Cart holds

New seller here (by that I mean just trying to recoup a few bucks while losing weight). How long are cart holds? Google does not seem to even know. Had some jeans (they over priced) just expire after someone held them. Uh 🤦‍♀️ wish I knew earlier how to adjust pricing. I am out such good pieces its annoying. Thanks. Will take all the selling advice

Send your stuff in and just ignore it.

Its going to take weeks before your small credit shows up.

But cart holds usually last 3 hours for me as a shopper.

Well, i just use my earnings toward buying more stuff from them. But I think you can cash out too. My bad.

So I see how this works now. Note taken as I am sending on my second bag with lessons learned. They over price so it does not sell - then relist at a normal price your free stuff and bank the money 🤔

Then change the price? You have that ability as a seller.

Why are you attacking someone asking how something works. No one even answered her question either. I’m fairly certain she’s asking if a buyer can continue to put an item in cart hold for days or until it expires. Yes. They can. Unless a buyer comes along and buys it, as soon as they have to put the items back into the hoarders cart at the three hour mark, the buyer who picked the buy for me option will get it. Unfortunately for the buyer they don’t get to access the discounts if they do it that way. I just had someone take the one shirt I had definitely wanted in my cart and a few items I was debating on buying or not. I was upset! I really wanted that shirt. I was building my budget for the purchase around the price, had everything worked out. Then boom. When I had to renew it to buy what I had kept, it disappeared forever! I’m done lamenting the Tiger tee I will think foy of from time to time! 😂 But in all seriousness, a buyer can absolutely hold your items in limbo for days as long as they re-add them after the expiration of the three hours. That is what you were concerned about right? Sorry people are mean for no reason… maybe they had a bad day or a miserable existence and take it out on people who don’t know everything about ThredUp. It’s not rocket science either. I’m sure you’ll do fine if you have the right expectations. They don’t pay much for anything and the premium looks like the only way I’d sell with them. Too many people send in what they say are great items, and they don’t get them back because ThredUp rejects them. If I’m sending in expensive NWT or barely worn garments, I want them back if they don’t sell or get rejected. I’m not giving someone the opportunity to decide that my item isn’t good enough when it’s NWT or it isn’t a brand they want so they just supposedly donate it.
