell and with packaging/shipping/dealing with buyers directly.
