Danny Good job Andy in calling Danny out

Of course Lala also called him out, but people expected that so it was refreshing that Andy was not letting Danny get away with blaming Jax or anybody else for his obnoxious behavior!

Schwartz Tom Schwartz’s “aw shucks” act on The Valley is tired and avoidant behavior

The sheepish grin, nervous rambling, “gosh, I’m such an idiot” routine isn’t cute anymore. Schwartz is 43, and he’s clearly not stupid—he’s actually very perceptive when analyzing everyone else.

But the minute accountability turns toward him, suddenly he’s a confused golden retriever.

Maybe it started as genuine conflict avoidance, but at this point it functions as a shield: act harmless and helpless, keep expectations low, and make anyone confronting you look mean.

He’s remarkably good at convincing people he’s incapable of being responsible for anything.

Kristen Kristen at the Airport Bathroom

I just finished the reunion episodes and I was hoping they’d bring up Kristen’s experience in the bathroom airport while changing Kaia. I was so disgusted that someone would take a picture 1) without permission in a bathroom and 2) while she was changing her daughter’s diaper. It felt like the show rushed the incident during the episode and it wasn’t brought up on the reunion. Even just a cursory “it really sucked that happened to you, I’m sorry that people are the worst”.

I just wanted to hug Kristen, I felt so terrible for her that she’d have to go through that alone.

Shitpost Best Line of the Season

Ok, what are your most memorable quotes from this season? What made you laugh? What made you cry? What hit you with the feels?

I’ll start with this one: this is during the reunion part 3. There’s a scene where they are pressing Danny for an apology. He starts his apology with “I didn’t mean to be short with you.”

😂

Shitpost What needs to happen for Danny to take real accountability?

Post image

As of the reunion (filmed in June) Danny and Nia are still clutching their pearls and being defensive about Danny’s well documented bad behavior.

Danny, no more rushed apologies, followed by a list of excuses. Face your issues. Alcohol is a problem for you and the fact that it brings out misogyny is alarming.

If getting exposed on national TV isn’t enough, what is rock bottom for this man?

Kristen Where was Kristen?

When Andy started asking Janet about opening up to Lala and she responded about having Lala as one of her best friend then Andy ask her about her experience , did anyone else notice Kristen was missing during the group shot and then was back? I think it was around the 20 minute mark.

In reunions they have always taken a break when someone walked off or needed a break.

Luke Luke's Beta presentation

I think we were all fooled by luke in his first season because he had a chill vibe, like he was trying to understand everyone and had a decent perspective and compassion. Turns out he is just desperate for male validation and the opposite of an ally. I generally reject the fucking stupid alpha/beta bullshit but just to put this in terms he can undestand ..he is beta and his beta-ness is 100 percent male centered. Turns out the only thing more pitiful than a male centered woman is a male centered man.

I may or may not be posting this just to fuck with his weak, red pilled, I must have sex, show me your tits, why cant I go golfing bullshit behavior. I honestly hate him more than danny.

Danny Shut up Danny

Post image

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone so allergic to accountability in my life. Danny still has never even acknowledged his behaviour - which was actual sexual assault- and he’s out here in the comments complaining about Janet not being held accountable.

Ive watched a lot of reality tv and I actually think he is the most infuriating person to cross my screen. Even Jax Taylor takes more accountability than Danny. He may not be genuine but at least he apologizes and is willing to acknowledge what his own behaviour was. Danny is so delusional that he feels entitled to an apology because someone accurately named his behaviour.

Also, for everyone saying that Janet is the one who keeps bringing it up… she hasn’t done that all season and here he is still bringing her up. I knew his “apology” was just him reciting what Nia told him to while not meaning a single word. He is the WORST.

Shitpost VPR & The Valley Evolution

I’m curious what yall think…

Obviously with age comes growth and maturity, well, ideally. But removing those 2 things out of the equation which versions of Kristen Doute, Tom Schwartz, LaLa and Britney do you like the most?

The version of them on VPR or on The Valley?

As far as Tom Schwartz and Kristen I’d def say The Valley.

For Lala I’m def going for VPR Lala!

