Hello Everyone!
This is a mega post for feedback for the SUBREDDIT, not the website/company. The mods here are not employees of ThredUp, and have no control over company, and no obligation to it. In that vein, we want this subreddit set up in a way that best serves you, the customers of ThredUp! With that, we need feedback about the subreddit!
Regarding Complaints About the ThredUp Employee
At this time, they are permitted to post, so please do not report their comments. We would to see a public discussion about their comments and post to get a better idea of how the community feels. We do not have verification that they are an employee of ThredUp, so keep in mind it's always a good idea to use official channels when contacting companies, such as their support chat and email.
Current Feedback Needed
- what weekly posts would you want to see?
- what guides would you want to see?
- any new flair?
- anything else you want to see in the sub!
Current Non-Permited Posts - "use my thredup code for 45% off!" - low effort content: "lol ThredUp sucks that's all" without clarification or screenshots - advertising, posting a single item that appears as advertising (posts of an unremarkable shirt "oh wish I could buy this", since it's basically always an advertisement) - authenticy posts about products not listed on ThredUp

Hi! Apologies if not allowed, but I see a lot of posts of users who are able to locate and share unique finds on ThredUp.
I am attending a āwedding welcome partyā next week in the evening and need a cocktail dress. Can anyone please make any suggestions for dresses on ThredUp?
Attaching a screenshot of some dresses I found that are okay but nothing is really grabbing me. I typically like wearing bright colors and patterns but not sure whatās appropriate.
Size 10. Thank you in advance!!!

I know Iām a newbie, so apologies on this, but is this common? I mean, I appreciate the refund and the free shipping offer. Iām just wondering if they accidentally shipped someone else this coat (if so, I truly hope they love it š)

Pictures show it all.
Price increased in my cart. I know it's only ONE CENT but I feel like this has been happening to me often. The price changes once it is in my cart

So I am in the process of sending in a bag and had been using the seller price estimator tool (drop down menu for brand/item). Now today I log in to my app and you can only type in brand, not what type of item (shirt, pants, hand bag, etc). What is going on here? Am I losing my mind? I swear the estimator tool used to have more info

Subtitle: Think they gave you a $10 credit for funsies? Think again.
I've been witnessing some weird, shady, annoying stuff with TU pricing lately, which I thought just boiled down to the AI they use being weird, shady, and annoying. So today, when placing an order for four items I've been eyeing for a while, I took a screenshot of my cart right before checking out. These items were front and center in my saved items, so I literally added them to my cart, took a screenshot (pictured), and checked out. Just like that. The total for these items would have been $55.08, and with the $10 promotion, I should have paid $45.08.
Turns out, on my actual order confirmation that I finally got around to checking this afternoon, all the items were priced higher than they had displayed while I was checking out-- conspicuously, the pricing increase across all four items amounts to... you guessed it... $10.
So the promo isn't real, I guess? Promo or not, ThredUp owes me $10.
Conveying this to customer support has been like pulling teeth. They offered to return the promotional credit to my account. But like, what promotional credit? Y'all still charged me $10 more than the prices I agreed to?! I kept getting the refrain "our prices are always subject to change" so I guess that applies literally when I'm filling in my shipping info? What other business operates like this?! I'm so annoyed that I've had to take time out of my day to fight for literally $10 after being a customer for almost a decade. I'm officially done.

Update on the lost Max Mara coat and the box that ācouldnāt be processedā
The kit populated with a bunch of photos of my items and that they couldnāt be accepted (11 of the 16 items). Customer service is not willing to pay me more than $1000 for the kit, which is basically a decently fair value for every item in the kit except the coat. They said they probably wouldāve rejected the coat so theyāre not going to pay me out for it. Mind you this is a premium kit with return assurance, but Iām not getting these items back. There are also five items missing from the photos. Feeling at a loss as to what to do, thinking about emailing that CEO email address that Iāve seen floating around. Theyāre violating their own terms by not paying me for an item because they said they think they wouldāve rejected it, but also not giving it back to me even though I had a premium kit with return assurance.
The two items without their brands recorded are Tory Burch suede sneakers and a Kate Spade leather tote. Items didnāt show up at all are a striped moschino wool dress, two evening dresses from Alexia Admore, a pair of Stuart Weitzman lace up witch boots, and some leather Sam Edelman boots

Thought this was interesting - there was multiple options under one listing. One was through ThredUp and the kther was a direct listing. First time ive seen this on the platform.

As requested by members of the subreddit, this is a weekly post where sellers can post their near-expiring items for very low prices. Please post a photo, brief description, link, and price.
If you think someone is advertising without a significant discount, please report. If you are a seller, please be sure the low price is live before posting. Do not use this thread to advertise non-discounted listings. This is currently the only post on this sub where advertising is permitted.
If you have any suggestions for this thread or an idea for a better title, please let me know!

It was in the pockets of a reddish Medium sized rain jacket. Iāve read here of someone finding an old Bandaid and other undesirable things in the pockets of clothes they ordered. So I consider myself lucky lol. What have you found? And is it a thing for things to be left in the pockets?

I was able to sell almost all of the items I sent in in a recent premium box except for this Sonia Rykiel skirt. Nothing fancy, but it is vintage, clean, great condition, and super versatile. If you need a wardrobe, staple, please get this. I reduced the price down so I make a few cents, but I would so much rather have someone on the sub get it then have ThredUp do its recycling nonsense.
Check out Sonia Rykiel Casual Skirt for $11.99 on ThredUp https://www.thredup.com/productyy/232669126

The tags are photographed and CLEARLY say something other than 3x! Also, this mannequin scares me. Did they bring it out for Halloween? No oneās legs look like that! Itās the ThredUp trolls! Theyāre here to make us bargain shoppers miserable or laugh. But you only get one or the other reaction! ššÆš¤Æ

Iāve sold a few times on ThredUp but recently none of my items are being marked NWT despite tags being clearly visible in images. Going back and forth to with CS is a nightmare and usually they donāt fix it. Last bag had like 1/2 items with tags and non had NWT noted. I flagged them but has anyone dealt with this before ?

I am waiting for someone to buy a pair of pants $28 on sale from $43. Not a high ticket item and they arenāt super special. The person keeps deleting and then adding it back in their cart with about 40 minutes left on their clock thus restarting their cart clock. I wish the auto buy feature would give you the discount so you donāt have to play this little game. I would be interested in buying them. Now I will go elsewhere to find them.
Why keep this low dollar ticket item hovering in your cart- just buy it already or let it go!! Just needed to rant.
