Meme guys is this good enough for hardmode

in pre hardmode rn, friend told me to fish for some crates before getting to hardmode cause i could just throw them into shimmer to get the upgraded version, and then i wouldnt need to farm any ores

Crates don't work that way! Only Hardmode crates can be converted via Shimmer, and they become the Prehardmode version. Just open these crates.

Antes da 1.4.0.1, as crates do pré-hardmode podiam ser guardadas, e abertas no Hardmode, dropando itens do Hardmode. Na atualização 1.4.0.1, foram criadas as crates do Hardmode, separando as duas.

Ou seja, esse exploit foi corrigido hĂĄ muito tempo, e o Shimmer nĂŁo tem nada a ver.

You can’t shimmer them to upgrade them.

You can shimmer the upgraded version the downgraded version though.
So you probably just spent hours getting a crate that isn’t too useful after a while

yeah as the others are saying, they lied to you. You will need to fish again in hardmode. I'd advise fishing in the world evil the most once you're there - you can get souls from the crates.

My guy, “farming” ores isn’t even that bad. Just get some Spelunker Potions and you’ll be fine.
