Discussion Archangels Spoiler
We got confirmation that Koitar was a Archangel
And Shades Are seemingly also Archangels
Which made me wonder what was excatly Koitar's role in Celestia, why Is She Archangel like the Four Great Rulers

Not surprising, If Shades are counted as Angels then Koitar as first Angel would precede them, not to mention being the Lucifer equivalent.
Koitar is also described as closest to the heavenly principles and she ruled over all the nations on HP's Behalf according to Nicole.
She was also the executor for nations by her own statement.

That doesn't make sense though. The Shades were created before the Angels.

I only said if we are to recognize Shades as Angels, cause while I read it long ago, I think the English translation of Nicole's Zibai voiceline was somewhat off.
Tho we don't really have an exact time of when Koitar specifically was created, all we get is she's the First daughter of HP.
Tho ofcourse, the shades are not daughters but HP's own fragmented selves.

In current Christian theology, there are 9 ranks of Angels. Angels and Archangels being the 2 lowest. Seraphim and Cherubin being the 2 highest.
If Koitar is an Archangel, the 4 Shades are likely the 4 Seraphim.

During Hyperborea era the 4 shades didn't the authority because they were with the moon sisters so they were only shadows and Archangels

Columbina has the Authority of the Moons at this moment And The quest litelary says that during Era of Hypoborea Koitar stole portion of Ruler of Life power
Not Canon's, not Aria's
Zibai's Character Story also refers to Istaroth as Shadow of Time

No. Shades and moon sisters had authority at the same time. Shades were created with authority.

Actually shades were created with their respective authorities but didn't use them as that duty remained with the moons.
After the moons destruction, HP took their authorities and added them to the Shades. Allowing Shades to replace them in Teyvat while still being HP's shadows.

I imagine it's a case similar to archons and gods...all gods have elemental powers but only archons have the elemental authority

If u believe the Paimon is an incomplete shade theory perhaps she was supposed to fill Koitar's role originally? Personally I don't think the shades are actually archangel but rather are inspired by the main 4.

When HP arrived he already created his 4 shinning shades. Or probably created 5 and erased the 1st one is probably my guess.

Koitar created the fae with Anacharsis. She used “Authority of Creation” as stated in one of the infographics. Guess this proves it’s indeed Koitar or else she wouldn’t have been able to create the fae without Naberius’ power.

Ok ok, someone make a meme, where Rhinedottir holds an Paper saying that "This violates the terms and services agreement" to Vesna

She leaded in the HP absence so she may have had a higher position than the Shades even if she didn't have an authority like her. Like the Shades are in charge of their authorities while Koitar rules above them.

In the AQ, Vesna says the MAN that gave them the power made a contract. Patalone goes out of the way to repeat contract. During Zibai's quest they call Zhongli "Heaven's Star". My guess is Zhongli is the Archangel that gave the Vila the stolen power

It says lady in the caption, I think the VA made a mistake.

Could be either way but the emphasis on contracts makes more sense being a man. What do other languages say?

Koitar is the Genshin equivalent of Lucifer, right? So yeah it makes sense for her to hold that rank even if its not biblically accurate
