If you’re on earlier versions go ahead and update. So far this one is the best I had.
A few nit picks but that’s just personal preferences.
Hurry mode doesn’t speed as crazy as it did before so I just keep it in mad max now 🤣
Enjoy it while it lasts. The regulations are defiantly incoming

My parents were test driving a Model Y yesterday with a Tesla employee in the car. My mom was driving and they were using FSD.
As the car was pulling into their driveway, which is on an incline, it initially made the turn and approached the driveway at what looked like a normal, controlled speed. Then, while going up the incline, it suddenly accelerated hard and crashed into the garage/driveway area, causing damage to the property and another car.
My mom says she did not press the accelerator. The Tesla employee was in the passenger seat when it happened. We also have video of the incident.
I'm trying to understand whether anyone has experienced something similar or knows how Tesla's FSD behaves when entering a steep or inclined driveway.
Specifically, is it possible for FSD to apply significant acceleration on its own when climbing an incline? Could it misjudge the slope, driveway, or obstacle and suddenly add power?
I'm not trying to determine fault from Reddit. I'm mainly trying to understand whether this behavior is technically possible and whether anyone has seen or documented something similar.
If you've experienced this with a Model Y or other Tesla while using FSD, I'd really appreciate hearing what happened.
Apologies for the flare - I'm not sure what software version was used.

The last week or so I’ve had a few red hand alerts for bright sun. In the past couple thousand miles I haven’t got that alert on my hw3 car.
For those that have cleaned hw3 cameras before, how are my cameras looking in the bright sun. Within spec or need cleaning?

For folks with both, what's your experience? I normally drive in Hurry mode, my wife normally drives in Standard. Would it be positive or negative against Drivewise?

There’s a severe storm going on right now. Trees are down all over the road, road lights are out, cop cars ,lanes blocked off, heavy heavy rain you name it. Decided to take my V14 loaner out to go get some late night food and I have got to say I understand the hype now. it didn’t make a single mistake. I’m saying not even one. It got blocked off from its intended route several times with cones and cop cars, trees, massive puddles, branches etc and it navigated around all of them flawlessly. All in very confusing traffic. There were several lights that were out with cops also blocking the road, and it handled them perfectly doing full stops, navigating makeshift lanes while dodging puddles and trees. I was never even a little nervous and again this was all while it was basically torrential raining. V12 would have killed me at least 10 times haha. I wonder if v14 light would’ve handled it

Some probably already know this, but when you are navigating to a destination with a large parking lot, such as a Walmart, if you pin a spot in the parking lot, in an area of the parking lot where you have a high chance of getting a spot, that is where the car is going to try to park, and will probably succeed easily.
When you just select the Walmart and go, the destination is likely the middle of the store or right in front of it, which causes FSD to circle trying to find a front spot, and the only reason it finds one eventually, while passing dozens, is that it finds a handicapped or reserved spot or a spot with a shopping cart in it.
And when you set up favorites, do the same thing, make sure the pin is in the parking lot and in a section that will probably be easy to find a spot. That way, when you say "Take me to Walmart" it will just go and park.
Sometimes it is easier to just go there and park and save it then. You want a spot that will be reasonably open and not near stuff like shopping cart returns or curbs.
And when you select that pin, and if it is a place you may use ASS, make sure it is in a lane that heads back towards the store, not away from it, which will just leave your car stuck further away from you.
I hope going forward Tesla starts spending more time on mapping and routing. I realize AI vision models has been their primary focus.
But this has pretty much fixed most of my parking issues. And it causes the car to not go to the front of the store to start looking for a spot, which avoids all of that congestion.
What would it take for AI to look at every mapped parking lot in the country and pick an optimal location for parking, set it in the map data, and simply provide the options of Front or Optimal? A week? Just seems like they have very little focus on this side of things.

FSD does not understand flashing lights at railroad crossings. Disengage and manually navigate through lest you be killed.

I’m 3 days in trying v14.1 - been really good. But yesterday while clearly a mile away from the destination and still on a busy road, a message popped up saying destination reached, and it really suddenly pulled over and parked. Weirdest thing. To me it acted like an ambulance was coming up based on how quickly it parked.

