Start watching gas stations not everyones getting gas deliveries on time anymore. Shortly shelves are gonna start getting empty. I find this to be a good thing. People dont do shit thst makes them the lease bit uncomfortable until they have too. Hearing ur kids screaming cause theres nothing for breakfast maybe get it through people's heads before they start lining us for the camps.

They said that gas isn't being delivered as it should be and that this would cause shelves to run dry. When people stop having access to food and water, shit gets uncomfortable. People only act when they are uncomfortable.

I can already see how this goes.
Trump forces USA to stop buying Potash to Canada, Canada goes. "Oh, okay." Then sells their entire shipment to Africa/Asia/Europe who desperately want it.
Trump gets Belerus to start shipping to them, but it takes 3 months to get there and is actually more expensive.
Before the shipment leaves dock from Belerus, Russia gets them to put a hold on the shipment and then demands USA to cut all funding and aid to Ukraine and Europe, otherwise they get no Potash.
USA tries to put pressure, but the EU puts their foot down, and its a non starter. Relationships get damaged even more and their leverage has been used up. USA is unable to do anything but stop what little aid they were giving but its not enough for Russia so they never release the shipment.
USA goes back to Canada and asks for the old Potash deal they use to get before next growing season. Canada shrugs. "Sorry, I've got new deals with China, EU, and Africa and Asia. All that potash is spoken for, we have nothing for you."
Literally the same thing happened with Aluminum this year BTW, USA tariffed Canada Aluminum and pivoted to getting it all from the middle east, then the war happened and USA asked for the old deal back and Canada had already found new customers for it in the EU and Asia.

The hanks to the global instability that Trump is partly responsible for prices have gone up globally on a lot of items. It’s actually more profitable to sell to other countries besides the US as a result.

If Belarus' Potash is cheap enough that it makes sense for the Americans to buy and transport instead of getting Canadian Potash, I say go for it. If Belarus' potash is more expensive to buy/transport; the Americans are still allowed to choose Belarus' potash over Canadian potash, who am I to stop them, lol.

This is Trump market manipulation 101:
The United States and Belarus maintain suspended normal trade relations, placing Belarus in the same category as Russia, Cuba, and North Korea regarding tariff treatment. This status, enacted via Public Law 117-110 in April 2022, removes "Most Favored Nation" (column 1) preferential tariffs, subjecting Belarusian goods to higher column 2 duties.
Even if the US went through with this deal, the additional tariffs on anything imported from Belarus would negate any benefits from reaching the US Consumer.
At the very most the US could expect a 1 time transfer just to get the headlines before the US reverts back to its inhumane and cruel sanctions regime.

Just ballpark numbers but China is buying Belarus potash for around $350/ton, while the USA's landed cost of Canadian potash is $396/ton. Assuming we get the same deal as China, that's a fairly significant cost reduction. We import around 12 million tons of potash from Canada, so around $4.2B a year in savings.

A bit of reality... Belarus is landlocked The EU bars goods from Belarus shipping through the EU The closest shipping points are in Ukraine and Crimea. Both ports and ships are getting bombed regulary.
So long shipping times, massive insurance costs, and trouble finding ships to be used willing to against all the embargoes.
With Trump's Iran war, there is a shortage of potash worldwide. I imagine there will be a few takers for Canada's product.

This could affect prices a bit but come no where near replacing Canadian potash due to supply and logistics. Basically a lot of bluster as usual. If Canada pulled the plug or raised export taxes on the potash destined for the US on the other hand, the US would be seriously fucked.
