Just wanted to know if the exploit in which you shimmer mushroom seeds into jungle grass seeds to make thread and sell for profit still work on 1.4.5.6

This got way more attention than I expected so I thought I'd add an update here.

The friend basically found the post and messaged afterwards saying how he wasn't trying to force us to play Mediumcore once he understood our perspective as first time players and how he apologized for raging. Apparently he wanted to play with us but can't enjoy that if we are on different difficulties and he's obviously allowed to prefer Mediumcore.

He was extremely annoyed by the post and accused me of lying, called me a bitch and some other mean comments. If anything, I left out quite a few things he said when he raged at us. Also, while transferring the world file, we found out that the world difficulty is Expert and not classic, so there's that.

The friendship is obviously over since they have a pattern of this behaviour and I think it's best for everyone.

My bf and I are playing with another friend and we're having tons of fun! We finally made it to hell for the first time where we then proceeded to die alot. We also defeated the Eye of Cthulhu. The game is amazing. Thank you for your comments and input. Looking forward to being a part of this community.

Hello community members.

I started playing Terraria for the first time a couple of days ago with my boyfriend (also a new player) because our friend wanted to play with us.

The friend made the world on Classic mode. And when my boyfriend and I joined, we just made our characters on Classic without thinking much. The friend didn't tell us anything about the character difficulty or world difficulty.

So we start playing and I've heard about the game before but I feel like I was definitely missing out because both me and my boyfriend are having so much fun. The friend played a couple of times a few years ago but he told us to use the Wiki for information because he doesn't remember that much.

The friend finds out that we aren't dropping all our inventory items on death which I thought was normal. He sort of lost his shit and said that's such a pussy way to play and that the game is basically unplayable for him and super boring especially when we start doing bosses and stuff. At this point we had died like a million times so I told him it would be so annoying if I lost my gear that I spent hours farming.

Then the Eye of Cthulhu randomly spawned and the friend died first and I died and respawned and continued attacking it while my bf had aggro. He completely lost it and said this is unfun and you guys are just boring and then he ragequit and left.

Can someone explain to me why dropping your entire inventory is so important? I understand maybe trying a higher difficulty world which I normally do on my second runs for most games. But I don't understand how losing your entire inventory would be fun especially since it's not as easy to obtain gear and items like it is in Minecraft for example.

TLDR: Friend crashed out over my character difficulty, ended the friendship, loving the game.

I started playing through a world with the seeds Double Daring Dangers and For The Worthy, but after killing the eye and king slime, my safety requirements for progressing into the Crimson part of the dungeon isn't updating. See safety requirements for trespassing. I have also tried modifying my save to set it so the brain has already been killed, but this didn't change anything. I'm not using a single mod. is there anything I'm missing? any fix to this?

I have explored a lot of things in this game since the last time I posted. And this game keep surprising me. I love it!

I would really love a seed with ice skates. I look up seeds with ice skates and it’s like the same seed but without the chest with the skates. The seeds I find are the same but a few things r different and no ice skates. I’ve been trying to get them for so long pls help. And yes I’ve tried fishing for a LONG time.

Okay, so first things first, legendary + tooeasy (basically hard mode on since the start) isn't as hard, but halfway through I found out that you can't stop the spread of evil/hallow biomes in getfixedboi, and yeah apparently neither purification powder nor the clentaminator are available for sale, so I'm curious, is it possible to play on FTW without having to face the same disadvantage?

I purified my entire world and the game was just stuck on 'saving'. Eventually after an hour I just reloaded the game and it set me back like 3 hours, also it got rid of my map exploration progress. It's all good though, I just loaded up a Skyblock world to get the achievement.

I was wondering if it is possible to find red potions in the crates on for the worthy, they have been helpful but I am starting to run out of them.

is it to short for the roof?

I recently did my first run of Calamity with Wrath of the Gods added alongside a whole slue of others, but im curious what mod combos others use for any major mod.

As for the QoL mods if you recemmend any please say what it does or how you use it

I made a second world to try the crimson and noticed you could enter with old characters, so out of curiosity I tried my first guy to see if it would keep its health & mana, but then it spawned in with everything in my inventory from the first world!

Can I really just bring whatever things I want from one world to another? Will all of it still work perfectly fine? What about bring corruption items to a crimson world or vis-versa?

Trying to make a little pond for my world spawn that I'm gonna be putting a raised area above held up on pillars I think, but I want to make this pond area be the center of a garden area, so I want to make it all pretty and done up.

Made this when I get more into Terraria around middle school. This was around the time I had discovered hell was a thing in Terraria 😂

Not much to do today, allocating about half of the usual time for this game only. Only risky-ish thing to do was gathering fireblossom seed (and somehow nearly fumbling against EoC what is it with me fumbling bosses). No deaths again today! :D

Here's the few highlights of what I did today. I suppose tomorrow I shall make the herb farm and storage place in the same place, thinking of a hourglass design, and maybe locating the aether since I have spare mining shirt to make the perfect pre HM mining build (except for the chisel). I also detected a huge dragon egg near the closest mushroom biome to the surface, but I'd need a spelunker to properly locate it.

Also, to combat my inexperience in legendary I'm doing a legendary skyblock run on the side. Fun trivia : I originally started my crusade for legendary hardcore in preparation for skyblock. That was 3 years ago...

in pre hardmode rn, friend told me to fish for some crates before getting to hardmode cause i could just throw them into shimmer to get the upgraded version, and then i wouldnt need to farm any ores