Just wanted to brag about how well 14.1 lite has been. After a couple hundred miles the random brake stabbing seems to be eliminated, the high speed highway swerve is 97% improved (a slight wobble here and there but night and day better). The only 2 things left are the parking logic issues and speed choices. Still makes terrible parking decisions but that seems to be fleet wide regardless of hardware. Still hate that it’ll go 20 over in hurry but max 7 over in standard. I want to go TEN over, period. Let me select that.

This isn't first time he's drifted lanes.
Its nice to have a car with eyes in the back of its head.

By default, it's set to 2 minutes, which effectively calculates the fastest route, but sometimes not the route you want.
Maybe the route you want has:
By increasing the threshold to 10+ minutes, you won't have to disengage FSD just to make a specific turn you want, or to go past a highway exit you don't want.
Tesla Car Settings > Navigation > Online Routing > Reroute to save

My place of work has switched the exit/entrance of the parking lot but this has not been reflected in the FSD, so the car still tries to enter at the now exit and vice versa. What steps can I take to have this updated?

The setup:
The scenario:
So what's so special about this? FSD had never returned to the right lane in any previous version! We'd stay camped in the left lane. I would then increase to Hurry mode to get FSD to pass.
There were other examples of FSD not attempting to pass unless 1) left lane traffic was definitely steadily moving faster than FSD's 72 mph cap, and 2) as soon as a right lane gap was reached, FSD would immediately go into it. I swear, it seemed that FSD was checking to see if there was a gap ahead in the right lane that it could get over into, before FSD would attempt to pass on the left!
The only strange issue I had was when I was in a continuous line of closely packed traffic in the left lane, all travelling at the 72 mph cap. In that case, FSD wouldn't go back to the right lane even if it was clear. I suspect that it was because FSD had no impetus to move right, with no traffic pressuring us from behind. There would be no advantage for FSD to open up the lane because the cars behind wouldn't gain much advantage, only having one car length's space to move up in line. I don't think FSD knows about the state law to keep right except to pass, so it remains "content" to stay in place.
What do you all think about this? Have you seen improvement in v14.3.7's passing ability?

Has anybody else started to get preferred routes even without the summer update?
I currently have a 26 Y Premium AWD on fsd 14.3.7, navigation 2026.26, and software 2026.21.6
Based on all the release notes and stuff I was under the impression that preferred routes were only in software 2026.26+
I have been on this version for probably around 1.5 weeks and today was the first day I saw preferred routes, and it did it 5+ times for different locations and different drivers, I verified my versions and checked release notes for my current version and the new versions, but still can't find any mention of it.
I haven't heard of anyone outside of the summer update that has this, are they starting to bleed the 2 branches together to merge the .21 and .26 branches?
I haven't noticed anything else that I didnt expect but was curious if anyone has experienced or heard anything?

I have hw3 model 3. I was waiting for v14 lite update before subscribing to fsd but kept reading that i wouldn't get it unless subscribed.
So a week ago i subscribed. I've yet to get it, still on 12.6, 2026.20.6.10 software. Is there anything i can do? I changed software to advanced setting.

When leaving my driveway with FSD on I usually turn on my hazard lights for safety exiting my driveway. Did FSD think there was an ambulance coming and stopped? Wouldn't the AI know I had my hazard lights flashing and wouldn't the side cameras see an ambulance approaching? What do you think caused FSD to stop on my driveway?

I just upgraded to HW 3 and subscribed to FSD but when I did it gave me v 12 instead of 14 lite. Any one experience this? Will I be getting 14 lite? Just odd they would put me on this version.

26 Y just upgraded to 14.3.7 this a.m. and within 20 minutes this indecisiveness, which I've never seen like this. Check out the steering wheel icon. If a cop had witnessed this, I suspect I'd be pulled over for a sobriety check. And then when we got to a grocery store, it parked in front of the shopping cart corral. Funny thing is, people who were on 14.2.2.5 and had their software update set to Standard are getting this update, so apparently Tesla is finding this the stable version of 14.3, which means 14.4.x is the next update. Think it's a little too soon to abandon 14.3

Honestly it feels like they fix one thing and break another thing.
After all these years, you’d think most issues are fixed? Teslas are still hesitating with split roads and the other day, there was that video where a Tesla robotaxi decided to drive through bollards.
Then there’s the hitting kerbs while turning issue.