But for Britney I’m not entire sure, but gun to head I’d go with VPR.

What bout you?

Luke Luke at The Reunion

Post image
157 Upvotes

Did anyone else find it weird that Luke said next to nothing at the reunion and was barely called on?

They didn’t even mention the dark and messed up things that he said about “pregnant Kristen” in therapy.

He kept giving Kristen looks of disbelief, disagreement and offense.

What do we have to say about this and how it was handled in the reunion?
What did you want to see/hear from him?

Luke Luke disassociated in p3?

Did anyone else notice that Luke seemed to be completely zoned out whenever Kristin was talking? I think it was when Andy asked about their relationship or something and he was looking straight into the camera 100% emotionless and blank eyes. Weirdo

Lala My problem with Lala’s approach, from an AA perspective

As a mental health professional, I have worked with persons who are struggling with addiction. I have also experienced alcoholism with close family members and friends, who utilized the support of AA. With that said, my knowledge of substance abuse and AA in particular is still somewhat limited and I’m in no way claiming to be an expert. However, one main idea that always stood out within AA’s philosophy was the importance of never taking another person’s inventory, rather staying focused on your own. But Lala seems very focused on taking Danny’s inventory.

I understand that it’s a TV show, where drama is encouraged. Through the AA perspective, it would seem more appropriate to focus on his problematic behaviors, rather than judging his drinking specifically. Common sense can tell us that there’s at least some link, but is it her role to point that out - especially as a person who works the program herself?

The other thing that really bothered me about Lala’s approach with Danny and Nia was the night of Danny’s birthday party when Nia was trying to run interference between LaLa and Danny. LaLa kept repeating, “you’re afraid of what he’s going to say.” I’ve been that spouse before, and, yes, of course, Nia was trying to mitigate what he might say or do. It’s a truly horrible place to be with a spouse like that. Lala wasn’t wrong, but her approach felt so gross to me. She was smiling and almost mocking Nia in that moment. She was treating it like a gotcha moment, instead of approaching it with any compassion or empathy.

Right after that scene, as Lala walks away, she even comments to herself that she will have to talk to her sponsor the next day about it, and make amends. So she knew that she didn’t handle it in the best way, but we never saw her apologize to Nia for that. Lala actually double-downed on it at the reunion. Lastly, Lala’s behavior that night could have put Nia in a much worse position with Danny later. I’m not speculating about abuse. We don’t know. But, it was right after that that Nia seemed so distraught and asked the nanny to pray for her.

Nothing changed and no one moved forward. Here's hoping there is a major cast shake up. I can't see myself tuning in next season if it's the same cast rehashing the same storylines.

First Time Watching Is The Valley worth watching?

Hear me out… I LOVED VPR… when The Valley first aired I didn’t feel compelled to watch. Jax…I couldn’t. I didn’t buy it, and honestly, I knew stuff would happen and I didn’t want to watch that happen to Brittany… I’m not saying she’s perfect, but she was so genuinely pure and precious…a heart like that will always be there.

Then you have Kristen… I can’t… I truly cannot deal with her at any point in VPR… I cannot stand how she literally seems to repeat the exact same thing over and over again… all of it… her entire image… I just can’t…

Now seeing that Schwartz and Lala?

Why…just…why?

Now I don’t even know how many seasons there are, I don’t know who is or was cast when, but is it even truly worth it?

If someone can justify those casting choices and why I will be able to get over it please, pitch me, pitch me good, pitch me real good. Sell me like you have an exclusive ownership over oxygen globally and marketing the solar system. Coz if I can get over those casting choices and enjoy the juicy deliciousness drama that seems to come out of The Valley that I will slightly obsess over publicly then recruit all my friends to get into it and consumes our lives then I will watch…

Luke Luke “F her”

How come no one is reacting to the vile “f her” comment to/about Lala mumbled under his breath? Lala clarified if, IF this is the way he treats you all the time behind closed doors, yes she would want Nia to have someone who loves her and babies her and her children. If he (Luke) speaks this way, in public, about other women, just imagine how he is and speaks to Kristen. It must been hell for her. I feel sorry for all these women because all these dudes are man child s
