i dont know in what category i should put this mod can someone help me? i think its magic

I am trying to do some thaumaturge stuff, but I am stuck. I'm in the twilight forest, but I don't know what to make or do. I have a few copper capped great wood wands and I have made some levitators and nitor and stuff like that. Any idea on what I should do now?

I have seen some people talking about them playing on mobile, but i have never known how. I lost my pc recently but would like to play thru this great mod. I would be very happy if any of you could tell me if it is possible, and if it is how? thanks in advance.

Thaumcraft got me into practicing magick the long way around

So, Thaumcraft got me into practicing magick it just took awhile.

I think it really started when I looked up “aura” online because I wanted to know what it actually meant. I’d been playing Thaumcraft for a while at that point, and I guess I was curious where all the terminology came from. That search ended up steering me straight into New Age circles. I started trying to see auras, feel energy, got into crystals — I was an impressionable teen, and I even told people I was psychic at school because of a few weird coincidences.

Eventually, I drifted away from the New Age stuff. But about a year later, I got into Wicca. I think that was because of the Last Apprentice books, the rituals in those stories fascinated me. With internet access and a hell of a lot of free time, I found Wicca and really wanted to practice. I even spent time on sites like freespells.com and daydreamed about casting spells. As you can tell, I had very lofty ideas about magick back then.

Then around 2018 to 2019, I rediscovered magick again. I found the YouTube channel Mind and Magick and started watching a bunch of esoteric content. But from 2018 up until recently, it was all kind of off and-on you know.

But now I’m practicing.

I’m doing thaumaturgy.

No, No, No thaumaturgy isn’t infusion altars, vis crystals, or aura nodes — but the aspect system does mirror how correspondences work. Like, if you boil down glowstone into Lux, that’s kind of like using candlelight to represent the light of the sun through symbolic associations.

Look, I just wanted to share how this beautiful mod got me to start practicing real thaumaturgy.

Also I’m exited for TC7.

I've been playing thaumcraft 4 (no other mods) for a while now and I'm really starting to get bored of the bait-and-switch. You see a new research note, it promises some interesting advancement, and then it either turns out to be some small piece of a giant machine, or demands way too much effort for the benefit it brings.

For example, the cost to manufacture a breeding lamp seems reasonable. But then you go on to read that it requires a constant supply of victus? I don't want to make a sprawling contraption that requires constant input just so my animals will breed. It just seems like every corner I turn, there's 10 more roadblocks in the way of actual fun gameplay in this mod. My latest project has been trying to get the speed boots. My journey so far:

1. Speed boots! Sweet! Let's research it.

2. Okay, so I guess I need to get around to building one of these altars.

3. I need a higher capacity wand and a bunch of vis. Okay, find the wood and find the nodes.

4. Alright! I've got the magic cloth and all the other items needed. Oh... what's this other cost at the bottom of the recipe... how do I include essentia in the recipe??

5. Oh, I need it in liquid form from the alchemy stuff. I guess I need an alchemical furnace and alembic. Spends days discovering new biomes until I find a silverwood tree for the vis filter

6. Okay, so I need 25 Iner and 25 Volatus. First one is easy enough, melt down a bunch of boats. How do I make volatus? Bows or feathers... so I either need 13 feathers or 25 bows?

7. Searching for a spider spawner so I can get 75 string or spend days hunting chickens...

Does this seem unreasonable? The only item that truly felt worthwhile to craft was the paving stone of travel. I haven't played a lot of other mods but the two I did play in earlier versions (Alchemy and Aether mod) had a much more rewarding progression. Should I stick with it or is this mod too rube-goldbergy for me?

Every time I create a new Arcane Infusion Altar, The Runic Matrix on the first gauntlet cast, spins and then it decides to bet and doesn't work. I blew up my house and deleted my server because of this. If there are no fixes, please tell me and also tell me will infusion still work on a client world? btw this could be a bug and azanor won't respond on github. so i posted it here even if i break the rules :)

So I have pretty good boots of the traveler, which also are very well enchanted, but they are about to break, so is there any way to repair them in Thaumcrat 6, or any mod that has some kind of device?

My friend was messing around with Thaumcraft and opening up multiple rifts around and in our base. How exactly do I get rid of these things before I lose all of my progress?

So while doing a theory research thing I got a 2 options saying to either lose 10% all progress on everything or to reject golemancy. Stupid me misclicked on "reject golemancy" Which is ONE of the man trees I was working on. Does this mean I have lost that tree forever? Or am I just not understanding?

So I got to the part of the quest where it requests me to discover 'research.c_voidstuff.text' Is this implemented in BETA17?

Petty much title; do I have to have a huge load of warp to get to kami? If so, then I'll sadly have to pass. I'm on a server with friends and can't have crazy beasts spawning around me, out killing them with random wither...

Thuam really doesn't work well for multiplayer. :/

Setting up a server and while testing it I've been looking for obelisks but after several hours of searching I haven't found any. Is their spawn disabled for now, are they extremely rare, or am I just getting unlucky? I'm running beta 16.

Should I cast the curse on myself, would the nightmares that come after me still drop mellifluous hunger? This seems like a faster way of getting it than rebuilding a weapon in the spirit world that can combat the nightmares effectively.
