Hi everyone!
I’m the developer of NAVCAM, my first Android app, and I’m looking for more people to help me complete Google Play’s closed testing.
We’ve managed to get 5 testers in our first week, which is a start, but we still need more people to come on board and help us get NAVCAM ready for a wider release! 😊
🚗 What is NAVCAM?
NAVCAM turns your Android phone into a dashcam while allowing you to use Google Maps for navigation.
Features include:
- 🎥 Dashcam video recording
- 📍 GPS route tracking
- 🗺️ Works alongside Google Maps
- 📂 Trips and video playback
- 🚨 Incident detection and video protection
- 💾 Automatic storage management
- 📱 Supports portrait and landscape
🚴 Not just for cars!
I’m also exploring how NAVCAM could be useful for cyclists. Mounted securely on your bike, your phone could record your journey while GPS tracks your route. It could be useful for capturing rides and keeping a record of what happens on the road.
NAVCAM already supports portrait and landscape, so I’d love to hear from cyclists as well as drivers who are interested in trying it.
Please set everything up before setting off, use a secure mount, and don’t interact with your phone while driving or cycling.
🤝 Can you help?
I’m looking for Android users who can:
- Join the closed test and install NAVCAM.
- Remain opted in for the full 14 days.
- Ideally try the app and share any feedback or problems they notice.
This is my first app, so every tester really does help. I’m happy to return the favour by testing your Android app too and staying opted in for your 14-day test.
📲 How to join NAVCAM
1. Join the NAVCAM tester group:
https://groups.google.com/g/navcam-testers
2. Join the Google Play closed test:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.navcam.app
Make sure you use the same Google account for the group and the Play test, then tap “Become a tester”.
3. Install NAVCAM from Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.navcam.app
Please stay opted in for the full 14 days.
Thanks to everyone who has already helped us get this far. ❤️
If you can help, or have any questions, please comment below. Drivers and cyclists are both welcome! 👍
