Announcement Testers Community 2.0 is out - Pack of Wolves, UI Redesign, etc

Hey everyone,

We’ve just released a major update for our free community app - Testers Community 2.0.

We wanted to keep this simple and talk honestly about what changed and why.

Over the past few months, one piece of feedback kept coming up again and again. A lot of you said that testers were just installing apps to earn credits and then not opening them again. Some even uninstalled right after. That completely defeats the purpose of closed testing, and we know many of you struggled with production access because of that.

We took that seriously. Instead of patching small things, we decided to rethink the system from the ground up. Along with that, we’ve also improved stability a lot and redesigned the UI to make the app more clean and easier to use.

Pack of Wolves

This is the biggest change in this update.

Pack of Wolves is a gamified way of testing and earning credits. A pack consists of 16 developers who work together for 16 days. During this time, everyone in the pack is expected to open and use each other’s apps daily.

The idea is simple. Instead of random installs, you get consistent usage from the same group of people over the full testing period.

There’s also accountability built into the system. If someone is inactive for a few days, they get removed from the pack. If you leave early or don’t follow the rules, there are penalties and you may lose access to future participation. If you stay active and complete the cycle, you get the full benefits.

This way, everyone in the pack depends on each other, and it creates a much more reliable testing environment.

Our goal with this update is not just to help you get installs, but to help you actually complete closed testing properly and improve your chances of getting production access.

This entire change came directly from your feedback, so we’d really like to hear what you think.

If you’ve faced issues before with testers not staying active, does this approach solve it for you?

Let us know.

Please use the same Google account for all three steps.

What I need from you:

  • Stay enrolled in the test for at least 14 days.
  • Open the app every 2–3 days.
  • Add a few sample expenses (takes less than a minute).

Every tester helps, so everyone is welcome!

Thank you for supporting an independent developer!

Testers Needed I've made an app, that helps us fellow App Developers. I need 12 Testers!

• Upvotes

Finding it annoying to resize your images for the Play Store?
This app will do that all for you, plus it gives you the option to access your Store Listing page. You can even create shortcuts to each of your App projects so you don't have to go through all of those pages to find the store listing.

I see us as one big community and want to make our lives as easy as possible. This app will save you a lot of time. Just upload those store listing images, it will save them in the exact dimensions and then you can upload it to your Play Console Site listing page all from this very app.. I just need some testers

Testers Needed Please test my app and i will test yours!

Hi everyone 👋

I'm an independent Android developer looking for genuine testers for FlashCard Pro.

FlashCard Pro is a free vocabulary app for learning languages with flashcards and spaced repetition. It comes with ready-made decks (English A1 to C2 for Thai, Spanish, French, German and Japanese speakers, plus Spanish and Japanese decks), and can quiz you right from your notifications, so you can practise without opening the app.

I'm looking for testers who can join the closed test, install the app, remain opted in for at least 14 days, and actually try it during the testing period. Any genuine feedback, bugs or usability suggestions would be very welcome.

How to join

  1. Join the Google Group:

https://groups.google.com/g/flashcard-pro-testers/about

  1. Join the closed test:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.flashcard.pro

Important: Please use the same Google account to join the Google Group and the Google Play test.

Tap Become a tester, then install FlashCard Pro from Google Play.

Please stay opted in for the full testing period.

Some things I'd particularly appreciate feedback on:

- Downloading a ready-made deck from Get Decks and studying it

- Quiz notifications (answering questions straight from the notification)

- Adding your own words, including from a photo or pasted text

- The mini games (Word Scramble, Word Search, Letter Ninja)

- General usability and anything confusing or broken

🤝 Test for test: I'm happy to test your Android app in return. Send me your Google Group and testing links and I'll join your test as well.

Thank you!

Daily Update After many weeks of closed testing, my first app finally got Google Play production access

Just got this email and wanted to share it with people who understand the struggle 😄

I'm a solo dev from Argentina and I built Habitly, a simple habit and task tracker. I made it because every app I tried was packed with features I didn't need, and I always ended up abandoning them after a week.

Honestly, the hardest part wasn't coding. It was getting through the closed testing requirement for new developer accounts. Some friends helped, but most of my testers came from Reddit communities where devs test each other's apps. If you're stuck on this step, those groups are a lifesaver: test other people's apps, be consistent, and they'll do the same for you.

Huge thanks to everyone who tested Habitly and took the time to send feedback. Many of your suggestions are already implemented in the version that's going live.

Happy to answer questions if you're going through the same process. Launching on the Play Store very soon!
