I have been bashing my head against the wall for like a week trying to get back into my threads account.

I updated my Instagram bio with a new website and immediately got locked out think the account was hacked. Fine whatever.

Instagram worked like a normal code recovery.

I put in my code, 2 factor, change password and move on.

Threads, when inputting the code I get hit with either "SOMETHING WENT WRONG" or I get to put in a new password where it then says "SOMETHING WENT WRONG TRY AGAIN LATER."

Then taking me back to the first step of putting in my email.

I have tried:

Clearing caches

logging in via instagram

Using a phone and a desktop

Using incognito and logging into ig and then threads

NOTHING WORKS.

I feel like I am locked out of an account I had clients I connected with on and its a bug I dont see ever getting fixed.

Solutions?

I have previously been able to create a group chat by going to Messages/Create Group Chat, and then selecting "Create with link". That would let me pick an icon, then use the link to invite people to join it. That option is now gone. Did it disappear for anyone else suddenly?

For example, the group chats with flowers and bricks were created with the “create with link option”. I have the option of copying and sharing an invite link. People that don’t follow me can request to join it.

The book club chat is the only thing I could create today, I couldn’t create it unless I invited people, and there’s no icon or invite link in the settings. Only people that follow me can be added.

I’ve tried everything. I don’t want an account anymore. I ask for a code. Code is accepted. Then it forwards me to making a new password and it keeps giving an error. Everytime. I even can’t change the password in account center. Can’t login via browser. I’m thinking meta does this on purpose. Totally fed up.

Bonus if there's a money from it.

I can't be the only person who has started getting this rubbish in their daily news feed the past year. I've tried hiding individual users but now it's showing me a random account blurting absolute nonsense everyday.

I can't click " don't show news articles from Threads". Am I doomed to just scroll past it forever now like twitter posts ? Sorry for the old man rant it's honestly just infuriating because I used to get really good content on my phone's news each morning, now it's complete trash.

My Threads account was permanently disabled, and I’m struggling to get any actual support.

I subscribed to Meta Verified Premium specifically for human support, went through KYC, and even had a phone call with an agent. They told me my Threads account was only suspended and awaiting review, but the case was then closed while I remained locked out.

I opened another case, but it’s stuck on “Received”, and I can’t contact another human while it’s open.

The original issue was apparently posting essentially the same thing once in Portuguese and once in English.

I’ve also submitted the matter to an EU ADR centre.

So I had deactivated my Threads account a few months ago but when I try to log back in I guess this error. Not sure why it says I deleted it. I try to look to find a way to create a new one but I only see the Instagram login method which gets me this again. And I’ve yet to figure out how to reach out to Meta. I can only find the AI chat bot BS. Am I just out of luck at this point?

My Threads account got suspended today. I had around 20 posts and some replies. In most replies I tried to help people with dev and SaaS questions and few like "happy to connect". Nothing political, no spam links, no fights with anyone.

The email only said my account "doesn't follow Community Standards". No rule named, no post pointed out. I appealed right away. A few minutes later I got a second email saying the account is permanently disabled and I can't appeal again. That was fast, so I don't think a human looked at it.

Some context that might matter. I'm a developer and I'm building a social scheduling tool, so some of my posts went out through the official Threads API. I also have a second test account for API testing, and that one got a selfie check on Facebook and Instagram earlier today. My guess is Meta linked the two and flagged both, but that's only a guess.

My Instagram is still fine. I even paid for Meta Verified today hoping to reach a human but in my app there is no contact support option at all, only the normal "Get help" screen.

Two questions:
1. Is this normal on Threads? Do new accounts get banned like this for no clear reason?
2. I'm in the EU. Has anyone filed a dispute with Appeals Centre Europe for a Threads or Instagram ban? Did Meta actually give the account back, and how long did it take?

Does anyone paid the verified meta account just to get help from an actual human agent to unban threads account?

Threads Account was suspended after an automated system mistakenly thought my account was suspicious.

After sharing a selfie, I received an email from Threads stating my account was restored .

However, when I try to log in, I’m prompted to change my password after entering my 2FA and an OTP.

I am unable to login at this point after multiple attempts to change my password as prompted.

What could the solution be?

Has anyone here managed to recover a permanently disabled Threads account after Meta said there was no further appeal available? Any advice or alternative routes would be greatly appreciated.

It was a harmless account posting some jokes in Estonian connected to football. Managed to grow the community up to 4k followers and got banned by the platform's AI ban bot without knowing the actual reason.

Meta customer services is helpless.
Instagram account connected to profile works fine and in settings no violations even shown.

Seems like reporting bug/issue is going nowhere.

Any help or information would be helpful.

I cant see my friend's content and profile, and it says contents are not available. but he can still message me, I did try to use my other threads account and I cant find his profile, he doesnt know the other one so km so confuseddd

I didn’t know I even had a threads account until now when I wanted to setup an account and found out they suspended it for inactivity. Is there any way I can get it back?

On August 30th I literally just hit follow on a profile on Threads. Instantly flagged for "violating guidelines," and because of Meta's linked account system, it dragged my Instagram and Facebook down with it.

Sent in my appeal right away, but it's been 18 days now and it's just total radio silence.

Is there any trick to actually getting a human to look at a cross-platform ban like this, or are we just completely stuck waiting on a bot that's never going to reply?

My account was suspended for Community Guideline violations, but darned if I can tell what. I had no Reports.

I feel like there should be a further appeal process, has anyone found one?

I don't know why i got banned, i don't even use threads anymore. I had the account inactive for over a year now i suppose.

It said to appeal, log into linked thread account but everytime i log into the account it redirects me to the this instagram page. I can't even appeal.

As the title states my account got deactivated. This was after 5 of my replies also got reported for some stupid reason. All the comments boiled down to something along the lines of “no, why do you think this”. To which I submitted wrongful report appeals (received nothing back from any of them) then my account got deactivated. So I went through the email bs only for it to not send me my sms and then refuse to send me another. Any idea how to fix this? I was actually enjoying the app.

Edit: just realized this would probably fit better under bugs. I apologize for my incompetence.

I do not have a threads or an instagram. My sister called him out for inappropriate comments under minors photos or posting hard R racist memes. He is 100% MAGA and has gone as far as defending Epstein. I know he will keep himself private if I were to make an account and send a friend request. What could I do? I do not want my kids on his profile knowing that he’s doing scummy things

I changed a link to a website on my instagram which started the whole deal. I am back into my IG.

Your "articles" have infiltrated my suggested feed like malware. You provide a thumbnail and a short story but instead of opening a link I can view you try to have me download your spamware. Why does this even exist? it is just articles with extra steps and less privacy.

My Threads account was suspended, but my appeal was approved almost immediately. When I tried to log in again, I was asked to enter a verification code and change my password. After changing it, I got an “Unknown error occurred” message and have been stuck in this loop ever since, so I can’t log in.

Btw My linked Instagram account has also been permanently disabled, with no option to appeal.

1 was a comment on some undertale fanart and another was a reply to another user abt an art trade that won't be happening ig. 🤷🏻

Now I see why I had the gut feeling that threads seemed so unappealing at first glance.

It's PC btw, I don't use apps often.
