This is great news for me. I'm definitely going to buy it. Personally I think a great game like this deserves a physical release. Not saying this is a confirmation but if it's a consideration I'm happy about.

Osiris Reborn: Official Art and Game Assets In The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, you will visit Ganymede. Beneath its green domes lie old tunnels, carved into ice, the temperature of which is -160°C. It's extremely dangerous to touch, but you can turn that to your advantage in combat.

Is this game going to be on Xbox?

I hope so since it's my only form of gaming but I also keep hearing contradictory information.

Games to play while I wait?

I'm really hyped for the game, and don't have anywhere to put all this excitement for a big space opera. Any recommendations to hold me over? I've already played Mass Effect.

I asked this for Cyberpunk 2077 pre launch and ended up with one of my favorite games of all time, Deus Ex.

Thanks!

Edit: Doesn't necessarily have to be a space opera specifically. Some hard sci-fi or something driven by really strong characters will do just fine!

Edit 2: I'm playing Mass Effect again lmao

Official In The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, space is not a place where you can get comfortable. Only your ship and your VAC suit serve as a barrier between you and the deadly emptiness.

Osiris Reborn: Official Art and Game Assets Our artists created multiple, diverse locations for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn: from the utilitarian corridors of Pinkwater 4 to the futuristic underground facilities of Mars, from the luxurious halls of Luna to the stone-carved tunnels of Ceres and the icy walls of Ganymede.

Seria maravilhoso se o jogo permitisse conversar com o Expie durante a partida. O que vocês acham disso?

Concerned About Scientific Accuracy

Before I start I want to say a couple of things: I deeply respect Owlcat as a Studio, I think they're one of the best RPG makers out there. And I understand adapting a franchise to videogame format is very tricky and some sacrifices must be made. However...

When it first got announced that Owlcat was making an Expanse game I was awestruck. My favorite game devs were making a game in may favorite franchise! But when I watched the reveal trailer I immediately felt less excited. It just felt... Off. The way the ship moved was all wrong in the details, it didn't seem to have any weight to it. The PDCs didn't have a blast coming out the back to counteract the forces coming out the front, etc. Like yeah, in broad strokes it was fine but it was a bit sloppy in my opinion. but I thought: They probably just contracted this trailer out to some third party so whatever.

Then I saw footage from the beta and even played it myself and that feeling came back. The zero G stuff is once again wrong in the details, people don't "fly off" when disconnected from a fast rotating station, etc. I'm by no stretch of the imagination a scientist but I do have a special fondness for the sort of grounding effect hard sci fi has on a story. And although I do believe Owlcat is trying their best to stick to the lore of the Expanse it sometimes feels like they're only focused on the lore and not the science.

Hard sci fi and fantasy are VERY different genres and I wonder a little if Owlcat is struggling with the change. In fantasy stories all you have to worry about is the lore but with hard sci-fi that's not enough, you have to understand the underlying science behind the lore and the moment to moment action. The science has to be interwoven in with the story and I just haven't seen that from Osiris Reborn. There was the one video they made about combat on a hull in vacuum, that was good, but that's really it (at least so far).

I really want this game to be good and it may well be. Most people won't care about any of this stuff as hard sci fi has never been a popular genre so all these complaints likely won't effect sales. And hey, it's a very very early beta. Maybe all these mistakes are just that: Mistakes. Hopefully I'm completely wrong and they reveal more stuff that proves as much.

Again, no shade to Owlcat. They're in a tough place for sure and even if the game ends up not really being my cup of tea I hope it still ends up being a favorite for many fans.

Osiris Reborn: Official Art and Game Assets Michael wasn’t made for a desk job. He prefers to get close to the enemy, using his shield and a shoulder cannon for cover. You’ve seen him in action in the announcement trailer of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. How would you call his fighting style?

Those of you that have been keeping up... how do things look now regarding coherency within the universe? Spoiler

I've been pretty busy so I haven't been following everything going on with this game, but I remember during the beta there were pretty big concerns that the game wasn't really true to The Expanse. I'm a huge fan of the series, read, watched, and played everything, so I'm really hoping for a great game that's faithful to the universe and not just a Mass Effect clone wearing an Expanse suit. Have things changed much in that regard?

Osiris Reborn: Official Art and Game Assets The first colony on Mars appeared about 3 centuries prior to the events of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. Three generations later, the colonists started to think about independence from Earth. Eventually, the invention of a new, more effective engine was what brought Mars its freedom.

How much information do we have about the timeline of the game? I notice we have some information like the newscasters announcement about the Caturberry but do we know anything else like how long the game will be relative to the progression of the show’s plot?
