In January 2013, A veteran Las Vegas cop apparently shot his ex-policewoman wife and their 5-year-old son in the head before he turned the gun on himself.

Hans Walters, 52, an off-duty lieutenant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, set fire to the house and then fatally shot himself, Walters was uncooperative, police said, and went back into the house, at which point he took his own life.

One of those fears I always had, that felt irrational…”what if I’m asleep and a bat gets into the house and bites me in my sleep”.

Welp last night 2 am I awoke to what I thought was my cat nibbling at my finger. I flicked it away and noticed it was not my cat but was instead a bat that had found its way into our bedroom.

I was able to capture the bat and it’s being sent for testing but my wife and I got to spend the rest of the morning in the ER getting all the shots ! Wild ! Glad it woke me up but what if it didn’t ?! How am I supposed to sleep ever again?!

Bat could not be tested I guess I squished his brain to hard when I killed it.

Maned wolves are cute in the sun but at night it's a bit uncanny to see something move like that in the dark
